What an absolute gem and oasis on our travels. We booked the Delta in Kamloops as a convenient overnight stop on our scenic road trip from Calgary to Vancouver and found the hotel was exceptional, superbly organised and staff were all unbelievably helpful and friendly. There was secure, convenient underground hotel parking at a reasonable daily rate, with elevator access to all floors (only to the lobby if you have no electronic room key). The location is perfect for downtown Kamloops and we found multiple, nearby walkable options for dinner restaurants, but after having the most gorgeous, high quality cooked to order breakfast (included in our room rate), we wished we had also had our evening meal at the hotel as well! Our room was modern, stylish, spotlessly clean, with large comfortable beds, high quality toiletries and every amenity needed for a relaxing and quiet stay. This is easily the BEST hotel in Kamloops and we noted the Rocky Mountaineer also used this as their overnight passenger hotel stop, whilst we were there. We could not fault our visit and the courteous staff, which stood out as some of the best customer service we experienced on our entire trip. Just brilliant.

Breakfast took a while to receive after ordering, but it was definitely worth the wait as the quality was exceptional.

When we first entered the room, there was a unpleasant smell (sewege) which lingered around the bathroom and entrance. The bathroom and bedroom were clean, but the smell was off putting, we spoke to reception and two members of staff went to investigate. They confirmed they could also smell this and suggested a room spray, my husband asked for an alternative room, however they apologised and said as they were busy, there were no rooms available. My husband asked if there was anything else they could do and they offered us a voucher to cover our breakfast as an apology and room spray. This was acceptable given they were busy, however it was frustrating we had to ask what they could do, rather than them making a suggestion.

Excellent staff. We found all of the staff extremely helpful and friendly. Spotlessly clean, modern bright room. Very good breakfast, plenty of selections. We used the swimming pool, which was lovely. Overall a perfect hotel for a stopover in Kamloops.

The location of the hotel. Typical downtown feel, however security was very good within the hotel. The paper cups in the room and rather mean quantity of creamery. Real cups would have been much nicer and more environmentally frien dly.

Parking isn’t free, which is a shame. The bar staff are also not particularly attentive and there was confusion over the breakfast we had included in the booking: if you choose this, make sure you ask about it on arrival as you’re meant to get a voucher which explains what you’re entitled to, rather than incorrectly assume you can order as you wish.

The location of this Delta Hotel is city center with easy walking to quite a few shops, restaurants and grocery store. There is also a bar and restaurant in the hotel, which we did not try but looked good. Ample parking available. The one night we were there, they had the main street shut down and some type of basketball camp going on for both boys and girls, which was fun to see. The room was comfortable and clean but lacked a lot of room for anything extra like eating take-out and lacked common areas or lounges for the same.

We did not really feel that there was much to do in Kamloops as tourists. The fact that it was Sunday and later in the day when we arrived made options even less. We found the room perfectly comfortable and clean but nothing special so felt it was a bit overpriced, but felt that was true for all accommodations on our trip, not just here. The room is on the small size but a person can easily move around, but the bathrooms were quite tight and difficult to navigate at times. It was the most inexpensive room on our adventure and was quite adequate for positioning to move on to Jasper.

The reception was friendly and helpful. They even gave us a free upgrade to a family suite! The suite was cozy and comfortable, just superb. And for food, absolutely astonishing. We had dinner and breakfast at the only restaurant in the hotel. Kids loved their kid's menu and I particularly enjoyed the local Kamloops Red. Just nothing to complain about. We will definitely come back again!

Not that I didn't like but just better if this was offered, slippers in the suite.

Hotel was excellent and specifically the staf were attentive, friendly and super efficient, very happy. Front desk staff and restaurant staff excellent. Pool was small and cosy and nice place to unwind later in the day. Gym was well equiped

Nothing wrong the Hotel but Kamloops is fairly quiet city, some nice walks but not much there.

Being a Bonvoy member we were upgraded to a top floor view room that was spacious, and were also allowed a late check- out on our last day so we could ski up at Sun Peaks most of the morning and comfortably drive back to check out. We definitely enjoyed the hot tub apres-ski, and found several great restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. And finally, the staff are incredible. The front desk always greeted us and took great care of our stay.

I can't think of anything. Well, I wish I didn't have a separate charge for parking.

This hotel is such a gem. To be greeted so warmly after a long car journey from Jasper and to arrive to such a beautiful oasis of luxury and comfort is something which will stay with us! We were upgraded to the amazing room at the top floor, which was one of the best rooms we have ever stayed in. Thank you

We liked everything!

Incredible staff and super clean and comfortable room. We arrived after being evacuated from the Jasper fires and the staff were amazing and allowed us to check in early to get some sleep. Super accommodating and checked in with us throughout our stay. Restaurant in the hotel also cooks super amazing food.

The area is a stop off location so it isn't somewhere I would stay for longer than a night unless you are wanting some down town.
