The location was great, right in the center. You can walk to a lot of places. The concierges were very helpful. The room was spacious, quiet, we were on the 10th floor. Loved the heating system and the bathroom floor that was heated too. For breakfast, the first day, since we did not get the bacon with the dish we ordered, the waitress replaced it with a bowl of fruits which we appreciated and found very nice.

I booked the room with breakfast included but I had to pay an extra, $3 for a latte every morning that I ordered one. I feel that for the price of the room and the breakfast, the extra charge for a latte was excessive. 2 times also, when we sat down for breakfast in the morning, the table and floor were not cleaned properly, the table was sticky and the floor covered with food, probably from people who ate diner the night before there.

We had an outstanding stay at The EXchange Hotel Vancouver. From start to finish, the experience was upscale, welcoming, and extremely convenient—truly a luxury hotel feel at a more approachable price point. The staff went above and beyond—always friendly and attentive. From holding the doors open to personally handing you your keys from around the check-in desk, everything felt thoughtful and refined, almost like the “Nordstrom” level of service. The rooms were spacious, stylish, and well appointed (though I’ll admit, I’d trade the espresso machine for a traditional coffee maker). One of the best decisions we made was adding the breakfast option. For about $30 per room, we received daily vouchers for everyone in our party staying in the room. Instead of a typical continental breakfast, the vouchers were valid for any entrée at the on-site restaurant. The food was high quality, beautifully presented, and made for a perfect start to each day. Even with our large group of 20, the staff accommodated us seamlessly. The location is also unbeatable. It’s just a 3-minute walk to Waterfront Station, which made getting to and from the airport via the Canada Line incredibly easy. Being two blocks from Canada Place made cruise embarkation a breeze. And when we wanted to visit Grouse Mountain and the Capilano Suspension Bridge, we were pleasantly surprised to find the free shuttles just a few blocks away—super convenient for a day out without needing to arrange transportation. Highly recommend this hotel—top-notch service, comfort, and location all in one.

We had an unforgettable 6-day stay at the Exchange Hotel and everything was just perfect! The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of downtown Vancouver, steps away from Waterfront Station, Gastown, and amazing restaurants and shops. Our room was spotless, stylish, and super cozy. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and great local tips. What really stood out was the vibe — modern, energetic, and classy without being over-the-top. It felt like the perfect mix of comfort and boutique luxury. We’ll definitely be coming back on our next trip to Vancouver. Highly recommended!

We had a late arrival, after midnight and the on-site staff was aware and ready for us, very accommodating! We loved the heated floors in the bathroom, that was such an unexpected luxury! The rooms were spacious and perfect for the quick weekend trip. I absolutely loved the breakfast, however the service/food prep was slow (each morning we ere there for one hour) and cut into our time. The food was delicious though and filled us for hours. The location was great, it was easy to walk to the cruise port and with so much in the area to entertain ourselves for the weekend. High recommend!

A Hidden Gem – Truly Exceptional Service! We recently stayed at The Exchange Hotel in Vancouver and were honestly blown away. The hotel itself is stunning – modern, elegant, and beautifully maintained – but what really made our stay unforgettable was the staff. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine kindness. Every single team member we encountered was friendly, approachable, and incredibly helpful. Whether it was answering questions, assisting with small requests, or just checking in to make sure we were comfortable, they went above and beyond in every way. It’s been a long time since we’ve experienced service this thoughtful and consistent, and it honestly made all the difference. We don’t usually leave reviews, but we just had to for this one. The Exchange Hotel deserves to be a 5-star hotel based on the service alone. Highly recommend staying here – you’ll feel truly looked after!

For 2 friends sharing a room we were able to get 2 x queen beds, plus the room was a little larger than normal hotel rooms. It made for a comfortable stay without having to book a second room. The staff are very kind, friendly and helpful. The beds are very comfortable although I never seem to get a decent pillow in any hotel. The included breakfast is delicious in the separately run restaurant. Fantastic location if cruising from Vancouver Cruise Terminal as it’s only a 7 minute walk. We stayed before and after our cruise and found it easy to walk to the hotel from the cruise ship. They didn’t have a room available straight away as we were 6 hours early, but as soon as one became available they contacted us to let us know. I would definitely stay again if I’m in Vancouver again.

The included breakfast is great but allow plenty of time to get breakfast as the separate restaurant that provides it is very slow. Also, there is no serve yourself buffet so you have to order from the menu. I just wanted toast with jam and it got charged back to the hotel as a special item $26 when other breakfast meals eg omelette and toast were only $16. I didn’t have time to argue as I had to run for an appointment. No extra charge to me but they are ripping off the hotel.

Great hotel in Downtown Vancouver, friendly staff, nice room, spotlessly clean, nice toiletries... very centrally located...there is really nothing bad to say about it. The breakfast they offer works a little bit different than man may be used to. It's offered in a restaurant on the second floor of the building and it offers a menu that you need to choose from, but wow, what a breakfast!!!!! Incredible portions, well cooked, well served... you can choose among different sweet or salty options, from English breakfast to french toasts and they are very accommodating if you want something simpler for your kids for instance! We loved it!

Nothing really!

Great location 4 min walk from Vancouver cruise terminal. Hotel immaculate and staff in the lobby to assist with luggage etc as reception is on a higher floor. Room Deluxe King was perfect Small fridge with fresh milk, kettle and coffee maker all replenished daily. Shower was large and the water was powerful and hot, they provide a hairdryer, bath robes slippers and even a hand held clothes steamer. Everything you needed was at a touch of a button, literally via an ipad. The hotel is walking distance to restaurants and the harbour, I felt safe(as a solo traveller) walking to restaurants in the evening. There is a restaurant, but I was out on excursions so didn't go. They did have a 3hr happy hour everyday ... The staff are amazing, so polite and helpful...I wouldn't hesitate to recomend this hotel.. In fact I will be booking again soon.

Absolutely nothing it's a lovely hotel

It was very clean. The floor we were on (11) had an area for people to meet . There was a chaceuterie board and a white and red wine . It was replenished regularly. In the morning there were pastries coffee etc. Every staff member we met were amazing including the hotel manager who we had no idea who he was until he introduced himself. Very impressed with the whole facility. It is in great area for dining shopping and near the waterfront .

The prices of the onsite restaurant were too expensive . We did not eat there due to that reason. There weren’t any options to have a regular moderate priced items .

Exchange Hotel Staff is beyond courteous, all very kind, helpful, welcoming you with a smile and valuable recommendation to explore the city (even if you arrive at 1AM). From front-seat to concierge, these people understand the meaning of hospitality. Rooms are remodeled and clean. Comfortable, yet small - so may not be the best fit you are the type who travels with big suitcases. The only downside is that it is in downtown and windows are not sound proof - so we could hear sirene and street noise later in the night. Simple earplugs solved it for us, but if you are sensitive to noise, you might be aware of it.
