Perfect location for exploring Halifax -- able to walk everywhere I wanted to go. Every staff member was welcoming and helpful. Room was clean and spacious; having two closets was particularly convenient; great bathroom with a walk-in shower.
The hotel is huge and literally right across from the convention center -- with a restaurant/lounge adjacent to the front desk. As a result, the lobby during prime times feels like it is overflowing with people, so not a place where you want to hang out and relax. Overall price/value is not great, no "extras" included except for water and coffee in the room.

The room was modern, comfortable and well equipped! The restaurant menu was extensive and the bar staff were super friendly and welcoming. Great location- weekends are especially lively on the ground floor, its a bustling hotel with people coming and going. Very much enjoyed the stay!
Room 707 was next to the gym (woke up to the sounds of people dropping weights on the floor) and directly outside my window was the hot tub which meant I had to keep curtains closed whenever I was in my room (lucky closed at 9pm). Don't stay in 707 and I'm sure your stay will be excellent!

The location was perfect for our first visit to Halifax- short walk to the waterfront, the Maritimes Museum and the Citadel. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Parking is available at the hotel at an expected rate. Parking attendants were super friendly and helpful. Front desk was welcoming and efficient. Room was spacious and bathroom was exceptionally large. The bed was very comfortable and I wanted to steal the very cozy pillows.
While the location is centrally located, it is therefore busy and the lobby and parking situation felt a bit hectic. The room had a large, aesthetically acceptable, but annoyingly forceful, air conditioning vent that poured out the air which made sitting in the chair next to it unpleasant, thereby preventing me from sitting and enjoying the view.

The location was great right in the heart of downtown Halifax . Very disappointed, no pool or sauna. TVs were hot working. Price of hotel is higher then it needs to be. I feel Halifax offers other great hotels for less $$$.. They do provide bath robes for you. Nexpresso coffee maker & coffee
Service in the restaurant was not good the night I ordered takeout to my room. Waitress/ hostess left me hanging and order took more than 30 mins for an order of chicken wings. Glass of pop $5.00 was steep.

The hotel was amazing, loved the showers so much and the cleanliness
We did not eat there but my friend who lives here told me to never eat there because the breakfast is horrible. So i avoided the breakfast.

We had a wonderful room with a great view. Beds were comfortable and location is excellent. Right in the heart of downtown. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Asked for an extra robe a couple of times and they brought it right up.
It would be good if there was a breakfast option at the hotel. We had to go out looking for breakfast and would have been easier if there was an option at the hotel. Also, our room was cleaned the first day we were there, but not the second day. We indicated that we wanted the room cleaned and it wasn't so that was a bit disappointing.

Fantastic location - just across from the Citadel. Easy access to everything. REALLY friendly staff throughout the property. Excellent on site restaurant: CHOP (for dinner). Corner King one bedroom upgrade had incredible views of the whole harbor AND the Citadel side. Super quiet - didn't hear anything else in the hotel. Blackout blinds were effective. So glad we chose this spot.
Room service for breakfast was the only thing that was not excellent. They don't begin service until 8:15a (at least on Sunday), and we are early risers. Placed order at 6:30am via a QR code/online app that was a little awkward and did not bill to the room. But OK. However, when food had not arrived by 8:30a, called - placed on long hold - then told it was ready and would be up shortly. Still took a little time, so I think they had missed the early order. Lastly, the 'power protein bowl' was a liquid poured over some granola and fruit. Very odd and not that appetizing. Surprising because we had such an amazing dinner just the night before.

Proximity to event, parking, design style of room is Very nice. Staff called us a taxi one evening which was helpful. There is actually a very good number of towels and facecloths provided, which is very nice to not have to conserve.
Some lack of maintenance of existing equipment. We stayed here when the property was new and all the light sensors worked and were impressed by the modern aspects. At our recent visit, all the lights were disconnected, though still in place. It took something away from the original memories and experience. The faucet on the bathroom was also loose. Staff didn’t open doors as much as the last time we visited. It’s normal for regular hotels but again, we had a different/elevated experience at our first visit No way to connect to TV via phone to stream video is not ideal.

Hotel rooms are excellent! Very modern, comfortable, posh.
Hotel entrance and valet is chaotic. Very small, not well organized. They need someone directing traffic at least come down to the cars and welcome the guess, let them know it will be a few minutes. No communication. Finally a security guard recognized my frustration and told me where to put the car. Finally a valet asked if I was checking in - I said yes and then he disappeared. I finally unloaded my bags and walked to the valet stand myself to get my ticket. There’s also no one to help with your bags, I had a med size check in, a carry on and I large tote. At least the guy hit the auto door button for me. Guests were kind enough to help me by holding the door.

The location was excellent right in the centre of downtown and attached to the Halifax Convention Centre. Made it easy to go in and out of the building for a conference at the convention centre. The lobby is very nice and clean and aesthetically pleasing. All staff greet you upon entry and exiting each time, very friendly staff. The room was big and and clean, not outdated very in style.
I didn't like that my room window was facing an office building as I could see into the offices and likewise they can see into my room. It's a structural issue that the hotel can't fix but maybe next time I'll ask for a room not facing the office buildings. I personally, like to keep the windows open to sunlight but I felt like I had to close the curtains often for privacy.
