Decent breakfast, good location, reasonably comfortable beds, more frequent cleaning than originally promised.

Bathroom could do with a renovation, there was a shortage of electrical socket outlets in convenient places around the room. Also the fire alarm going off in the middle of the night and having to walk down 26 flights of stairs - ok I understand that happens, but there was NO information provided by hotel staff or fire personnel about what was going on whilst we waited an hour...then it appeared everyone was going back inside, so we followed and then when I asked, we got given the information.

The location and price combined was fantastic and really the reasons why we stayed here. It's very close to two stations for subway line 1 and in walking distance to the Eaton Centre, and is surrounded by tons of stores to visit, including a 24/7 convenience store. The price was much less than any actual hotel around. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very very good! It's a buffet style, and was included in the price and we ate there every morning. It even had an ingredients list for each item at the buffet which was very helpful for us since we have kids who can't eat gluten and one who can't have dairy. Items on the breakfast menu included fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, hashbrowns, pancakes, with a rotating schedule of what was offered on different days. We never left hungry. Also each room has its own bathroom which was great, and there was an air conditioner unit in each room.

During our stay, one of our room keys stopped working and we had to wait for someone to come help us get back into our room, which was annoying but not the worse thing. Our rooms did have a little bit of a smell to them (as described by other reviewers) but really not bad and not a dealbreaker.

The location is perfect, all main attractions are in a walking distance. The area is safe. There is always somebody at the reception desk and a security guard near the entrance. The breakfast is amazing, a big choice of food, so you'll definitely find something you like. The room is good. Don't expect too much, because it's primarily a student residence, but the room is clean, the beds are comfortable, the bathroom is good with some basic toiletries. If you need an iron, you can ask at the reception for it. There was a room with a clean fridge and a microwave on our floor. Definitely worth the money.

The hairdryer wasn't working. The smell in the room was a bit strange. Cannot open the windows. Only two sockets in the room.

All facilities and amenities great considering what the residence is - it is a student dorm. Very well cared for, high security, absolutely wonderful staff at reception desk, cafeteria, cleaning services people - the top care and friendliness. Rooms basic, but comfortable and big. Reliance only on AC for fresh air difficult for a European visitor, but I understand the security measures. It was silent as well - no noise from neighboring rooms. A great space as a whole - a common area on the highest floor with fantastic view of the city.

a little lamp in the room not to have the white killing light above would add a bit of coziness

The best thing about this hotel is definitely the location! I walked everywhere the 3 days i stayed here. This is not normally a hotel, so the amenities you get with a hotel you will not get here. Could the bathroom have been cleaned better, yes. Could the bed have been more comfortable, yes. I did not complain because you are getting what you pay for. I was on the 21st floor with a great view of the city. Also, the breakfast was freaking delicious!!!!!!!!

The walls are super thin, so if someone is staying next to you, you will hear them.

Buffet breakfast was great and I really appreciated that it was available until 10:30 am as I came from BC and the 3 hour time difference was a big factor in when I wanted to eat.

I missed having a TV or radio in my room. It would have been nice to feel more connected with what was going on in the city. Also an armchair would have been nice so I could sit comfortably and read.

Comfortable, spacious room with nice bathroom. Awesome all you can eat breakfast, with everything you could want or expect! Great hot bar, loved the little rotation each day of slightly different fare, great fresh sliced fruits, drinks, yogurt, oatmeal, toasted items, etc. Loved it.

There were a couple times I went to my room and the key card had been deactivated for some reason, but the front desk staff were very helpful and fixed it right away each time.

They are the most affordable, safe , secure and cleanest option with amazing staff that are very Friendly, helpful on Evry aspect. Rooms are clean.. The location saves a lot of time to commute between the places , specially if coming from outside of Toronto , with this the needs becomes void, and it's is in heart of Downton with 1 approx KMS walk to prime location Eaton Centre , Toronto sign is just behind the Location, Old city , new city Hall are all walkable distance ... Breakfast is Amazing and tasty, with lots of options to Vegetarian.. Breakfast is is Buffet so adds no bound to Hunger from diff individuals and it saves 50-100 CAD for family of 3-4 on daily basis.. Parking is safe too , clean, and entry exit is having no barriers and can do it unlimited time if booked Weekly or daily for a single day entry -exit .. A Must recommended option for families...

House Keeping staff doesn't comes as it's a University Students Hostel, so have to maintain the room as clean as our home...

Great value for Toronto, notoriously expensive. 5 min max from famous Dundas Yonge square, subway and other public transport. Maybe 25 min walk from Lake Ontario waterfront. Good variety of food for breakfast ( including vegetarian options), safe underground parking ($21 per night ) connected by elevator to the lobby. Is it a four-star hôtel ? No. But if you look at price / location / breakfast included I don’t think you can beat the value.And the staff is really nice. It is not a youth hostel, guests are of all ages. I would stay there again and recommend it to others.

I wish there had been a stopper in the tub so I could soak instead of just showering. That’s the only thing !

The location was amazing. It is a 20-minute walk from the CN Tower and close to shops, restaurants, and other services. The breakfast was really good, and the staff were always helping us with questions and requirements. Highly recommended, particularly for families.

The smell in the room and the noise from the vents. The rooms always smelled. I assume this is due to the carpet and the lack of ventilation (no openable windows). The vents were always working even when we turned off the AC.
