The staff was terrific, and the loft was really nice - comfy bed, nice bathroom and kitchen, great shower, and spacious. The only negative I'd mention is that the guests upstairs had a toddler who ran back and forth constantly. It was very loud and very annoying. We told the front desk, who called them, but it didn't stop the following early morning when we were trying to sleep. We'd definitely stay again as we loved the location and the loft, but we'd probably ask for a higher floor so we don't encounter the noise again. That is the last thing we want at 7 am when we are on vacation!

The location was amazing! All the great restaurants and bars were a 2 minute walk. When visiting Old Montreal it's worth it to stay right in the action. Surprisingly, our room was so quiet. Our room was large and we loved having a king size bed, which was so comfortable. When we checked in the staff was very friendly and helpful. We felt very welcomed. If (or when) we come back we would definitely stay there again. Also loved the bar on the rooftop of the hotel.

Ok, we were warned about the stairs, but sometimes it was a pain. We were on the top floor which was 5 flights up. Other that that all good!

First we did not stay at the Lofts! The reception staff where you must checkin recognized that the Lofts property associated with Auberge du Vieux-Port was not appropriate for us. The Lofts property is supposedly excellent but there is no elevator and we were not able to use the stairs many times per day. They provided us with a room within the hotel. The facilities are outstanding and the staff might just be the friendliest, resourceful and accommodating we have ever encountered. Walk ability to the port is the best. When advertising the Lofts it must be noted it is without an elevator.

Auberge du Vieux-Port cannot be faulted

- The location was perfect on a quiet street at the heart of Old Montreal. - The loft was spacious with a nice kitchen and had all the amenities required for our 4 day stay.

- We were on the top floor and there must have been a large AC unit right on the roof above us. We felt the vibration when in bed but slept well with earplugs. - The building is located between two busy restaurants, so the hallways smelled like food. - Unfortunately the windows don’t open so we could not let fresh air into the room.

The staff were amazing, very helpful and friendly. The loft was immaculate and very stylish and comfortable. We could not have asked for a better location to see Old Montreal. Steps from restaurants, shops and the pier. Close to the Basillica and Bonsecours market. It had THE most amazing shower and loved that it had a Nespresso machine. We ate out, but you could prepare a meal in, the kitchen was well appointed. I will never stay anywhere else in Montreal!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

The location was spectacular as you are right off the pedestrianized Main Street with a great selection of shops and restaurants .Right in the old town and even though our apartment was above a restaurant, we didn’t hear a sound. The streets were pretty quiet too. The apartment was a couple flight of stairs but we knew that when we booked the apartment. The staff carried our luggage to the apartment, which was nice. The kitchen was stocked well with stove top, oven, fridge, microwave and dish washer. Not like other places where you find left over stuff in the cabinets but I wasn’t planning on doing any major cooking. The place was clean and very comfortable.

Location in Old Montreal in a good area for restaurants and walking. Staff at hotel very nice and had prosecco left in our room, when we mentioned it was our anniversary . They gave some good recommendations, i.e. Aura show at Notre Dame Basilica and Cafe Olimpico for coffee. Comfortable space.

Stairs were good exercise but a bit daunting with suitcases. Wifi was out for a day. Windows in loft a bit cloudy, hard to see through.

From the moment I stepped out of the car I was looked after. My bags were taken, the reception staff were informative and I was made to feel so welcome. The loft itself was gorgeous and everything I needed for my stay was there. Its position in the old port was brilliant! Across the road from the best coffee and right amongst everything.

The floors/ceilings perhaps need more insulation as I could hear the people upstairs moving around

This was absolutly amazing. A groupnof ladies went for our 50th birthdays for the wknd. First, we arrived late morning and checkin wasn't until 4. But they offered (and did) call us when it was ready so we could get started on sightseeing before getting into our place. The concierge Thomas was soooo helpful with dinner places and bars to go too. If youre looking for an experience, you have to go to the speakeasy The Coldroom..but get there early. It was amazing. Also Tittle Tattle was great...the owner and staff was fantastic. For dinner, Jacupo and Modavie was so great..all suggestions by Thomas. THANK YOU!!! Our valet Yves was so amazing as well. He lugged our luggage up to the 6th floor ( there are no elevators), so his help was greatly appreciated. AND, we received a surprise in our room from them..it was YUMMY!! Everyone we dealt with there was so accommodating and all too happy to help anyway they could. The apartment was very clean, beds were so comfortable and right in the heart of Old Montreal. Even though there was a lot of nightlife right there outside below from our window, we did not hear anything from all the partygoers when we were in the apartment. I highly recommend this place...promise you will not be disappointed. To the hotel staff, thank you so much for making our 50th such an amazing experience!! Tracy

Just that there wasn't an elevator, but again the valet helped woth baggage and it atmosphere of the building made up for it.

Great location. Beautiful historic building. Comfiest of beds. The hotel lobby is so nice to relax and have a glass of wine. Gaspar was amazing food (and we tried some Michelin star restaurants) and one of our top picks. Staff are great!

Bathroom could use a shelf or something to hold toiletries as our sink was a standalone and also very low. Also four Nespresso pods for two people for two days was pretty cheap given the cost of the room. Tv needs instructions.
