This auberge is all about the location which is fantastic. Our room was cool, quiet and comfortable. All room amenities met expectations. Staff were pleasant. Beds have a deep mattress topper. If you like a soft bed, you'll love it. If you like/ need a firm mattress, you may not be comfortable. *We booked and paid for a river view room but it's important to note that only rooms on or above the third floor actually have a view of the river. We were on the second floor and had a view of the street and the tops of the Cirque de Soleil tents and the Grand Roux. So if it's important to you, be sure to request a higher floor.

The rooftop lounge is very popular! It would be nice if there was a portion reserved for guests. Many hotel rooftops certainly aren't cheap, but it was clear there was no room for hotel guests to just come up and spend a few minutes with the view without dropping some serious cash. Also: The tap water never seemed to get cold, so be sure to put some bottled water in the room fridge if you want a truly cold drink during the night.

Property was beautiful and all the staff were so kind and helpful. Located right on the port you were a short walk from everything in old Montreal.

Properly was beautiful and clean for the most part but there were parts of our room (like the light fixtures) that looked like they hadn't been dusted in a while. And when you're spending so much money you'd expect the rooms to be perfect. Also an issue more with bookings.com but the property was advertised as parking included but it was $53 dollars a day and as we stayed 1 night (not even 24 hours) we were changed for 2 days of parking. However it was valet which was great as I'd hate to have to park in Montreal

Staff and concierge were extremely friendly. Best location to see old Montreal. Our room was beautiful and the lobby was exceptional for atmosphere. I was very impressed with the cleanliness and the little chocolates on the nightstands every night and complimentary waters as well. I was very impressed with this place it’s the perfect size and the historical style of the building has been kept and enhanced! Best little boutique hotel I’ve ever stayed in!

The only issue was the bright light from the thermostat wasn’t able to be turned off so we had to cover it with a toweL.

Rooms and the bathrooms were lovely, taking advantage of the historical bones of the warehouse building. The first floor lounge area was really comfortable, and drinks and appetizers could be had from the connected restaurants. Staff were friendly and helppful!

However, the walls are very thin and all the conversations from next door came through pretty clearly. If you have trouble with stairs, make sure to reserve a room in the main building; five or six steps are between the elevator and the second building, making navigation with a wheelchair, walker, or suitcases, a bit of a challenge.

Location was incredible, walkable and in a beautiful spot right across from the river.

Our room was the last one available and since the hotel location was so perfect, I booked it. My only complaint was that it overlooked St. Paul street with another building directly across from our window. The problem is that there were no sheer curtains to let light in…only black-out curtains. This means that you can have people looking in (potentially), or complete darkness. A second sheer curtain/blind like you see in other hotels, is really necessary. Otherwise all was really lovely and we’d definitely love to stay again.

The ambience of the hotel is very beautiful. All the polished wood, exposed stone, tasteful, sophisticated furnishings make it very special. That extended to my room with windows that opened to a beautiful view, a very comfortable bed with plenty of pillows and all the extras - bath robes, plush towels and an amazing shower with multiple heads for a spa-like experience. The staff is extremely courteous, attentive and accommodating. The location is perfectly situated to many things and yet, offers a rooftop bar and two other restaurants attached so, you don’t even have to worry about going anywhere else!

The hotel was actually located at the heart of Montreal's old port. It is in the middle of everything. The hotel restaurant was partly indoor and partly outdoors along the busiest path. Very good food and atmosphere. The hotel had a very old build feel and was restored with steel beams and additions. It was well done and it flowed with the old original wooden structure. It has atmosphere, including an old style elevator. I would give it a 10 for atmosphere.

The room only had a nespresso coffee maker. My wife doesn't drink coffee so a small water kettle with tea would have been good.

The hotel is in a very popular area of Old Port Montreal - many restaurants, shops and activity. The staff was very pleasant. Valet service was wonderful. We had a room on the top floor and it was very spacious with a king bed. Super comfy bed and the towels were very luxurious.

My only slight complaint was that we were on the top floor with our door/room next to the stairwell for the newly open terrace restaurant (which seemed to be very popular with non-hotel guests). Late at night you could hear women going up and down the metal stairs and people talking.

Fantastic location, convenient to many restaurants and attractions. Staff were very professional, as well as friendly and attentive. Restaurant Gaspar is conveniently located - accessible from the hotel, and was a cozy romantic spot with great food. Our room had river view, with old giant windows, perfect for enjoying the view and the sun, and maybe enjoying a coffee. (there is a nespresso machine in the room.) We loved our stay!

Tried ordering room service, but had trouble getting through.

Loved the room. It was big and comfortable. The bed and pillows were super comfortable. Location was very convenient and the valet parking was super helpful. Staff was all very friendly.

The only reasons I couldn’t give 10/10 for everything were (1) the view out our window was awful/none (there was another building ~10 feet away, so we could never open our curtains without looking directly into someone’s windows) and (2) the elevator was incredibly slow and bounced frighteningly whenever it stopped on a floor.
