The property is very centrally located and is the perfect base for exploring Downtown, Old Montreal and the Old Port. The room was very clean, quiet and spacious. The bed was comfy. The bathroom was really amazing - one of the best hotel bathrooms in my experience :) While the building I stayed in didn't have a reception, I could reach out to the staff via the app. They answered quickly to my questions and provided solutions. The app is pretty nicely made.

There were only a couple of things I think could be improved. The room didn't have a table or chair, and as I travelled for work it was a little inconvenient to only have the bed where to sit, especially in the case of online meetings. The internet connection was not secure enough to allow me to open links from work-related apps (like Outlook, e.g.) and at times I had to go out to be able to carry out some tasks. And there was a kettle with coffee and tea in the room, but no cups... Or at least, I didn't find them.

The room was very clean and the access was easy. We did not see anyone during our stay. There is an elevator in the back of a restaurant that can be used to avoid stairs, upon arrival we didn't realize this. We were very fortunate with our timing. The street is being worked on and was torn up but because the temperatures were in the 100's the work did not occur while we were there. This was important since I needed to do some writing in the room during the days. If it had been cooler and street work occurred I expect the room would have been noisy. The room came with earplugs, which had me nervous, but we did not need to use them. It would be great to hear about nearby parking before arrival, because of work on the street (for the next few weeks I suspect) it is difficult to drive right up to the location. Otherwise the room was great, comfortable and the temp was perfect during 100 degree days of June 22-25.

Those booking should now the room we stayed in on the 2nd floor was over a restaurant, but since we stayed Sunday-Tuesday the noise wasn't too bad, just some music beats in the early evening Sunday. Monday the restaurant was closed. The image gave me the impression the room was on the 4th floor. Ours was on the street level second floor. Because of fortunate timing noise was not a problem. The staircase to the second floor needs lighting. Also the beautiful tiled shower can be slippery.

The location in Old Montreal and price was exceptional. The bed was so comfortable and the instructions for getting in were easy.

The room was very clean, but there is no shower mat and the water from the shower keeps flooding the bathroom. The room was very basic (no kettle, microwave or extras).

Location was fantastic - super clean room. Never saw staff (no need to). Amazing shower. Comfy bed. heaps of storage (was not required, but drawers/cupboards were available). Check in was seamless with clear instructions on how to access the building/floor. Plenty of good places to get a bite of food, or drink nearby. This was the second time using Sonder apartments - so coming into this trip, it was a little bit of a risk for me not knowing what to expect, but it was a positive experience. This place in Montreal was great

There was a TV, but no channels available. TV was there for chromecast purposes (effectively worthless for an international traveller where streaming apps are geo-blocked. That was the only negative for me, but its not like I was sitting for long times in a apartment

Very good location and extremely clean inside.

Just a heads up, Sonder’s check-in process requires uploading a copy of your government ID (drivers license, passport etc.) onto their online platform and taking a selfie to verify your identity. If you are not comfortable with that I would suggest booking somewhere else! Shower floor was also quite slippery, no grip on the walls making it a little dangerous when the water is running.

Love the tasteful choices made throughout with the fixtures of the room itself, and the layout!

It was a bit annoying to have to enter the code three times to get to the room, but I don’t know how you’d change that. And of course parking was stressful, but there’s not much you can do about that either. The only thing you could change is maybe installing a door to the shower so that you don’t create a small lake in the bathroom every time you take a shower…the open concept is cool but the shower’s not big enough for it to work…water goes everywhere dog, that’s just some real talk for ya

Great location in Old Montreal, couple minutes walk to the subway station to get wherever we needed to go. Personally enjoyed that check in/room key was through their app, very simple and easy to use. Room was modern and clean.

Would have liked a microwave.

Location is a little difficult to get to if you're walking a large suitcase due to all the cobbled streets and damage to sidewalks, etc. from age. However it's definitely worth the effort. Sonder St Paul likes in the middle of Old Montreal, and up the quieter end from what I could tell. It was easy to walk out the door and find gorgeous old buildings and monuments. A short walk to several stations, to Notre Dame, to the port, to the artist's quarter. Surrounded by great food options, and maybe 10 minutes walk to the nearest IGA if you want to buy your own groceries. The room is large and clean, with several helpful items like earplugs and a white noise machine. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was also larger than most hotels, I felt a bit spoiled.

My one disappointment was that the room didn't have a mini-fridge or kettle. That would have made my stay perfect if I could easily make my own hot drinks, and keep leftovers and cold drinks cold. Be warned there is no early access unless already paid and pre-arranged in the Sonder app. You can enter the building 30-60 minutes early, but your actual room is locked until the exact minute of your check-in time. But you're surrounded by great cafes and restaurants if you need to kill some time with your luggage still in hand.
