room was great as well as the location. the breakfast was a great idea but most of it wasn't our cup of tea. Staff was very attentive and made us feel very comfortable. The location was steps from the basilica and very close to st. paul street which has all kinds of restaurants and shops to browse. their restaurant was fantastic. The best meal I've ever enjoyed.

One thing we really wanted to see them improve was the toilet paper and facial tissue. It was very rough to say the least but otherwise there just wasn't much to complain about.

Gorgeous old-world style hotel, really pretty nicely laid out rooms. Great staff, very friendly and helpful. The small but delicious homemade breakfast delivered each morning was really enjoyed. The hotel restaurant is a must-do for a fancy French dinner; exceptional.

The bathroom products inc. shampoo, soap, kleenex, TP could be upgraded a bit. They should be higher quality at this price point.

I love the Hotel Bonaparte. The warm welcome I received from Lucie and Isabelle during my stay there will never be forgotten. It takes special people to do your work, and you both are excellent ambassadors for the hotel. ♥️ The Bonaparte restaurant is a gem, the food is excellent and the staff are professional and welcoming. I will always remember your attentive service and kindness. Thank you.

The excellent location in the old part of Montreal was the main reason for booking. We had a very nice welcome with a glass of prosecco from the reception staff who were very friendly and helpful all the time. The room was comfortable with an individual atmosphere.

The breakfast that we were expecting was a big disappointment. We have stayed at this hotel before and enjoyed an included and excellent breakfast in their pleasant restaurant. Our daughter and granddaughter were also staying and we were looking forward to sharing this meal with them. Unfortunately the hotel does not open the restaurant for breakfast now and the substitute was a pre-packaged breakfast delivered to the room. It was sub-standard and very sparse. There was a croissant, sickly fruit juice and a leathery piece of cheese but no biscuits to put it on. It was also uncomfortable eating breakfast in a bedroom with no table or suitable chairs. so although every aspect of the hotel was excellent, this was a big disappointment.

Location is great, a short walk to the harbour and its activities. Near restaurants and shops and the metro. The restaurant food is delicious.

A lot was made of the breakfast basket in other reviews. We found them a bit hit and miss. Two tiny croissants and jam and butter with juice was a good start but then we had to go out for a real breakfast.

This was a great find , a lovely boutique hotel very close to Place D’Arms and some great restaurants especially the nearby Polish restaurant. The rooms are beautifully appointed and clean. Very little street noise.

Parking is a bit of an issue. The main car park being under the bank at the Place D’Arms 5 minutes away. Breakfast is left in trays outside the rooms and you have to eat it in the rooms. Why they do this when there is a lovely restaurant in the hotel, is a bit of a mystery!

We loved the handmade breakfast, delivered right to our door. The hotel -- and our beautiful room -- exuded Old World charm while never feeling short of modern conveniences.

Truly, there's nothing about the hotel we didn't like -- the neighborhood, our room, the lovely staff, all of it. Top to bottom, this hotel is a gem.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Bonaparte hotel. It is a small hotel with a very accommodating staff. The rooms are charming even equipped with a hidden ironing board…very cute. The morning breakfast, which is creatively delivered to your door, is good and filling. We also enjoyed a very good meal at its excellent restaurant. The hotel is well situated and quite close to many restaurants and the starting point for many of the walking tours. This is also the perfect hotel if you come to Montreal prior to a cruise. It is an easy five minute walk down hill to the cruise port.

There was nothing to dislike.

This is one of my favorite hotels ever! Exceptional service and attention to detail. The double Queen room was way more spacious than I expected and the bathroom was amazing. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They helped us with so many things. We loved the bar on sight - best Old Fashioned cocktail there. I highly recommend the restaurant - fabulous food and service. The location is perfect and the neighborhood is full of things to do but very safe and quiet. When we return to Montreal we will stay here again.
