Great location - safe, pretty and less than 5 minutes' walk to Victoria Square metro station, buses and some great eateries Very comfortable room - warm, aesthetically pleasing and well-equipped (the bathroom products were particulalry great!) Friendly and responsive staff

The pillows were a little too soft for me, and sank quite a bit through the night. In saying that, this may not be an issue for many - my neck issues mean I have very specific pillow needs :) It would have been nice to have tea, and some milk, in addition to the complimentary coffee

Hotel Gault's staff were great, helpful, and courteous (especially Brian and Noks). We came earlier than the usual check-in time, so my husband and I roamed the area, which is very close to Old Montreal attractions. The hotel has a luggage storage area, so we are not worried about our luggage while waiting for our room to be ready. When we came back, we were told that our room had been upgraded to a nicer one, which made our stay in this hotel much special. Pillows are so huggable. We had a very nice and relaxing sleep. Breakfast was really good. We had our breakfast delivered to the room as we wanted to relax and watch TV while having our meal. Cleanliness: The room is really clean, the towels are new, and the toiletries are good, but they need to pay more attention to maintaining and deep cleaning the toilet bowl and bathroom, as they are very close to getting a bad review.

The road is under construction, which I find hazardous while walking near the area. The room has a nice little balcony, and it could have been nice opening the door, especially the weather, but it's a bit noisy due to the ongoing construction. However, you will not hear any noise when the glass door is closed, so it did not disturb our quiet time.

Gorgeous hotel!! The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was our 25th anniversary and they left a sweet note and chocolate--so thoughtful. The room was a beautiful corner suite--highly recommend the splurge! They had a great wine selection at the hotel. It's walkable to many restaurants and shops. Valet parking made it easy to travel with a car.

There isn't anything I didn't like. The price was high but I chose the fancy room and wasn't looking for value--I was looking for a special experience for our anniversary and Hotel Gault delivered!

Location was perfect very convenient for our needs. Very clean rooms, bright and spacious. Bed and linen were clean and comfortable to ensure good rest and sleep. Pet friendly and lovely surprise box for our pup to play with which made our pup very happy. We were unsure how the shower situation will be since it didn't exactly have a partition / door and it is behind the bed but surprisingly it does have some privacy with a changing space and didn't bother us. The young lady at the front desk worked hard for us to get the dinner reservations at a very popular restaurant although it was at the last minute and didn't give up even if the second choice was secured. I must say that itself made my stay worthwhile and it is a clear indication of excellent service! Merci beaucoup!

Breakfast coffee and although the menu was great it wasnt served hot. It will be nice to have a phone charging outlet next to the bed.

The hotel's location in Old Montreal was perfect for us and made it easy to explore. Check-in was smooth and quick. We were pleased with the unexpected upgrade to a loft room with a terrace, which was roomy and comfortable. The staff we encountered were all friendly and helpful!

Given how much we liked the hotel itself, we really hoped the food would be equally good. To be fair, the breakfasts were okay but could have been better. For example, the avocado toast had no seasoning. The salad had hardly any dressing, and the extra dressing provided was basically just olive oil. We were fortunate to have breakfast included with our stay (thank you booking.com), but the prices seemed on the very high side for what was offered.

Location is very good as easy to get to old and new montreal. The staff were wonderful and the hotel is very clean. I love the decor in the room (modern and very nice).

I was not a fan of having the main bedroom and the bathroom being in one large space and would rather have a part wall separating the two. The toilet is in a separate room but if someone gets up in the night its hard to not hear them if they turn on the water at the sink or light to see. Also, it can be a bit noisy at night outside. The strange think is that booking on their website directly is generally always more expensive than booking on a third party site and their "specials" do not add any value than if I booked separately.

Hotel Gault is located in Old Montreal. Our premium corner room provided ample space and all necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Thanks to the large windows the room was flooded with natural light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The friendly and welcoming reception staff greeted us every time with a smile and made their best to ensure that we felt like at home. The a la carte breakfast offered a reasonable variety and good quality, ensuring a great start to our day.

The hotel’s location in Old Montreal has its drawbacks. While it was convenient to explore the nearby harbour and highlights of the old town on foot, venturing into other districts required lengthy walks. The immediate area surrounding the hotel was partly unattractive, with an empty (parking?) lot and large construction cite nearby. The city council tried to improve the ambiance by projecting an art cinema on the walls of a desolated warehouse in the evening, but that didn’t help much (partly because the movie that they bimmed was rather depressive). Hotel Gault has a pet-friendly policy. While it is great for the pet owners, those with allergies or sensitivity to animals should take this into account when booking the place.

The staff worked very hard to make our stay memorable. The hotel is in a great location, close to all the sights and a short walk to Victoria Square (subway station). The breakfast was excellent! Because the hotel is on the smaller side, you can easily stop by your room during the day to drop off your coat or take a nap.

We liked the layout and the size of the room. It was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Location was great. The hotel gave a complimentary breakfast to our family members stayed in another room .

Check in was a bit confusing as we were told the room was not ready at 4 PM. Then they solved the issue. There was no cheese in the breakfast in the last day.

Classy hotel, large studio with modern bathroom and tub. Quiet area, on the historic gaslight lamp street, great walking distance to most locations. Lobby, table service, and bar with fireplace and sitting area are chill and comfy. Five Guys is down the street and are super fast, tasty diner style grub. Breakfast is amazing, if it is included in your booking.

The stairs at entry are steep, if you have large luggage. Staff are friendly and helped with bags of course. I recommend popping into reception to ask for help first!
