Beautiful grounds including a pool and creek with monkeys in the trees. Birds and flowers everywhere! Breakfast was good too. It was right across the street from a restaurant, which was really helpful when I arrived exhausted and hungry. But the rest of town was a short drive away.

The white fluorescent lights in the room were really strong and there weren't any softer options. There were large tour groups staying here sometimes making noise leaving really early in the morning. These were very minor points to deal with though!

We stayed in the new block of rooms and felt as if we won the jackpot. Really nice spacious room with en-suite and a balcony looking out to the Arenal Volcano. Super clean and comes with air-con. For the price you pay it was well worth it just for the quality of the room. Across the road is Mary's BBQ which is a good place to eat if you don't fancy the walk into La Fortuna town.

Breakfast was very limited and the staff sometimes weren't present but were nice when they did interact with those staying at the hotel. It is a fair walk into La Fortuna town and the road has no sidewalk/pavement so at night does feel slightly dangerous however the area feels safe.

The breakfast was great. Rice and beans, plantains, scrambled eggs and some empanadas. Giant water cooler to refill bottles which was very appreciated. We were allowed to hang out by the pool after check out which was great. The rooms also were fabulous with a separate shower, sink in the actual room and toilet around the corner.

The shower room let in a lot of light. We had to block it with pillows so we could sleep. Otherwise no complaints.

Frank (concierge/manager) was the MVP of our stay here. Frank was a HUGE help getting us a reservation at a top local restaurant and also assisted us with a last minute reservation for a local whitewater rafting with a local guide. The hotel is in a great location, perfect view of Arenal Volcano, nice breakfast buffet. Thank you!

Super friendly staff, Big comfy bed & spacious room, great breakfast (included), pool, lots of green & natural surroundings.

Hotel is located further out and there is only 1 restaurant around, so you do need a car. During the 1st half a year of 2024 they are fixing the bridge from downtown La Fortuna to where the hotel is located, so you must drive longer. Totally doable with a car, but not on foot.

Laura, the property manager, was very nice and helpful. The recommendations she provided around town were great. The value for what we paid is definitely worth it. The location is also a plus with downtown being a less than 5 min drive and a nice bbq spot across the street.

The location was just right for us. Close enough to downtown La Fortuna, the sights but still away from the crowd. The staff is friendly, accommodating and incredibly sweet. My kids and even us adults loved that we had stockings filled with local candies that were hung on our doors Christmas morning. Lovely touch. Definitely able to see a lot of bird activity. Walking distance to one of the sloth trails as well and we spotted quite a few! Morning breakfast was very tasty and the spread was nice.

Our room while clean and comfortable didn’t have any kind of closet to hang our clothes. Not a big deal breaker (for us) but it is worth mentioning.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious and varied breakfast buffet. Clean, relaxing pool. Modern and well-equipped facilities. Great (external) restaurant conveniently located across the street. Efficient laundry service.

The location and property was beautiful and the employees were excellent. We received a warm welcome and they accommodated our needs. The sounds of the river and the birds was also very relaxing.

There was nothing we didn’t like.

The bed is very uncomfortable and noisy since it has like a plastic surrounding on the mattress. There were bugs in the room. Very noisy. You can hear even the tv from the neighbour’s room.
