We love our room in the historic building facing the clock.

There was no hot water. Very disappointed, we had to take cold showers two nights in a roll. You would think for a 4 stars hotel, they would have a Kleenex box and a complementary bottle water.

This property is in an excellent location right across the street from the astronomical clock. We could see it out of our window. You are right in the square with tons or restaurants right there. The breakfast was very good as was the coffee machine.

The first building they put us in had no elevator so if you have problems with stairs ask for the main building with the elevator. There were 37 stairs to get to our room. We had to move as my wife had sprained her ankle just previously. Because it is in the square it is very busy and noisy in front facing rooms. Not sure about the back ones. Transportation stop is on the other side of the square if you have mobility problems. For buses or taxi or Uber.

Location is outstanding with a view of the Astronomical clock. Breakfast is also excellent with a view and the dining facility is clean. Staff were friendly.

We paid for a premium price to get the best view and convenience because we have a lot of luggage, We were given the adjacent building which doesn't have an elevator, the view is still excellent but it could have been better if we were in the main building.

Location

Restaurant staff often inattentive. Grumpy when we refused payment. Credit card terminals not working or unavailable without communicating that before we sat down at the restaurant. During breakfast, staff having discussions about personal dramas around guests. Take that to the back room or somewhere else, please.

Excellent location. Breakfast was very good.

We booked 2 rooms. One of the rooms was located towards a small backside street. It was very noisy in the night with drunk people screaming and yelling. Also, there was constant noise from restaurants moving garbage bins. I would suggest hotel look and insulating the windows along that side of the street.

Stayed in the apartment at an annex building. Really good location and and good sized apartment for a longer stay. Quiet around the clock, no bother from the street outside.

“Air conditioning” thingy was really really loud. Requires keeping the windows open part of the day to get some air changed in the apartment. Breakfast was pretty meh..

Beautiful hotel in an amazing location. All the staff we spoke to were incredibly friendly and helpful. The hotel is full of very pretty ornaments and details which add to the charm and luxurious feel of the hotel. The bedroom was very clean, with an incredibly comfortable (and huge!) bed and the bathroom had a good supply of products available. Breakfast in Cafe Motzart provided a lovely start to the day. There was a plentiful buffet with a wide range to suit all tastes, and the views of the astronomical clock tower is stunning! The location in the town square is a perfect base for exploring the city either on foot or by the multiple transport options.

Our room was at the rear of the hotel so overlooked an alleyway, which wasn't really an issue except for the noise at night. We fully expected there to be noise from people, but weren't expecting the volume of noise created by businesses emptying bins, bottles, tables etc until around 2am - we even checked a couple of times that there hadn't been an accident as the noise was so loud. All that said though, we were in a busy town centre so this has to be expected?! The only other minor issue is the plumbing system which is clearly very dated. The toilet would burble while the shower was being used and water would back up into the bath overnight - we actually closed the plug as we weren't sure if this was waste water coming up.

It is located directly opposite of the astronomical clock in the center of the old town.

Because of the location the area is over crowded with tourists and till late at night it is still loud also with the sound of the clock on the hour. The location is in a pedestrian only area. This should have been highlighted in the description. To get to the hotel you have drag your luggage for 250 meters across cobbled sidewalks! Also when we checked in we were given a room in the annex building, not in the main hotel. It doesn’t have a lift and to be honest the rooms were quite spooky. We had to complain to be moved to the main hotel building! The room doesn’t have an electric kettle!

The location was perfect right across from the clock, and provided easy access to all the places to visit. It is about a 20 minute easy walk from the mainline station. Although an older hotel it is very well maintained. The bedroom was in the older style with wooden furniture and floors, but the bathroom was very modern. Plenty of cupboard and wardrobe space, plus a safe and a fridge in the room. The breakfast was served in a lovely room with a variety of beautiful old clocks. It was a very pleasant experience and the breakfast provided was excellent. The use of the key card to gain access to the lift gave extra security to the hotel. Loads of places to eat nearby.

We only had a couple of reservations about the comfort of the room. One was that as we were on a higher floor, my husband found the air conditioning a little noisy. The bed was very comfortable, but the mattress was inset into a large wooden base, about 12cm around, which made getting out of it rather difficult. (Possible because we are older). We would have liked the benefit of tea making facilities.

There are so many good things about staying at this hotel that it's hard to mention them all. I booked a room with a view of the clock tower to fully enjoy the atmosphere of Prague on our first visit. The initial room we were given had a view of the clock tower, but there was no lift as described on booking.com, so it was difficult for my wife, who has trouble with her leg, to go up and down. So we requested a room change, and they kindly upgraded us to a room with a better view of the clock tower and a lift. All the hotel staff are always smiling and respond kindly. The breakfast menu is not diverse, but the quality of all the food is excellent.

There were no major cons. If I had to mention one, you'd have to walk to the hotel with a heavy carrier because the car couldn't get to the front of the hotel, but it's less than 100 meters away.
