The hotel is located in a narrow alleyway - don't be put off by the graffiti walls. The hotel entrance is between two restaurants so quite hidden. Literally a maximum 2 minute walk from the main square/astronomical clock. Breakfast is in the basement -plenty of tables and a good choice of food - cheese/meats/eggs/bread/fruit/yoghurts/cereal/ pastries/breads plus juices and hot drinks. There is a lift if you can't manage the stairs. Bathroom was clean, with free toiletries. Shower was hot. When you exit the hotel lobby, turn right and next door you will find a fantastic restaurant called Restaurace Mlejnice serving traditional Czech food. It's very popular and you may have to queue outside to wait for a table. We ate there twice - 2 beers, 1 cider and 2 main meat dishes cost approx £35.00.

Room 17a where we stayed overlooks the alleyway, so there is noise from the bars and restaurants if you have the windows open. No aircon so room may feel warm but you could probably request a fan.

Fabulous location. Good value for money. Nice big room, cleaned every day.

Hotel is right in the centre of the old town and less than 5 minutes walk from the main square. Lots of bars and restaurants within 2 minutes walk from the hotel. Reception staff very friendly, efficient and helpful. Room was very spacious with great air conditioning. Bed was very comfortable. Great shower and spacious bathroom.

Breakfast did not start until 8.00am so I had to leave before then so missed out completely. The hotel is in a central area but in a narrow side land. This street is not particularly well lit at night so possibly not best suited for anyone on their own. There is grafitti on the walls in the lane. There is a busy pub in the lane which spills out onto the street. I did not feel threatened or vulnerable but some people could. Guests from the hotel have discount at the neighbouring restaurant. I was too late as I had already dined immediately before checking into the hotel

Location was excellent – right in the heart of the Old Town, just a few steps from the Astronomical Clock and close to many restaurants and shops, yet surprisingly quiet at night. Breakfast was varied and generous, with both hot and cold options available. We particularly enjoyed the fresh pastries and fruit.

Room was very clean and well maintained. While it wasn’t particularly bright, it was quiet and had everything we needed. The beds could have been a bit more comfortable, but overall the room served its purpose well.

The staff was very helpful, the hotel is in the very city center, which has its pluses and minuses, the room was sufficient and clean, which is very important. The beds were quite comfortable, the pillows were good. The breakfast had many options to choose from, warm and cold options, veggies and fruit, cereal, coffee, tea, etc. There was a closet in the room, a fan, a hairdryer and toiletries. The terrace is nice and the view is stunning.

I find the quality of the accommodation and the facilities not a great value for money, especially in a city like Prague. There was no aircon, but there was a fan. For us it was sufficient, but I do think it is overpriced for what it is. I personally did not like that the breakfast is only open for two hours 8-10 and they start cleaning up already before 10.

Great experience. Perfect location in the middle of old town. Walkable everywhere and easy to get public transit to/from airport. Super kind staff (they upgraded my room) and great breakfast choices in the morning. Nice that the restaurant next door gives 10% off for guests. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Noisy streets but windows totally block out the sound when closed

The hotel is small and charming, and the staff were quite nice. Our room was a very good size and clean, with good facilities. Some reviewers have complained about the late-night noise from tourists in the street, but our room wasn't on the street side and it was quiet and noise-free. The breakfast was good too, and we specially liked the (local?) pastry. The main selling point for the Hotel Dar is its location. Fantastic place in the middle of old Prague, surrounded by bars, restaurants, churches, at least a couple of museums, and many tourist attractions (not to mention souvenir shops, which may or may not be your thing.) Keep in mind though that you cannot take a taxi directly to or from the hotel; you will have to walk about 200 meters (at least we did.)

The bed in our room was a little uncomfortable. It was an older-style bed, and maybe it couldn't have a modern mattress at all, but whatever the reason, the mattress was rather hard. It wasn't the worst bed I've slept on, but it wasn't the best either.

First front desk was very kind and friendly, They answered every question, The room was enough big and clean, the breakfast was perfect, everything was fresh and delicious, The location is perfect, just behind the astromic clock, no noise after 22:00, and very close to subway "Mustek" stop, Last day we need to leave early in the morning, and they prepare a nice breakfast for us, Good otel, thanks for all

Comfortable bed. Proximity to the Old Town Square and other city attractions. Also near good shops. The restaurant was an advantage during bad weather and the food was above average! Despite the first impression about the street it's on, I felt perfectly safe.

The inconvenience when getting a taxi or rideshare. I like European hotels (non-international chains) but it's not for everyone. The building is old style with dimly lit.public areas and portions of the guest room. And it's in a narrow pedestrian street which may not seem to be the perfect curb appeal to picky foreign travelers.

Hotel was very cozy Stayed there for 2 nights Good for price Amazing location in center of old town Less than one minute walk from astronomical clock Breakfast was good , included a variety of food , starts at 8 am so we had a chance to experience it only once as next day we left Hotel at 7 to catch our bus so we had to skip it , I would recommend breakfast to be served earlier My only issue was the safe was not working , we had to leave our passports at front desk and carry our cash around with us
