The location is fantastic, on the upper side of the Wenceslas square just next to the metro (now there are works but the access to the metro is ok). The room was clean and spacious with the whole National Museum right outside my window. The breakfast was nice (a good selection of sweet pastries and the scrambled eggs tasted well too) and i liked the smell of the shampoo (bonus points for the conditioner, most hotels just have shampoo). Addtional bonus points for the electric kettle and for a liquid creamer (most hotels have powder creamer which i despise). The reception team was friendly and welcoming (i didnt need tourist advice so i cant judge on that, since I was on a work trip and also was born in Prague and know my way around).

The armchair in my room was kind tired but still comfy, the entrance to the hotel is kinda "where am i" because one needs to ring the reception for the doors to open (or have a hotel card). What i didnt like is the "old ladies'" parfume around the stair case. It was too strong

The location was great. The National Museum is right across from the hotel, the metro station (if needed) is beside the hotel and the bus station is a short walk from the hotel for airport transfers. The rooms were spacious and clean and tidy. The hotel itself was very quiet and although we had a city view we didn’t hear any road noise below.

The hotel bar wasn’t open any evening/night we were there (Sunday-Wednesday) which was disappointing. The temperature in the room was too warm and quite uncomfortable to sleep in. The fan didn’t seem to be working as it didn’t cool the room at all. We had mentioned it at the front desk however the temperature of the room stayed the same for the duration of our visit.

Fourth time in this hotel and always a pleasure. Great location next to metro and Wenceslas square, great view on National Museum. Staff friendly (HSK staff very thoughtful) and rooms are great!! Oh and particular detail, but when you enter the hotel, you always smell the scent like a nice perfume, feels welcoming!

I only miss a hotel bar if you like to have a drink during the day

The property is in an extremely strategic location. Above a metro station, 10 minutes' walk from Prague's main station. 15 minutes' walk from the historic center and in front of the National Museum. The staff is very friendly and helped us save a lot of money on the return taxi (they took care of everything), which cost around €30. The cleaning service is extremely efficient; leaving the room at 9:00 and returning at 14:00 for a short rest, we always found everything ready. Just around the corner, you're on one of Prague's most important streets with, I believe, more than 100 places to eat or buy anything you need. The hotel, in general, has a beautiful lobby and corridors, and the room is also nice. The bed is very soft, as are the pillows. The room is equipped with a minibar, a kettle for instant coffee and tea. The shower is very nice. The desk is spacious, and there is also a large wardrobe with a built-in mini-safe. Overall, I am very satisfied.

Some tiles on the bathroom floor were loose, which wasn't a problem for me, but I know it might bother some more particular guests. The hairdryer isn't very efficient; it takes a bit of time to dry hair. Actually, there isn't much that I didn't like.

I love absolutely everything. A hidden gem in heart of city. I arrived and was very tired ,got check in at 11 am. The ladies Sofiia and Bea are absolutely sweet hearts - the best customers service again. And also Naded and everyone was fantastic.The hotel is spotless clean ,guite,minibar in room,air conditioning. It was pleasant to stay ,because people who work there you feel so good and homey. Thank you Guys for everything

We enjoyed the friendly staff, the comfort, and the excellent location of the hotel the most.

The first disappointment we encountered was that our view was of nothing, specifically two intersecting buildings, while the photos showed either a view of the National Museum or the street. We didn’t even think there was a third option. Since it was extremely hot in the evening, we opened the window, but there was a lot of noise from the air conditioning units.

We looked at so many Prague hotels and are so happy we settled with the Occidental. It’s a fabulous hotel in a great location. We were given an upgrade and had a wonderfully spacious, extremely clean room overlooking the museum. Despite the busy road beneath us we heard nothing except the odd siren. I’ve never stayed in a hotel with such good soundproofing! No sound from any rooms either. And not forgetting the great buffet breakfast! A lovely dining area, never too busy and always delicious and kept well stocked. Last but not least all the staff are very friendly, helpful and obliging. Could not ask for more in a hotel. We loved Prague, in part thanks to this hotel! Thank you!

The view of the National Museum from the room was worth the cost of the room alone. Also, the room was extremely quiet even though it is on a street with a lot of traffic and was in a busy part of town. The staff were wonderful and helpful and the daily breakfast was a great and affordable way to start off the day. The hotel is within walking distance of most of the major sites and the metro is right outside the entrance. The train station is about a 5 minute walk.

The only minor glitch was the television set which did not turn on properly. We always had to reset it (I think it was an internet issue).

Probably the best city hotel I have been on and I travel to various cities alot. Good location to the city center, but hardly any noice from the outside traffic. Staff was awesome, good variety of the breakfast buffe. Close to a conveiniant store if you want snacks or stuff the hotel didnt have.

Hmmm, well it was quite hot during my stay there so a pool would be nice. Bed blankets were a little too thick for me but those are minor complaints that doesnt really matter.

The room was large (Suite) and clean with a nice balcony with a view of the lively street (which can be quite crowded on a weekend). The breakfast area was also quite nice with a good selection in the buffet. The check-in process went smoothly and we felt welcomed.

As a lot of people mentioned in the reviews - there is no parking available in the hotel, so either use the valet parking service from the hotel or find parking nearby as I did (there are quite a few nearby with online booking).
