Good location, overall good hotel with a modern look and clean, practical rooms.

I still can't realise how a receptionist of a hotel in an European capital, even more located in one of the most touristic areas, is not able to speak proper English.. I wanted to pay for my stay by cash, but the receptionist insisted I needed to pay by card because of some kind of guarantee they needed.. I insisted I wanted to pay for my stay by cash, then I could give them the card for the guarantee, but it was impossible to communicate.. I just ended up paying by card because we were tired and wanted to go to the room..

The staff was very friendly, even when I was too early for check in, they attended my needs pretty quickly and neatly. The room was very spacious and clean. I even accidentally had room service clean the room and they were very discreet and didn’t move anything that wasn’t supposed to be moved. The breakfast buffet was great! There were a lot of options to choose between and you’d definitely find something that could suite your taste.

I think the only thing that I wasn’t the biggest fan of was the price for breakfast. I only ate breakfast once there and I felt like I payed for three times but only payed for one time. Nevertheless the buffet was quite large so maybe there’s some justice behind the pricing?

We chose the location based on ease of getting to/from airport and the direct bus to the city centre just outside the hotel entrance. An iconic part of the Berlin Wall and lots of restaurants surrounding the Uber arena music venue are just at your doorstep too. Clean hotel throughout. Checking in and out was a smooth process.

Mattress wasn’t as firm as I’d like. Receptionist at booking was very friendly, but unable to offer any suggestions when we asked for something to do the evening we arrived other than hop on/hop off bus or taking 300 bus into the city. Not a major issue at all, but it could’ve been a nice touch to an otherwise great stay.

Well located, super comfortable, quiet, gorgeous rooftop, lovely staff!

I left the room both days forgetting to put the “make up room” light on. I attempted to call the hotel to ask for them to clean it, but no one ever answered. Multiple calls over multiple days. I had the main reservation line even call and no one picked up. So my linen etc. was never refreshed. My mistake, but still it would have been nice to call and fix it. Other than that, a great stay. I’ll be back!

The location at the East Gallery was unique and our room had a view of the East Gallery and the river. Lots of holiday touches made our Christmas there special. We were between two train stations which made coordinating with local family very convenient. The resturant staff was friendly and I especially liked the chestnut soup. Breakfast was wonderful and the big windows were perfect for people watching. The handicap accessibility was thoughtful touch. We did notice throughout our trip that many places were not.

The location was great, close to a lot of restaurants, stores, and transport. The bar on the rooftop was amazing, had great views of Berlin and super creative cocktails, easy to access as well. The shower in the room was incredible, and the whole bathroom was very nicely done.

Unfortunately the WiFi did not reach our room which made communication quite difficult and our television was also struggling to connect. The main exit of the hotel is quite busy, but that's to be expected along the gallery, this also meant there was some noise that came through the window, but was very minor.

I stayed in Indigo Brussels before which I loved so I was looking forward to this one in Berlin. All in all, it’s a beautiful hotel, quirky and well located. Cute interior design and comfortable beds. Also loved the rooftop bar and highly recommend a visit. As a Berliner who lives abroad, I can tell you that this hotel is in a superb location, easy to find and navigate from. You can get the S-Bahn to Ostbahnhof and then walk a very easy 10 minutes (also nice as you walk along the Berlin Wall). You could also wait for the bus but why bother, it will take you longer. The same train gets you to and from the airport, you also can get the RE. Same train station gets you trains to anywhere you wanna go. Save your coins and don’t take a taxi. Shops are all within very short walking distance, you have two supermarkets within the train station (Rewe is 24h open). There’s a small bakery if you wanna grab some breakfast rolls or cake - 2 min from the hotel. Staff are super friendly and helpful, you can also ask.

There isn’t really any faults. Only small suggestions. I got the wrong room at first but they fixed it within minutes. Room has Tea/ Coffee making facilities but could do with more water to fill up the kettle. One bottle was provided and unlike Indigo Brussels, I wasn’t advised and therefore didn’t know where to refill the bottle. Also, there is a cooler in the room but it’s not a fridge. I call it cooler because you can’t refrigerate anything, it just keeps your food/ drinks moderately cool. Lastly, pillows are on the soft side, could do with more firmness. These are only small suggestions though.

The accommodation was lovely and the staff made the experience very enjoyable. The hotel is very central to the inner east of Berlin, almost on top of the East Side Gallery. I’d recommend paying the extra for the east side gallery-facing rooms, and for the breakfast, which had a great selection. Will be recommending this property for those looking for comfort and class in the middle of the culture of Friedrichshain.

The gym facilities were limited

Staff here are extremely friendly, that's from housekeeping, breakfast team to reception, all wonderfully helpful and welcoming. The room was more than adequate, warm, clean, bed very comfortable, large shower. Breakfast was a treat, lots of cold items but also warm and pastries, really couldn't fault, seemed to have thought of everything! Would not hesitate to recommend or return. Whilst the location is convenient for the tram (M10 service), S & U Bahn trains, the hotel itself has little in the immediate vicinity, yes there are some 'chain' type eateries as the hotel is directly on the arena square, but little else going on. Around a 10 min walk to transport and main street offering more choice and atmosphere.

Can't say there was anything.

Interior design was cozy. One time complimentary mini bar is always good to have. Hotel is small enough, hence quiet. Location was super convenient - next to the East Side Gallery, Uber arena, Watergate / Berghain night clubs, bus and train stations. Our room was bigger than usual with the river view.

Minor but the water tap required maintenance in our room; also variety of weights and machines in the gym could be improved.
