Brilliant location within walking distance of 2 U Bahn stations, Wittenbergplatz and Nollendorf, 5 minutes walk both of them. Lots of cafes, bars, restaurants nearby, including the world famous KaDeWe. Easy walk to the Zoo, or 1 stop on the U2 line.Go the other way on the U-Bahn line and you're in Potsdamer Platz in 8 minutes, and Alexanderplatz in around 18 minutes tops. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and quiet. Great little bar there with lovely, friendly staff, as were the Reception staff. We had a suite on the 12th floor and the view from there was stunning, especially at night. We didn't book breakfast so can't comment on that, but we sourced breakfast locally in the coffee shops and restaurants. When I visit Berlin again, which I will, I shall stay here.

Excellent access ariving by car, with a multi-storey garage with ample parking. The room itself was ideal, in that it had a combination of tiles and wooden floors, a hugh bed and wow views of the city. Breakfast was remarkable, both from the extensive offering and I would say value for money. Nearby are some wonderful eclectic neighboughoods, such as the Winterfeldtplatz, off the main tourist locale, but in my opinion better value, and a truly great vibe.

My room was arctic cold, the controls had zero effect, and the duvets were summer weight. But the big negative is the ongoing building work, I was offered a first room with scaffolding outside of my 12th floor window, but was then changed to a room, without a view of the building work. For people arriving by car don't forget to get a Umweltplakette Deutschland - an environmental badge that denotes the emissions of your car. Without this pass you can get a 100 euro fine and sent out of the city centre. We picked ours up at a TUV (basically the German MOT station) at a small town Rheine en-route, 6 euros, and you do need your V5C logbook..

We were on Euro 2024 game and slept for 3 nights in RIU Plaza. Hotel was at perfect location. Near is little square wirh Uban station, and best kebeb in town 🤣. From there you can reach all town. If you want to walk there is great brewery BRLo and ist arround 20 -25 min away. We walked all to Alexander platz and its aprox 1 hour. Back to hotel, its rally good, rooms are big (35m2) and its for 3 adalut people more than enough. We didnt eat brekfast in hotel so i cant tell nothing abouth it. The price of hotel was little bit expencier (240 eur/nigt per room) but realy fair if you look other hotels in town in that moment. I believe that is because of Euro 2024. All ii one, we had great experience in Berlin..

Better pillows.

Breakfast was very good. The room was spacious and the bathroom as well. Room equipped with shower gel, shampoo, fridge and kettle. We stayed in a high floor so the room was very quiet, which was a bonus. Staff at breakfast were all really nice.

We wished we could open the windows, as the room got very stuffy. Unfortunately the windows in the room do not open (don't know if it's the same for every room). Also, the hotel doesn't offer water. They leave a bottle in the room for the first night of your stay, however it was sparkling water which we don't like, and when I asked to change the water, the front desk said they only have sparkling water for the rooms. Ended up buying still water in the lobby. Not very good.

The views for our room was great , nice beds, the fridge was great also the shower.

Convenient location, close to all transport lines: metro, buses, trams. There is a place for a car. Great view from the window. Perfectly working air conditioning system. Comfortable large bed.

Maybe the price is a bit too high for such a room. The corner of the mirror is cracked and glued with adhesive tape, paint is peeling off the ceiling in the shower. The shower is transparent. If you come with a child, this option is not very acceptable. If you want to sit down, there is only one chair and an armchair, there is no room for a third. The refrigerator barely works.

The room was big, clean and furnished to our taste, that is in modern style; the staff were friendly, breakfast was on the level.

Our room had hardly any view to the surroundings throught the windows; it was on the third floor, overlooking the roof of the lower premises of the hotel, surrounded by a full fence. The windows couldn't open, there was only central ventilation. There was some strange, unpleasant noise in the room when the wind was blowing outside - it was discovered by the staff that it was the bad sealing of the door and quickly mended.

Despite the central location it is very quiet. The hotel is situated in a very convenient location to use public transport.

Tea bags and coffee sachets were not refilled. We stayed 6 nights, but we got only two tea bags and 2 coffee sachets for the whole stay.

Check-in, smoorth, efficient and reasonably quick. We were a group of 27! Rooms spacious (I had a superior room), beds comfortable, bathroom excellent but could do with shower mats, as the shower floor is VERY slippery. Breakfast...as good as it gets, really. Location - just 200m from KaDeWe and 150m from Underground. Close to bus routes, too.

Slippery xhower floor. Bar is a bit "industrial". There's a huge foyer, with plenty of seating and then the bar is stuck in a bit of space that appears to be extra to requirements! Open the bar up, move it into the foyer! Wish there was sauna attached to the gym. Most 65+ don't do gyms but, during the winter, a saune would be wonderful. Minor issues but had to mention them.

The deluxe room we stayed in was a lovely size, well decorated, and the ensuite bathroom was a fair size and well stocked with towels and pillows. The room has a small safe, ideal for keeping your important personal possessions while you are out for the day. There is a kettle and cups in the room, along with tea, coffee, and sugar. There is also a bottle of complimentary sparkling water available for guests. The hotel is in an excellent location, only a few blocks away from the popular KaDeWe and the rest of the Ku'damm shopping precinct. The hotel is located a short walk away from the U-Bahn station Wittenbergplatz, which will make accessing the rest of Berlin fairly simple during your stay at the Riu Plaza Berlin. The hotel also offers parking to its guests, for those guests arriving by car. We enjoyed a drink in the bar on the ground floor, which has an interesting drinks menu. We chose not to have breakfast at the hotel, but there is a restaurant at the hotel for those guests who opt for their breakfast service.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with the tea and coffee offerings in the room itself. This morning, I went to make a cup of tea and discovered that one of the coffee creamer pods was pierced, so I could only use the other pod available. Unfortunately, this pod appears to have been off, as it curdled when added to the hot tea already in the cup. The room had a fridge, which was turned off. Personally, I don't understand why milk for the tea can't be kept in the fridge (coffee creamer is not an ideal accompaniment for tea, in my personal opinion). Just something to consider if you're planning a longer stay and you enjoy drinking tea in the English way.
