The hotel was centrally located to rail transport hub as well as downtown service facilities. Although in a busy area, our room was quiet and well appointed. Very impressed by the breakfast. We had a-la-carte but a full continental was available. The dining room staff were exceptional.

Our room was not ready at check-in so an alternative room had to be found.

Great location... Close to arenas, distillery district, harbour, downtown, Union station, meridian hall, restaurants. Clean, comfortable beds, kind staff especially the man who checked us in super late after a long delayed flight. Also had brunch in the hotel restaurant... Food was amazing and the service was excellent. I honestly have nothing bad to say. I got a great deal on the room so I was amazed at the location, quality, and esthetics.

If you want to do a certain type of shopping (like in Yorkdale) or go to the museums, it's a far walk but once I learned to take the subway it was quick and easy. Rooms were a bit dark, and the restaurant across the way was also a club on the weekends so it got loud.

We were on a business trip, and needed lots of rest and quiet, and Novotel did not disappoint. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was very well designed and functional, especially the rain shower and combination handheld shower attachment were definitely very therapeutic. The lighting is pretty good for a hotel, with dim lighting as well as fairly bright lighting for reading. The view was to the adjacent building, but at least it was a quiet area, and we felt enough privacy with the curtains there. The staff were very good, whenever we needed something they were helpful.

The hot tub was out of service, which was very disappointing as we had looked forward to that feature. Oddly the front desk staff mentioned the hot tub location as though it was fully functional.

It is such a perfect spot for what we were looking for! With our 2 boys (teen and preteen) for a couple days, we could walk everywhere and lots of great restaurants around us too! The room was really nice and quaint, just wish there was a couch or something. The beds were nice and big, but 1 chair so you had to sit on your bed anytime we were in there. No BIG deal, just for more space apart. Breakfast was excellent and the service was great as well! Nice hot tub, clean pool with lots of towels and water stocked for the guests.

Nothing, it had everything we needed , just small rooms but fine for a couple days.

The Novotel is a great hotel- 9 mins walk from Union Station and walking distance to the harbour and railway museum . There are various restaurants and pubs across the road and a small grocery store next door. You can take the subway directly to the Eaton centre downtown. The rooms are fantastic , very spacious and comfortable and the breakfast buffet is good value.

The breakfast options didn’t change over our 3 day stay. Need to provide more milk powder in the rooms - 2 sachets are not enough - especially when you need both to have a decent coffee

Fantastic location near St. Lawrence Market and near the arena. Walking distance to Eaton Centre. Right near the train station. Many restaurants and coffee houses close by. Moderately quiet. Parking on site and not terrible on surrounding streets. Room was large and well designed. Shower was great. Pool was lovely. Gym looked nice - next time! On-site restaurant was okay - staff were lovely, food was nice.

Not just this hotel, but the prevalence of blaring music all day long was annoying. This was in both the lobby and the restaurant. My room was just above the restaurant, so I heard it during the day, but I was gone for most of that time so it was just a minor annoyance. Luckily, it was off by the time I went to sleep, but the front desk told me they'd turn it off if necessary.

Staff was efficient and friendly. Breakfast was notch above chains but lagged behind Novotel's in Europe. Excellent coffee. Pool is great but hot tub is not water or air jetted, just warm and still. Sauna was great. Elevators are fast and efficient. Parking was tight but very convenient. Location is superb for Distillery District and St Lawrence Market. Rooms are strangely decorated but beds and pillows are excellent. Noisy music from late night dance club across the street was a minor irritant (wife is a light sleeper) but convenience of restaurants/bars/clubs directly across the street was convenient. Goose Island Brewery beer was exceptional.

An amazing location, close to restaurants, markets, drugstores, tourist spots, and even the Union Station. The hotel offers great facilities and amenities, and the staff is professional and efficient. Great breakfast options.

A microwave is provided at the lobby area to heat the food. Although every floor in the hotel has an ice machine, It would be even more practical to have a microwave along with the ice machine to make it convenient for the guests to heat the food, especially during winters.

The location of this hotel is an easy 5-minute walk from Union station, the endpoint for the express train from the airport and for trains coming in from elsewhere. It's also just a 5-minute walk from the wonderful St. Lawrence market. And in a few minutes more and you're in The cool Distillery District. There are also a lot of great restaurants within walking distance. I also enjoyed using the hotel sauna, there is one in both the men's and women's locker rooms adjacent to the very well equipped gym.

We really liked the location of the hotel. The fact that you can only get to your floor with a card is very reassuring, since there are plenty of homeless people in the city. The room was very clean, and the bathroom was just amazing. The mattress and pillows were so comfortable that you just didn't want to leave the room.

The only thing that didn't suit us was that for $500 per night, our room didn't have a view of the city, but only a view of some roof and a parking lot. We think that for such a room we could pay $400, but not $500. But even this small negative point doesn't change the fact that we are delighted with this hotel!
