Room: I stayed in a 4-bed bedroom female room. I was assigned to sleep on the upper bunk (which I usually don't like) but I found it to be comfortable. I was able to sleep right away on my first night. The bed had outlets for charging (a socket and a USB port) and a small light which were nice. Great view on the window as well. Overall, I found the bed comfy and had no problem sleeping. The roommates I had were all great as well and did not make a lot of noise except when they're fixing their stuff, which is normal. Location: I went over my budget for this reason as it is only a ferry ride away from Amsterdam Centraal, which means I get to save money on train rides. Because of this, I enjoyed spending a few hours to rest after a long day. And in the evening, I can easily take a quick ferry to Albert Heijn to grab food. Outside, I felt safe walking even late at night. There are still a lot of people. Lounge: I found that the people here usually keep to themselves. So if you're looking to socialize and meet new people, I would suggest managing your expectations. The area is great for working, eating, or just chilling. Staff: They were all nice and accommodating of my questions.

1. I wish the pillow was bigger and more comfortable. Although it didn't affect my sleep much. 2. I got my first glimpse of "no cash, card only" here. It was quite unexpected and found myself purchasing a EUR4,00 water using my card on my first night. Luckily, tap water is safe to drink!

The bunk beds in the room were comfortable, and the breakfast, though average, lacked variety. While the location is slightly distant from the city centre, it is situated in a pleasant and charming area. The lobby has a vibrant atmosphere, offering various gaming facilities that add to the overall lively environment.

Although the staff was generally polite, one of the female staff members working the morning shift had an overly dismissive attitude and lacked a personable approach. She treated older guests the same way she might treat younger ones, without adjusting her tone or demeanor. It would be better if she displayed more respect and less attitude when interacting with different guests.

That you pay so much money for extras like low cost airlines. You pay for a hostel and then you spend so much money . You have to buy soap and then 5 euros for towels and 12€ to keep your luggage before or after check in while all the hotels have a free luggage room. So finally after all th extras the price is like a hotel. So better to have privacy and a proper room in a hotel instead of this

Most of the people in his staff were very good. But one person gave me great mental pain. I was sleeping on the bottom bed for three days. Because I have a fracture in my leg and there was only one girl in the room besides me. Four days later, when I returned in the evening, my belongings were on the top bed and some were on the floor. When I went to the reception. So there were two young men. One of them rudely said that we don't have any bed downstairs. Book a separate room. If I had that much money, I would have taken a separate room in the first place. But the other young man helped me and took another 18 euros from me and gave me the lower bed in the other room. I don't know what these 18 euros were for.

There was no window that could be opened for fresh air.

The room was great, all the facilities were clean and mostly working. The rooms are very comfortable and the lockers very large. It was in a very good location, it is next to the dock so we took the ferry every day for free and it took us right to the central station. Also because it is on the other side of the river it was very quiet and away from most other tourists.

The first night when I spoke to reception there was one guy who was incredible and worked it out so my friend and I could stay in the same room for three out of the four nights (we forgot to ask to be together) but then every other interaction I had with a staff member was strange or mildly uncomfortable. They seemed confused why I would be talking to them or asking them questions and were completely unhelpful, even for simple queries about reccommendations for the city, use of the common spaces and locker hire. So shout out to that first guy for being an outlier I guess.

I stayed Dec 26 to Jan 1, 2023 single private room Scale of 1-10 (10 being the highest) Staff: 10 - I never knew a hostel staff can be so kind and helpful until I met Ms. Arlinde the asst. front office mngr. There was this one day i got so unlucky, but with her around, she helped and saved me big time! She has this sense of urgency and she cares for the guests / tourists. She has a great management skills. She knows how to calm a distressed person with her people skills and knows how to show empathy. Location: 8 - a 5 minute free 24/7 boat ride to go to the central station plus 3 minute walk to get to the tram station, if you’ll walk from this point, it’ll take you 12 minutes to reach Dam Square (from central station) Room: 9 - clean room with comfy bed, pillows and blanket plus towel, clean shower bathroom with good water pressure (shower) with hot and cold. Room is quiet. Added value / facilities: 9 - the hostel has a very youthful cool vibe, a lot of young generations are also staying there. They have a bar downstairs and also a common area if you want to mingle with other travelers. They also have pool table game and some arcade games Wifi: 9 - strong wifi Value for money: 9 - I stayed in a single private room, not cheap but knowing it is in Amsterdam Europe and the location is a bit close to the center, so I think the price if reasonable

There is none that I didn’t like.

Location was great, very central, easily accessible, loved the breakfast buffet, plenty common areas to hang out, and staff was polite and helpful.

At first I booked 14 bedroom dorm, but it really wasnt good for 14 people staying in it, it was too hot and too small room, so I wouldnt recommend staying in one, especially for the price you are paying. I was lucky enough to have the staff upgrade me to a 6 bedroom dorm and I payed the difference.
