Our room was incredible. It was huge, lots of wardrobe space, 4 poster bed, separate toilet to the bathroom and Spotlessly clean. The reception and bar area is stunning and breakfast superb. Staff were very polite and helpful. The hotel is located near the heart of the city, within a very short walk from public transport. We visited the week before Xmas and got to experience the wonderful Xmas markets on the side streets around the corner from the hotel. Plus only a short walk away was the large Xmas market which had one of the largest outdoor skating areas I’ve seen.

We thought the swimming pool was lovely, spotlessly clean and great for those wanting to swim lengths. The spa area is wonderful but it came as a shock to us when other users of the spa were fully naked (we had swimwear on). There were no warnings from hotel staff about this and I couldn’t see any signs in the spa to advise us that it was a nudist area. We found the experience rather embarrassing. As the hotel has guests from a mix of nationalities / cultures, perhaps they could consider having dedicated time slots for those who do/don’t want the naked spa experience? Or at least forewarn guests. It is such an excellent spa facility and a petty if those who don’t want to be accompanied by naked users to feel they have to miss out.

Everything was pretty, the lobby, the decor, the artwork and the place had a nice, relaxing vibe. Our room (junior suite) was large, airy, bright and comfortable. The bathroom was huge with bath tub, separate shower, separate toilet and Balmain amenities. The room didn't have coffee/tea facilities, instead you called room service whenever you wanted, ordered your coffee and it arrived in minutes, for free! The staff was brilliant; kind, informative and helpful. Breakfast was good, a buffé combined with a menu of hot items to order from. The food we ordered from room service was very tasty and arrived promptly. We didn't have time to try out the pool and the spa.

Nothing, except that the hotel was fully booked so we couldn't stay another night :(

Absolutely fantastic hotel with friendly and helpful staff, excellent spotless and spacious rooms, delicious breakfast with variety of food. The beautiful bathroom had a separate washing toilet behind the glass, a spacious shower compartment and a modern bathtub. We had a beautiful room with balcony on 5th floor, very quiet. The bed was very large and extremely comfortable, the sheet and duvet cover were so delicate and soft to touch that it was a mere pleasure to dive into them each night.

Minor issues like: 1. slightly too little space in the wardrobe (there was actually no drawer, just some shelves and a bar), 2. I would be happier with a bedside cabinet (instead of a table) where I could put all my small belongings and keep them there neat during our stay.

property was beautiful and a good location in the museum quarter. staff was overwhelmingly nice and helpful - only stayed 2 nights so did not have time to enjoy the spa but would have liked to….. next time!

Overall, it was an amazing stay. I really enjoyed the breakfast, and the room looked nice and was very spacious as well. The location was also very good, with a supermarket next door for some essentials, and a metro station (Volkstheater) within close walking distance that can get you anywhere using Wiener Linien. The staff were extremely nice as well, and were always very helpful with everything during our stay.

There appears to be a lot of dust in the air (possibly due to the air conditioner) that accumulates in the nose during sleeping, which was visible when sneezing upon waking up, which wasn't pleasant to see. So my recommendation would be to clean that a bit more often, if possible.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Hotel Sans Souci. The hospitality throughout was outstanding — from the warm, attentive reception team who made us feel welcome from the start, to the exceptional restaurant staff who impressed us with their friendly service and professionalism. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city yet calm and relaxing. Our room was beautifully appointed, well-maintained, and very comfortable. Every part of the service reflected genuine care and high standards. A hotel that really knows how to make guests feel valued — highly recommended.

This hotel is lovely. It’s beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and the bed was big and comfy. The staff were all super friendly and helpful. We had breakfast included with our stay and it was amazing. So many choices on the buffet, and you’re able to order off the menu as well. Breakfast staff were always extremely prompt and professional. We also had drinks and appetizers in the bar a few times and while not inexpensive, they were well-crafted and the bar staff were experts. All the meals we saw come out of the kitchen for dinner looked great. And with breakfast as good as it was, I wasn’t surprised. My husband and I both used the gym as well, and while small, it had everything you could need and was very clean. The bath products the hotel offers are also nice. I do wish they had in-room coffee besides the instant granules to mix with hot water, since we are early risers and would have liked decent coffee before it was offered downstairs. In general, I found Vienna to be a later-to-rise city. The location of this hotel could not have been more perfect. There is a metro station right up the street, and even without that, it’s walkable to many attractions. There is also a Spar grocery right next door, which was convenient and had an ATM that didn’t charge rip-off fees like the EuroNet ones all around do. I would say for value, this hotel was on par with other expensive cities like Paris. I would definitely return if we could ask for a quieter room next time.

Our room, a junior suite on the first floor was really noisy. We couldn’t hear hallway noise, but it sounded like furniture was being moved above us and very heavy people were stomping around all hours of the day and night. To the hotel’s credit, we did not ask to switch rooms so I don’t know if they would have accommodated this as we were exhausted and unpacked already and just didn’t want to deal with it. But if you are a light sleeper, I would not recommend staying in one of these rooms. I got very little sleep each night. The windows to the outside were VERY well-sound proofed, we couldn’t really hear the street noise even being so close to the busy road, so I was surprised and disappointed it was so easy to hear so much through the ceiling.

My wife and I had a great experience at San Souci. We stayed for three nights. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the staff is friendly, spa is nice, the location is excellent. The hotel is pricey, but of five star hotels I have visited I would rank San Souci among the best. The restaurant is also quite nice (don't forget to reserve). Our daughter and toddler grandson were in a nearby room and the staff was super accommodating and very kind to him, despite his natural rambunctiousness. We never felt like it was a problem.

I can't say that there was much I did not like. Each of the rooms are different. I think that all will be comfortable.

The standard room is very big, bright and done to a high standard. The facilities were amazing, changing area, huge shower, speakers in the bathroom, TV built into the mirror etc. The room was really quiet. And the hotel provided a free gym, heated 20m pool, sauna and there was a treatment room you could book. Breakfast ran up to midday, so you could relax and even order coffee to your room, free up to 12:00. The were warm, polite and professional, exceeding that of a number of the other 5 star establishments. They also advised on activities booking all forms of transport and restaurants. All in all a very pleasant stay.
