Location, the height of the room, nice personal on reception, daily cleaning Is not fair to rate a booked room as if it should be a 5 stars, because is not pretending to be.

So, the room inside is more like grandma place, but the price is fair - and as long as it is clean , it works

Excellent location, right in the middle of the busy Mariahilferstrasse. The U3 metro line is right in front of the building and the bus that takes you to the train station is just 5 mins walking distance. There's plenty of places to have early breakfast /lunch and a good coffee around, plenty of stores and the cultural attractions (History/Art Museums, Belvedere, Hofburg Palace, Albertina, Stephan's Dom etc) are within walking distance. The pension itself is very nice, it has a very old school charm I did not find in other places. They clean the rooms every single day, which is unexpected and pleasant at the same time. Breakfast is also possible, if you want to eat at the location. We really enjoyed our stay at Pension Mariahilfer, we'll definitely be back soon.

The location was EXCELLENT. You are right on the pedestrian shopping street with lots of easy food options right there. The metro is literally outside the door. The breakfast was excellent and the staff kind and helpful. The rooms are simple, very clean and had everything I needed. I had a late flight and was given clear directions and instructions for accessing the room after hours.

I was in Vienna during a heat wave - I knew there wasn't air conditioning in the rooms so that was OK. We were provided with a quiet good fan which made all the difference.

Fantastic location, shops at your doorstep, short walk to museums quartier and old town, opera house etc. Wonderful hosts and staff, secure car parking nearby, very spacious 2 bedroom apartment with large living area, great heating and instant hot water, quiet.

Shower needs updating, but functional. A separate toilet would be good for sharing with up to 6 people in the apartment, OK for a family though

Breakfast was simple, but good.. Eggs, bread, oatmeal, orange juice, coffee, chocolate, ham, and cheese... We enjoyed it! Location is quite good, as all you are at the city center, cinema is there, restaurants and stores as well, Hbf aint far away...room great, cozy, it had everything needed.. Maybe it would have been nice to have a Queen Size bed instead of two individual ones, but it was totally fine as well! :)

Great location! If you want to be close to everything, especially for a family, for a budget then its the perfect place. Plain, clean, easy access, quiet, central.

A bit outdated but if you need a place to crash at night and spend the day out then look no further.

The location was perfect, just a 10 min walk to Maria Theresien platz and 15 min to Viena State Opera. Close to many sights, restaurants, shops and public transport. The hotel is very clean and the host is very kind. We had a late check-in, after 21:00 pm - it was very easy to unlock the door and to find our room. The host had given very clear instructions.

Clean, comfortable room with a good breakfast. It's a very small Pension Hotel in a large building, so it feels homey. It's got a metro line right outside the door, so getting around Vienna is easy. It's also close to many of the tourist attractions so walking works, too.

I didn't really know how to get inside the big building at first, and the instructions on the door were not intuitive. But someone else was entering the building when we were trying to figure this out, and we followed her in. Once inside the building, it was easy to find the correct floor and door for the pension. And once we got our keys, it worked out just fine. Also, it was a bit noisy on the street below our room at times, but not excessively loud.

The Pension is located on the first floor of a building that is immediately opposite the exit of the Neubeugasse Metro station on the U3 line. This means that you can get into the centre of Vienna in a few minutes. Buy a multi-day public transport ticket and you can make full use of the city's extensive transport network. My single room was on the small scale, but adequate. There was a fridge, three chairs and a desk, and plenty of storage. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was spacious. No airconditioning, but a fan was available. Breakfast was an additional 8,30 euros a day, quite reasonable for Vienna, and served from 8:00am in the reception area.

What stops me giving the Pension a higher rating is the noise from the street. Mariahilferstr is a major shopping strip during the day, and a popular hangout for drunks and homeless at night. This noise necessitated the wearing of ear-plugs to get asleep.

It was more like home than a hotel, carpets on the floor and two chairs. The room was also warm when we arrived. Quiet and very close to the metro (if you take the right exit). We will return….

One of the pillows were thin and gave less support.
