Great location close to all the shops and restaurants of Mariahilf :) you can either walk into the city centre or take the U3 tube right outside the hotel. The room was clean and the beds really comfortable. The room was nicely decorated and we liked the coffee provided in the room and lobby. Even though we had windows towards the shopping street it was quiet because there are not really restaurants or bars on the street so late at night the street is quite silent.

Nothing really to mention here. Overall a good experience even if nothing extraordinary

Absolutely amazing hotel in beautiful building. From the moment we arrived at the hotel we were made to feel welcome. Kristina at reception/bar was so lovely and helpful. She gave us perfect directions.... she heard us saying how much we love the Manner wafer biscuits in Vienna, and we couldn't believe when we returned to our room later in the evening she had placed a pack of the wafer biscuits on our door with a personalised note. She's a superstar. In fact, all the staff we encountered were so friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean, cool and location is perfect for everything. You can just walk out the door and everything including all the main sites (like in photos) and grand buildings are just there within a few minutes. Great experience!!

Very tiny negative was, although breakfast was as described (croissants and fruit) and tea/coffee, the fruit was a bit limited. Just apples. But it was fine. We weren't expecting so much from breakfast and we didn't want to stop long anyway as we had a busy schedule.

Hotel Schani is in a great location and very easy to reach by walking or by the metro. The free coffee and tea along with the croissants was a great touch as well. The room was spacious and comfortable and was a great space for two people. I also appreciate the staff for being accommodating and allowing us to store our luggage early and drop it off in our room for us prior to our check in time.

Not having a refrigerator in the room was definitely a downside as it limited what we could buy ahead of time for the next morning before early traveling. Having an English television option also would have been preferred, but that is a very low priority feature of the room. Overall, a great stay, but could have been a 10 with those additions.

The location is great, safe and suitable for solo traveller, with nearby underground train and bus stand. Lots of shopping places, halal restaurant around and all landmarks places are just few stations away. Staff is warm, helpful and super kind as they waited for me for my late night arrival, Alina to be exact. And they served free croissants, jams and hot drinks for breakfast. Accomodation is good, they have kettle and coffee machine in the room. Wireless charger by the bed side is a plus point.

The bed is slightly on the softer side and bathroom is glass door, but they provide sliding curtain. And heater needs to be turned on manually too.

The staff was wonderful and the free drinks and pastries for breakfast was really nice. The location near the U-bahn station is convenient, however there are better connected locations in the city

The room design was odd. I knew the shower was in the bedroom from the reviews, but since the toilet is huge it's unclear why they didn't just close it all as a spacious bathroom. The blankets and pillows were very worn-out and thin, not that it disrupted my sleep but I expect more from a 4 star hotel. In addition, the walls are very thin and you can hear every door slam or footsteps in the hallway. The shower (which again, is in the bedroom) occasionally smelled of sewerage or started dripping loudly. Also the floor never felt entirely clean.

It is right in the middle of town on Maria hilferstrasse so if you like shopping you’re in the right place. Hotel is very accessible and just get a lift to first floor. Italian breakfast of coffee and croissants included. Staff are helpful and friendly. Not much street noise - quiet.

We were in town for the long weekend (May day) and the price for the room was double the normal rate. This was common across all of Vienna. The rooms are smallish and don’t have a refrigerator. We like to put a couple of small items in fridge so this was not possible.

Very nice hotel with views on Mariahilfer Str, just a few steps from u-bahn. Our room was looking over the road, was very clean, with comfy bed, the breakfast was included and was perfect. Overall, this hotel was a great choice.

- Spacious shower cabin; - Nicely smelling toiletries (body lotion, shower gel); - Quiet neighbourhood (our room was looking into inside garden, no street noise); - Coffee capsules and organic tea in the room; - The location is perfect - everything is in a walkable distance;

- Not sound proof: we had 1 night with neighbours who were walking back and forth in the room and the noise was quite significant. Very unusual that the majority of noise was coming from someone walking on the floors - it felt like they are walking inside your room, next to your ear:D apart from that - no complaints. The following nights were quiet - no neighbours walking; - Room was quite small but everything in it (furniture position, accessories, amenities, facilities etc) planned very carefully, thus it was not bothering us at all;

The location was the best feature. We used Uber if we needed to be somewhere at a specific time. However, because of the location we also walked a lot. It was inly a 20/25 minute walk to the main city. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and functional but a little bit on the small side. There is not a lot of space to hang clothes/ outdoor coats,etc. It can feel a little cramped at times. But it was perfectly adequate for or 3 night stay. We did not have the breakfast option as there are so many cafes close by.

The size of the room. The entrance to the hotel does look a little uninviting, making you wonder what sort of place you are staying in. There is no separate lounge/dining room/reception; they are all in the same space.

The hotel is only 2 minutes from the metro station and the centre only 20 minutes by foot! The weather was perfect so if you like walking I would recommend going there by foot. The room was warm and cozy, free coffee, juice, fruits and croissants every morning.The staff was very polite and friendly, especially Alex in the evening and the young lady in the reception! The only thing I would change is that the windows do not have any shutters if you want to sleep a little more and not wake up at 7
