Location super close to Haus des Meeres (5 min walk), Hofburg Palace (10 min walk), Museums Quartier (8 min walk&stairs). Also, in front of the hotel is the bus stop for 57A line, and metro station U4 (connection to Landstraße, city center and others) is at 5 minutes walk. Clean rooms (daily cleaned), radiators that heat the rooms, spacious wardrobes. The breakfast was good too, you can find everything you need (coffee, tea, juice, vegan food, omelette, eggs, bacon, jam, fruits, fruit compote, gluten free food, cereals, any kind of milk and so on). It was a nice vacation, good prices for a winter visit to Vienna

The staff were friendly and really helpful. My granddaughter's glasses needed fixing and we were given directions to the opticians who fixed then without charge. The location was perfect for the activities I'd booked, the Haus Des Meeres was about 10 minutes' walk, the Chocolate Museum a stop away on the U 4, the Zoo a few more stops away on the U4 and the Naschmarkt very near the U4 stop at Kettenbruckengasse, the stop for the hotel. There is a Spar supermarket right next to the hotel and the long shopping street Mariahilfestrasse is also very near, parallel and a couple of streets above. The situation of the hotel meant that all of Vienna could be reached very easily.

Pads on the dining chairs on the terrace. They made a loud scraping sound when moved.

Very good location, about a 15-minute walk from the Hofburg. Also very close to the Kettenbrückengasse metro station and the Naschmarkt. Spacious and well-lit room. Large windows overlooking a courtyard. Clean room, and towels changed every two days. Comfortable bed. Plenty of closet space. The bathroom was a good size. The best part was the breakfast: very extensive, with both sweet and savory options (toasts, bread, different types of cheese and sausages, boiled eggs, omelette, different milks: whole milk, semi-skimmed milk, soy milk, etc.), and very good coffee. Reasonably priced for Vienna. They store your luggage after you leave the room at check-out. I would repeat this hotel without any doubt.

The hotel has several flights of stairs, although there is an elevator. The rooms are in House 2, so you have to walk quite a distance inside the building, which is somewhat confusing. There are no blinds, so light enters early in the morning. Although the breakfast is very good, at the third day, it is a bit repetitive, and I missed some more fruit.

The hotel is in a great location, just a short walk from Vienna’s famous food market and about 15 minutes from the Opera. There’s also a SPAR grocery store conveniently located on the ground floor. The staff were very friendly and professional. Even though I informed them about our arrival just 30 minutes in advance, they still provided us with a parking spot, which was much appreciated. Breakfast was simple but enough to get you going for the day. The hotel seems to be a repurposed campus building, which gives it a unique feel. If you're looking for a clean, budget-friendly place to sleep that’s close to the city center, I’d definitely recommend this hotel.

What I disliked: The floor in the room was dusty, and the noise from the street could be a problem if you’re a light sleeper. We were situated on the first floor.

Our stay at Hotel Kolping Wien Zentral was great! The 24-hour reception staff was very kind and helpful. We were lucky to check in 4 hours early as a free room was available. Our room was clean, quiet, comfortable, and spacious enough for two people. Breakfast was delicious, though the fruit selection was limited (only apples, oranges, and pears) and not very fresh, along with the cucumbers and tomatoes. Tip: Go early (around 7:00 AM) to avoid waiting for a table after 9:00 AM. The location was excellent, with a SPAR supermarket and a beer shop with 1,000+ types of beer nearby. WiFi was stable, and the luggage storage was convenient, even for a week. However, security is your own responsibility. Overall, a very nice experience—highly recommended! 😊

Twice, at different times, a staff member opened our room without checking if it was okay to enter—this was very bad. Also, no refrigerator in the room—if you need one, it costs €5 per night extra, and there is no kettle available at all in the hotel. Because of these issues, I rated 9 instead of 10.

As someone who values fair pricing, this booking met my expectations. I’d say we got lucky, but since we arrived in Wien on a night train, we had to wait a few hours before check-in. We went to the property, and they let us in ahead of time. I was expecting just to drop off our bags, but instead, we were able to get our room early, what a nice surprise!

I would’ve been pleased with at least a single queen bed. I traveled with my wife, and even though the beds were practically touching, the gap between the pillows made it a little uncomfortable.

It was a great central location , perfect for seeing the city just 15 minutes from the museum district and 5 minutes from uncle lee‘s food market , the best buffet restaurant I have ever had pleasure of visiting as food is fresh and very tasty. Would recommend to those looking for a a nice break away . They do a good quality breakfast and they is a goods selection for the everyone to enjoy. The staff were great and were very helpful and room was spotless and beds were very comfortable.

The only reason 9 instead of 10 was lack of hot beverage making facility but this was flagged that there was none in the rooms as part of the deal so I am being a bit picky but it would have been nice to have a cuppa in the evening in the room.

The location is great!You just follow the road and it leads you straight to the city centre, within 15' of walking. We've booked one night only and we really wanted a place as close to the sights as possible. Breakfast was included and it was more than decent! everything was tasty and it had quite a variety to accommodate different dietary needs. All the staff were welcoming and polite. The room and the hotel itself looked and felt clean, good bedding and clean bathroom. There was no sight or smell of mold anywhere, it's something I always look out for. Although we arrived two hours earlier than check in, the room was ready and we checked right in. It's a really good option for an affordable and comfortable stay in Vienna. It's close to transportation, there are cafes all around, a supermarket next to it.

We could not lock the door, it might have been our mistake or the lock was faulty. We didn't feel unsafe at all though and to be honest i forgot to mention it at the front desk. Being there only for the night we didn't mind it that much. If it were for a longer stay I'm sure we would have figured things out!

Very central location to reach everything in the city within minutes (bus stop and super market right beside the hotel), subway three minute walk away, good neighbourhood, good variety of breakfast for its price/hotel stars. Also very friendly employees and a good value for the money spent.

It was very hot the days we stayed. While weather conditions aren't within the power of the hotel, however the rooms got quite hot. A better ventilation system would be nice, even if it is not for the rooms, hallways would be an improvement on its own.

We had a lovely stay here for 3 nights. Everything was perfect- locations, staff, customer service and the room itself. There had range of options for breakfasts as well and they altered the menu everyday. Breakfast was lovely and worth it. Most importantly, we loved the location where the bus stop was near and all the shops restaurants were nearby and walking distance. Lastly, the guy in reception was very welcoming, kind and helpful. As we had a problem with the heater in our room and he ensured it was sorted by next day and provided us extra blankets. Highly recommended.

Nothing. Just my personal preference, it would have been better if the kettle with tea/ coffee sachets were provided in the room. Also more tv channels with English language.
