I stayed here for two nights with a friend in June 2025. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. It had all the amenities (shower (no tub), frig, small microwave, hairdryer, flatscreen TV, free Wi-fi, coffeemaker, shampoo, conditioner, lotion). Sliding glass doors on the first floor lead to a patio that had two chairs and a small table. They have beautiful landscaping with gardens alongside the patios. It's located along a main street with restaurants nearby. The room had two queen beds and fans mounted to the wall. It didn't have A/C, but that's okay, because you don't need it in Monterey!

The Wi-fi didn't work the first day.

It has very convenient access from both a major road (which can be busy) as well as from a lesser road on the other side of the property. Also, it has laundry facilities.

It could use an upgrade. The parking lot is a bit uneven so the step down from the sidewalk to the lot differs which can be a problem for those with walking difficulties. It isn't real bad.

Room is spacious and opens to a nice little area to sit and get some fresh air. Because of that we didn’t miss a/c at all, as the weather in Monterey is nice. It was very handy to have microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker in the room. Good internet.

It can be a little loud in the morning because of the heavy car traffic in the area. But if you don’t plan on staying bed until late, that should not be a problem. No housekeeping for the two days we stayed, but they attended right away if you need anything. It didn’t bother us not having our room cleaned as we had full days of activities.

I wanted a clean and safe option for a one-night stay in Monterey and this inn was absolutely adequate. It certainly isn't fancy but I wasn't expecting anything like that at its price level. The room was large (like pretty much all rooms in the US for a European) and was decently equipped (wifi, microwave, fridge, coffee machine). There was free parking practically next to the room, the area around Old Fisherman's Wharf was accessible on foot in about 20-25 minutes. Though the place is next to a busy road, noise wasn't an issue with the doors/windows closed.

The room and the bathroom did look a bit shabby, but then again. it was clean and reasonably priced, so no problems overall.

Location was perfect. Walking distance to the pier. Room was great, loved the balcony. Remodel in process but would look forward to the pool and hot tub next time. No breakfast but we would not have used that anyway!

It was being remodeled and we could not use the the hot tub. We were told about this when we booked so it was our choice. But looking forward to using it if we stay again.

Great location, close to everything to do in Monterey. Quite a large room for the area, plus a balcony attached (2nd floor). Easy to check in and out. Had plenty of parking near our room. Very quiet considering its on a main street.

Not much to say negatively. It is a no frills hotel, but not much more is needed than a place to sleep and shower. Older hotel but nothing to complain about.

The hotel property was beautiful. The room was spacious and comfortable. There was no issue with having no air conditioning as the weather was cool and the room had the perfect ambient temperature (*our opinion)

Rooms looked slightly old. Could do with a bit of renovation. That's just me being picky. But really, we don't have any negative comments! We loved it.

It was really decent for the price. They hace ice, laundry, small fridge, microwave and coffee maker available.

Patio door couldn't be open and the room smelled strongly of cleaning chemicals. The mattress is probably too old as it dips down when sleeping.

Great value for the money.

We've stayed here before. This time, there was no light above the desk. There were times when that would have helped. Water pressure in shower is on the low side, but very doable. Water is expensive in California now, so we understand. Two years ago we were in an extended drought.

It was great having a balcony! Location was convenient. Property was landscaped nicely.

Currently it is under some construction so there was a bit of noise outside our room. I do hope they will eventually open the pool again. It looked so inviting!
