Breakfast was great, lots of options to choose from. Room, good only the USB connections in the plugs by the bed did not work, Staff brilliant, EasyJet lost my bag and then delivered the next day to the hotel, reception staff very helpful and made sure that it was put in my room when it did arrive. In addition, I stupidly left my house, car keys and some clothing in a drawer, and didn't remember until I was at the airport and airside, the lovely reception staff, arranged for the items to be put in a bag, and sent in a taxi to the airport - complete lifesavers !!! They were so helpful, when they didnt really need to be as it was completely my own fault. Just brilliant staff.

When I arrived the restaurant was closed - closes at 9pm, which I think is way too early, especially for travelling business people. I was able to order room service but at a £5 delivery charge - normally I wouldn't mind if this was my choice but when the restaurant is open, I don't think this should be applicable at such an early time. Then, when I received my food it was lukewarm, I was too hungry and tired to complain. In addition, there are no deserts to choose from on the room service menu either which is disappointing.

Great staff (both pre-visit and during stay) - friendly and willing to help. Hotel very busy but I wasn't rushed or made to feel a nuisance. Great location for SEC events and some of the museums/science centre etc. Comfy beds. I wasn't able to make use of hotel's facilities due to time but several on offer from pool to salon. Easy to get to and easy to park (though it cost to do so). Surprisingly quiet at night for a busy hotel in a city.

Room service - charged £5 to deliver; not obvious from menu how to order and 'room service' button on phone didn't work. Had to go down to reception to order which defeated the point of being able to stay in room. One meal excellent, the other was a bit cold and chips were like oven chips (though burger very good). Lifts took ages to come (one out of order) and hotel was busy. Pillows not comfortable (but I'm fussy about that! - guest slept well).

Our eventual room was good. We had taken up the offer of upgrade to higher floor and access to the clubroom. We spoke to Lenka at checkout and she cancelled the payment for this as we could not get in as full of children and only had 1 glass of wine over the whole stay (whilst standing in a corner) She is a top class receptionist, caring and understanding, this stay was a gift from my daughter for my 79th birthday...which is in April but Shen Yun at the SEC was my gift.. Breakfast was top class and worth every penny fantastic!

First room we were taken too smelled of smoking, also the passage outside the room, strong and pungent. The clubroom was full of children, nowhere for us to sit. This happened over the two days we stayed. Our evening meal for which we chose fish and chips was decidedly uninspiring and tasteless, I would not choose again.

We were treated like royalty during our stay. We loved the executive lounge access and the food that was served. All staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and we always felt valued. Our room was great too.

We were also booked in for a spa day with treatments. Our treatments were 2 hours apart so were happy to spend most of the time in the pool area. Unfortunately there were no robes so we had to stand at reception in a towel until the beauty room door was unlocked. This made us feel self conscious and a bit of display in our swim wear and reception was busy. When we asked about robes they said they didn’t offer them anymore. The jacuzzi also wasn’t working which was unfortunate.

The Bar had fair prices, we unfortunately never made it for breakfast, the bed was certainly comfortable enough and the car park had plenty space for the car to be parked overnight. The front desk staff were amazingly nice to speak to and booking in was actually fun taking to the guy we had, I believe his name was Mohammad, really down to earth guy and very happy to book us in.

The only part we didn't like was we had taken a PlayStation down with us for a gaming session during the night but the TV didn't allow for devices to be plugged in due to the hotels own menu screen, it was a shame to be honest but we had a great time at the concert at the OVO so I guess we were OK but still would have been nice, especially if we took kids down and they wanted to play their games.

I loved everything about this hotel , there is nothing i could find fault with The staff were so helpful , room was spotless and they even left a little box of chocolates and a card as it was my sons birthday We were early but our room was ready so we could check in early , we used the pool facilities,staff in the gym was lovely to, The room had a lovely view over the river and could see the Ovo ,the breakfast choice was fab, I tried haggis for the first time and it was amazing , All staff were polite at all times, like I said I could not find fault with this hotel ,

Nothing like mary poppins said practically perfect in every way .

Proximity to the hydro - excellent location for attending a concert. 20- 30 minute walk into town centre or a short walk to train station which will deliver you into town in a couple of minutes - train ticket prices very reasonable. Lovely bar with attentive and friendly staff. Lounge access with our room was good but spoilt by greedy uncivilised people stuffing bottles of wine and beer into bags to take away and getting drunk at the same time.

Breakfast could be a whole lot better. Buffet style with a menu but the menu is taken away when it's busy so you get a very reduced choice for the same price.

The location of the hotel is perfect when attending a concert at the Hydro or for touring the city centre. Restaurants and bars are local. The hotel room is very comfortable although bed too soft but that's a personal opinion. Breakfast outstanding and the staff are really friendly and helpful.

The lifts are a problem. We were lucky to have been on first floor so used the stairs but had to carry luggage down as the lifts couldn't take the weight they were supposed to. Too few lifts for the amount of floors/rooms. Breakfast time and after a concert are a nightmare!

The room was very comfy and had a decent view. The breakfast quality was very good, as per usual for the Crowne Plaza. Location was decent if one wishes to walk or grab a quick taxi within the West End of Glasgow. Staff was always extremely friendly and helpful when necessary.

The room upon entering required some extra cleanup as there was some food detritus left behind from the previous patron, but this was quickly corrected. The bed I was sleeping in was broken in several areas (mattress springs most notably), but the hotel was kind enough to refund my night and provide me with a new room come morning. My particular compliments go to the Night Manager Frank who was extremely helpful and professional.

We attended an event at the Hydro and the hotel was ideally location to avoid the long queues for taxis after the event as we could just walk around the corner. Rooms were clean and tidy, staff were friendly.

The lift situation was not good, we were located on the 15th floor but only two lifts were working so this resulted in huge queues especially after an event as everyone was returning at the same time. We were told we could use the staff lifts on the first day but after this the area was then locked and a member of staff said they were shut for maintenance.
