We stayed at the Adults Only section. The resort is spacious with all facilities: 3 restaurants, bars, gym, shisha lounge, disco and others. The staff especially the animation team are super friendly and fun. The rooms are spacious with a beautiful view. There is lots of greenery around. Most importantly, the food was pretty good and diverse.

The resort is not in Hurghuda - it is in Makadi Bay (10km far from center). There is nothing around the resort, but we did not mind because we spent all our time in the resort. There was no need to leave the resort in the 1st place. The water at the beach was very shallow - don't expect to swim by the shore. There is coral reef but it is not beautiful - dry and grey. The price of the resort is very high compared to others in the area. Most of the people attending are 50+ years old, so don't expect to meet young people :)

I was in a master suite in the adults-only part of Cleopatra. It was a huge apartment, with two balconies overlooking the sea, a very good view. The bed was probably the most comfortable I have slept in. The adults-only part is quite exclusive with it's own sheltered pool area which is quite a sun trap, so you will not be hassled by anyone trying to sell you anything, there is also a reserved beach area with the dive club right there next door. The staff are smartly dressed, exceptionally friendly and professional. Food is served exclusively for the adults-only guests at a beach-front restaurant which is very nice all times of the day, but especially during the evening when the staff put on different themes. It's not an open buffet sort of place, your dishes are served up by chefs, so it's all to a high quality, fresh and hygenic. I was all-inclusive and you are still allowed to go and use the rest of the hotel, which is well worth it because it looks far nicer than it does in the photos! Overall it's a very well run hotel in an impressive large complex. The staff all seemed to take their jobs seriously and seemed happy. They told me the man who owns the hotel pays them well and looks after them. Guests were mostly German speaking when I went, but all very nice, which contributed to a great relaxed holiday atmosphere. If you want to go somewhere for the pure sun and sea experience in a place which feels very high quality then you can't go wrong with this place.

The decor in my room was not ultra modern but it was still luxurious

1. Staying at the beachfront resort (adults only) gave us an advantage to use other facilities of the main resort as well. So you get to enjoy the advantage of staying in a no kids area while still being able to enjoy the rest of the resort whenever needed. 2. Staff are amazingly friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Elsayed from the main reception, who ensured our stay is memorable by his efforts to meet our special requests as possible. 3. Food was really good (Especially at the main resort's dinning hall). It was varied, available and even if we didn't like some items, we were able to find more items that we could enjoy. Drinks were also nice, especially at the main bar and at the sky lounge bar. 4. The heated pool was a good idea, especially on the first two days of our stay when we couldn't bear the wind on the beach. 5. We enjoyed our half day snorkeling trip that we arranged through the diving center inside the resort. Which allowed us to enjoy unforgettable scenes, crystal clear waters, coral reefs and the perfect weather. 6. The billiard tables, table tennis tables, darts and other entertaining games at main resort's bar.

1. Room's furniture is a bit old, especially the mattress, which we expected better ones/new ones in a 5 star resort. Also the TV screen is really old and we couldn't properly enjoy it. 2. The sea area/beach facing the resort is not of a gradual depth. But rather it is shallow waters for a really long distance, and then suddenly it is not shallow. This is why if you want to swim you will need to walk the water bridge and then you get to enjoy the sea. 3. A big part of the sea area infront of the resort is allocated for parasailing.

The work team were very friendly, especially Karim and Ali in the reception, Khaled Youssef and Ali in the restaurant, and Ibrahim Housekeeping ❤️❤️❤️

They just don't tell you that it's a German resort and everyone speaks German including the waiters that are almost aggressive angling for tips. Everyone has some kind of aggression wanting tips
