Massage in Spa was not professional, I don't recommend it. Internet was terrible, sketchy connection, comes and goes like a jojo. in October the pools are without heating and too cold for swimming

We want to start by saying that our experience overall was 5 stars (the hotel, the staff, the beach, the pool, the activities, the food) mainly due to Hanna - see why at the bottom of the review. We will come back to this hotel, but there are things you should be aware of if you are going to book this hotel. 1. The A/C is actually seasonal, if you go in the cooler months it won't work to cool your room, it will only act as a fan. Your room will be warmer than the evening air outside (18-23 degrees while we were there) if you're not willing to sleep with the balcony door open. 2. You have to be ready to be approached by sales people at least 4 times per day. Some will be persistent, some will be more lax. You may have to break some hearts with stern rejections. 3. The food is good for an all inclusive, but remember that you're booking an all inclusive and that you're going to experience another culture with different food. 4. The WiFi is not great. We loved that because we wanted to be cut off from the world. But if you're not able to put your phone down for a week, or you're looking to work from the hotel, then we'd suggest grabbing a SIM card from the airport. 5. Actually do get a SIM card at the airport and order an Uber to the hotel. They should cost around 300-400 Egyptian pounds which is £6. You can also order a car from the hotel (they charge 30 euro for a car) and you can haggle local airport taxis on arrival, they won't take much less than £15-20. 6. Bring Euros, British Pounds, or Dollars in cash. There is a market for foreign currency here and they prefer to do business in these currencies. Now the fun stuff... The hotel is gorgeous, set in a compound with 3 other sister hotels that you have access to (but other hotels don't have access to Makadi Spa, especially those with children). The rooms are beautiful and well maintained.

Makadi spa is super relaxed and does not feel crowded. There are no animation teams, shows, or activities (except for yoga). All areas have quiet music which makes the whole place very relaxing. We booked delightful dinners in all of the 7 restaurants, and we found none of them disappointing. Breakfast and lunch are available in several places as well, but the cove was our favorite. Being a guest at Makadi Spa gives you access to the other 5-star hotels next door with all their bars, activities, and 7 more all-inclusive a la carte restaurants, but the guests at those places cannot enter the premises at Makadi Spa. Mr. Hannah, the head butler, truly made our stay unforgettable. He took us on a tour to show us the special places and included extras for us, such as VIP Beach beds, free drinks at cash bars, and free coffee in the Vienna Cafe. He organized a special dinner on the beach for our big occasion and was readily available at all times and made reservations for us as well.

Beautiful hotel in a very secure private area that contains a few other Makadi hotels which you can visit and use their facilities too. We booked the Junior Suite with the Sea View and absolutely loved it. The room was really nicely decorated, spacious, clean and comfortable. The view of the sea and the swimming pool was fantastic. The hotel offers a buffet style dinner or a selection of a la carte restaurants. We didn't get a chance to try the buffet, but the a la carte restaurants were really good. As vegetarians, we liked the Asian one the most. The area has a really nice long strip of the beach where you can stroll in the mornings. Also, we were really surprised how good the yoga classes were. Usually the hotels have a very basic class, but we really enjoyed the ones offered here. The air yoga is a must try, but the spaces are limited, so make sure to come early to get yours. We'd like to thank Mr. Hanna for all his help during our stay. We felt very welcomed and looked after. Definitely recommend the place to all our friends and family.

Please sort the Wi-Fi problem. All hotels should be able to offer free fast Wi-Fi nowadays.

The property is spectacular! The architecture, lighting, infinity pools everything. And Mr Hanna, the manager, went out of his way to make us feel welcome and relaxed. Despite being responsible for the entire property he gave us a lot of personal attention. It's super value for money, and there is a lot more than advertised on booking.com. There are 3 sister resorts, all of which are accessible and free of cost (drinks, food and facilities). The resort itself has 6 different restaurants all of which were included. We were spoilt for choice. There is also gelatarias, coffees shops, salons and multiple shops within the venue, so there is always a lot to explore and do. Best for last, the room was massive and exceptionally comfortable!

The drinks in the afternoon were not the best, the evening drink bars offered much more variety and better quality. The pool and jacuzzi weren't heated.

The staff are all polite, very welcoming and very helpful. Always smiling and ready to assist with anything.... The hotel is spotless and stunning, the seaview suites are big and spacious with a lovely view. It's a quiet and peaceful hotel, perfect if you just want a relaxing getaway without noise! There are a lot of older folk guests if it's something you don't mind. The food (buffet) was good with a wide variety of cuisine. Breakfast is plentiful, delicious crepes, yogurts, cold meats, cheeses, breads, pastries...

The room is beautiful, clean and spacious. The whole staff was really welcoming and helpful, especially Hanna. You can find whatever you wish in the hotel. The coral reefs are really nice in front of the hotel.

The internet is terrible. The provided Wi-Fi is not working at all and even the mobile service is off in the hotel. If you wish to use the Internet during your stay, this is not the best place but if you want to have a nice remote place it cannot be a barrier. Do not use the in-house taxi service. This is an external provider who is only ripping off tourists. Taxi trips are charged 10 times more expensive than a local taxi would cost. They do not have proper taxis, only shuttle buses which are continuously coming late. The quality of this service is not meeting the expectations of a 5 star hotel and on top of it is outrageously expensive.

Makadi Spa exceeded our expectations! We left a near by resort very unhappy and the staff here went above and beyond to make our stay exceptionally wonderful, and they didn’t even know about our negative experience with the previous resort. The main butler Hana met with us when we arrived and helped us pick our restaurants for our stay, the staff at each restaurant went above and beyond to make us feel happy and at home. The customer service at this resort was 10/10. We moved from a near by resort as it did not meet our expectations for a relaxing adult vacation. From the moment we arrived we were treated like family! It was truly an adult oasis, and we are so happy we decided to visit this resort. We picked it based on the online booking website reviews and our experience was even better than we imagined! Hana checked in on us, and constantly wishing us well during our day, and made sure we had anything we could possibly need! Even our favourite wine for our room! On our last night, the staff planned and prepared a special dinner for my dinner birthday. The chef came out to greet us, they prepared a wonder 6 course meal, and it will be a birthday I will never forget! Thank you again for making this an amazing vacation! What we didn’t like? That we couldn’t stay longer! Everything about our stay was 10/10, our room was beautiful, clean, and our view was gorgeous! The staff greeted us each day with a smile, and always offered extra water or towels when needed. The bed was so comfortable! I loved our huge bathroom, the shower and everything about this room!
