The staff was so nice and pleasant. One of the rooms was very big and comfortable.

There were a few times we left the room for more than 5 hours and our room wasn't cleaned. The cleaning service came at around 15:00 when we were resting and only was able to replace the towels. We asked for a refill for the hair conditioner from two different people and that didn't happen. I think they don't have enough people in cleaning service. Also, one of our rooms didn't have a working air conditioner. They've replaced the room to a smaller one with a window we couldn't open since it faced the ally where the garbage was so the smell was awful. Keep in mind we have payed for two deluxe rooms...

The location of the hotel is simply wonderful. The staff were very polite, friendly, and always ready to help if I had any questions. The toiletries were of good quality, and there were disposable slippers, a bathrobe – everything was provided. The room had coffee, a nice view from the window, a comfortable bed, and a TV. Overall, it was very comfortable to stay there

There were a couple of issues during our stay. The air conditioning wasn’t working properly, and since we arrived on particularly hot days, there were moments when it felt quite warm in the room. However, by the end of our stay, the AC was fixed. Another small problem was that a lamp short-circuited and the electricity went out in our room, but this was resolved rather quickly, so I don’t consider it a major issue. These are the only downsides we experienced

We didn't make use of the bar or the breakfast facilities which are rather limited. The breakfast menu was not to our taste. We did know this in advance of our stay. There are several excellent pubs and cafes nearby and we can recommend Tropea in Russell Square itself and The Swan in Cosmo place. The room was excellent. We had a street view but the heavy curtains prevented too much noise. Earplugs were provided if necessary. The bath towels were really big and robes and slippers were provided together with other useful items if you forgot anything for the bathroom.

The facilities are limited but we were aware in advance and this did not detract from an otherwise very good hotel

Lovely hotel right across from Russell Square, right near the tube and within walking distance of Covent Garden and the Strand. The rooms were bright and spacious, and the bathroom was large. I appreciated the boutique hotel vibe.

It was very hot in London when I was there, and unfortunately there was a glitch with the a/c in our room - it was blowing out hot air instead of cold. It was 10:30 at night, my daughter and I were both sick, and there were no other vacant rooms in the hotel. So the property manager called a nearby hotel, arranged a room there, and personally walked us to the new hotel. It was such a thoughtful and kind response to the problem.

The staff at the Morton are fab, everyone we encountered was so lovely. The room was quite spacious and the bed was comfy. The location is excellent - right across the road from Russell Square and very central. There's also a very delicious chain right next door (Farmer J), which makes it easier to get some food if you arrive late.

Not an issue for us because we're accustomed to it, but some people may find the noise of the street disruptive if they're not used to it (the windows in our room weren't double glazed and it was right on the corner near the Russell Square crossing [cnr Woburn/Bernard]).

My friend and I did not eat at the hotel. We did go to the bar down in reception, and it was cozy and well-supplied. The people on staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was immaculate and comfortable. We were close to everything we wanted to see, and we were close to transportation. Any hotel that is cat-friendly, as this one is, is tops.

We could have stayed longer and spent more time in the lounge. Seriously. These were the only flaws in our visit.

Due to the central location and the two hospitals nearby it can get quite noisy in the evening. The AC was very loud when put on higher speed. There were no adapters for the electric sockets and no USB outlets. Bottles of water were complementary supplied only on arrival.

We loved our stay at the Morton Hotel. The location is amazing for both walking to theatres/popular areas and offers great bus/tube options. The room was very nice, clean and quiet. This must be one of the quietest hotels we've ever stayed even though it was a full house. The coffee/tea/biscuits daily replenished was much appreciated. We would stay at the Morton Hotel again for sure!

The hotel does not have the usual lobby/reception area. Once we checked in, we haven't been to the reception area for rest of our 5 day stay which is not a bad thing at all. My kid loved having the room card open the hotel doors :) It's just not the usual hotel feel you get with a proper lobby. Again, we did not mind it one bit.

Always a pleasure to stay at the Morton Hotel. Ideally situated in Bloomsbury, close to parks, transport and shopping and with friendly and professional staff. Rooms with kitchenette are ideal for self-catering.

The ability to open the bedroom windows has been removed over time - whilst there are understandable reasons for this, it can make regulating the room temperature in warmer conditions more challenging.

Pleasant staff, very responsive when approached on any issue. Rooms well kept, as well as the hallways and other common areas. Practical bathroom arrangement with easy to reach hot-rack for drying towels; carefully executed floor inclination for the walk-in shower, insuring no water escapes the drain. Hot water coming on in seconds. Not much street noise penetrating the double windows on the fourth floor (apart from the occasional sirens).

Cleaning lady disposing off a full bottle of water which was deposited on the floor, next to the bed. Bathroom door latch would not catch, so the door would only be securely closed if the lock was used.
