1- location: proximity to highway to Banff and ahead, various restaurants, c-stores, etc. 2- View, however, most of Canmore is surrounded by gifted beauty. 3- On-site parking, some of it covered. 4- reception area is cozy.

1- No breakfast included, although room price was steep. 2- one elevator. Gets busy and time-consuming. 3- reception staff are kind of robotic and non welcoming, however professional. Need some hospitability training. 4- Room's decor is a bit dated. Need sprucing. 5- Reception offerings(coffee, etc) can be improved. The hotel isn't cheap! 6- Expensive for value given.

Very spacious room with a living room, kitchen area and big bedroom. Cute little pool and an outdoor hot tub which were well maintained and open from 5AM to 11 PM. The fitness room was well equipped and also opened at 5 AM. Staff were excellent, very helpful and accommodating. Nice mountain view and located close to downtown ( 5 min drive) Very reasonable price for the location and amenities.

Maybe an extra elevator as the configuration of the hotel required some elevator use and it was pretty slow. They were very welcoming of my dog but I didn't see a designated outside space for pets. The prices in the restaurant were a bit steep ( e.g. 4.25 for a coffee)

great location, clean, and absolutely loved the pool, outdoor hot tub, and sauna.

I was happy with everything.

The property is located in Banff and the room we had included 2 queen beds, with a small sitting room. The sitting room included its own TV, with tea/coffee making facilities, a small sofa, table, fridge/freezer and a microwave. We were travelling with another family so were able to hang out together and have dinner together. There is free wifi which we didn't use. The AC in the room worked fine. The staff were helpful and friendly.

The breakfast experience was very different from the hotel itself. We went for breakfast at the Chez Francois, right next to the hotel (it provides breakfast for hotel guests). Initially, the staff told us that there were no spaces and that we would have to wait for 45 minutes. We headed back and realised that the restaurant was only 50% occupied. We went back and asked to speak to the manager and the tables were immediately made available. The food was mediocre, and expensive. The service wasn't very impressive either and they added 18% tip automatically.

The location was pretty good. Quick access to the highway heading north. The front desk staff are very helpful. One front desk person was really very pleasant to talk with - I think Annie was her name if I remember correctly. She seemed the ideal person for customer relations. Also nice that there is a gas station (Shell) beside the hotel. Very near some fast-food joints as well and a few restaurants if you need a quick trip for a bite.

No air coming out of the wall AC unit. I had to open the one operable window all the time. I called the matter in to the front desk and the person told me to make sure the unit is plugged in and turned on. It was plugged and was on (green light on plug) but still no air. No thermostat in the room too. There were a couple of days where I felt it was too warm and a bit uncomfortable in the room. Luckily I was out a lot during the day hiking in a lot of places. Parking spaces were also a bit too narrow. Hard to get in and out of the vehicle when both sides are parked.

Having a separate door to the bedroom and being able to have a a living room isolated allowed us to put our baby to sleep and still stay up during the evening/night. Very convenient. Staff were very friendly. A 10% discount to the restaurant was a pleasant surprise. The sauna was great. Facility was clean. Gym appeared to have a wide variety of equipment.

The pool was quite cold compared to the advertised 28 C. It was -15 C outside so cold air was likely getting in and cooling the water down. A downfall of the location of the indoor pool. The television was not working and couldn't be used. A big downfall of our one night stay.

Nice decor and layout of the building and room, staff were lovely and helpful, pet friendly, location is nice if you want to be on the outskirts without having to deal with the business of the town center and have easy access to the legacy trail. Good kitchenette with fridge and microwave. Comfortable beds. Discounted delicious breakfast at the restaurant next door. Lots of good facilities, including pool, hot tub, sauna and fitness center.

The pull-out sofa bed was uncomfortable, you could feel the springs and it was quite noisy when moving around. The bar of soap was poor quality, fell apart into pieces while showering. Quite expensive for one night stay, especially for the overall quality.

Elevator was slow and irritating.

Hotel staff went above and beyond to accommodate us with a late check out, as I have MS and cancer and mornings are very hard for me some mornings. The staff also was so polite and pleasant and very lovely to talk to. I also loved the hot tub, and the fireplace in the hotel. It was roomy in our room for my best friend and I. There was enough space for both of us to get ready at the same time. And with my equipment I need, we had plenty of space.

Hmmm, maybe update the place a little?? Maybe a coat of paint or change of flooring?? Otherwise, I honestly can't think of anything else

Our room had a door separating the bedroom area from the bathroom and small sitting room, great when people are awake at different times. Even though it wasn't fireplace season, the stone fireplace in our top floor room gave it a nice feel.

We could hear a baby crying through the wall. Fortunately it didn't carry on through the night or it would have been very difficult to ignore. As this seemed to be a pet friendly hotel, it would be good to know that in advance in order to find out if there are rooms where pets are not allowed due to the number of people with allergies (like myself). The shower had some mildew in the tile grout near the bottom.
