The room was nice and big and the bed was very comfortable. The bed chesterfield in our room was very comfortable as a couch. Parking was easy. Being so near the park and downtown and being able to walk to a grocery and drug store added to the positive experience.

1. We would have preferred "medium roast" coffee. 2. As we are elderly (68+) we would have preferred an old fashioned restaurant, or at least some senior options: for breakfast, eg. Pork sausages and eggs; for lunch, soup and sandwiches, Nothing fancy, just plain menu items. 3. We did not try the chairs in the foyer, but the couch in front of the elevator would have been better suited to seniors had it had arms and been a little higher. Seniors cannot easily get up and down from low chairs (where the seat is lower than the knees) and require arms to assist in getting up.

We loved the Sandman Signature in Kamloops! The location was excellent, it was so close to the park, the view was spectacular (get Parkside View rooms!), and the beds were really comfortable. We also loved the pool, hot tub, and the lounge area that overlooks the park. The doors could be opened to the outside lounge area from the indoor pool so we were able to hear the nightly concerts. The lounge area had music playing, there were comfortable chairs and loungers and it was a great area to relax and people watch or watch the kids in the pool. I loved that the pool was open at 7:00am and closed late at 11:00pm. The gym was really well equipped and had multiple TV's. We had a suite with a kitchen which came with a dishwasher which was an awesome feature. There was an air conditioner in the living room as well as the bedroom which was great since my kid gets cold at night and I run hot. The beds were very comfortable and the pull out sofa was great for my child. They said it was very comfortable too. The restaurants attached were convenient and they had pretty good coffee in the lobby. The staff were all really helpful and friendly. We loved the park across the street with so many things to do for the kids. The waterpark has to be the best one we've ever been to and the river swimming area was great too. Nice sandy beach and roped off area but still be very cautious as the current is strong and there are no lifeguards on duty.

No one told us that the whole building rumbles when the trains go by (which is dozens of times of day and night) so I woke up thinking we were experiencing an earth quake. The rooms on the park side were great for sound proofing so you really couldn't hear the trains at all but the whole bed shook when they went by. After figuring out it was just a train, I was able to get back to sleep and from that point on the shaking didn't wake me up or bother me at all.

This hotel room had a kitchen with a fridge, freezer, coffee maker and a microwave. My room had a tv/living room area, seperate bedroom/ tv, and bathroom was spacious and very comfortable and impressive holding everything I needed. Having Moxies, Shark Club and Starbucks nearby were all utilized. The Indoor pool, hot tub was beautiful! Excellent location close to walk to downtown and beautiful Riverside Park.

I didn’t realize they don’t clean your room unless you choose one of two options for cleaning, and put a sign on your door. So I didn’t have a freshly made bed, clean towels, or any coffee the next day. I just wish I knew this ahead of time. Not the hotels fault, but I also wait 20 minutes for 2 trains to cross the tracks as it’s located right beside them.

The bed was so comfy! The location, right by the Riverside Park made for a perfect evening as we headed there after dinner to listen to live music at the bandshell and then we had a most pleasant stroll by the river which included taking in a glorious sunset. Having Moxie's Restaurant adjacent to the hotel turned out to be both convenient and an excellent meal. We were only there for one night so didn't use the pool or hot tub but will try them out next time we are in Kamloops.

Can't think of a thing!

We were given an upgraded room facing the river that was very nice and we really appreciated this - we booked the Sandman after we had enjoyed staying overnight there on the way to Banff, organised by Rocky Mountaineer. Unfortunately, this helpful and proactive staff member wasn't on duty again to assist when we needed advice.

Restaurant on site was limited, service very slow for dinner, and worse still, didn't serve breakfast. We were not aware of this when we booked as we didn't need breakfast on the first stay. Regarding breakfast, the staff member on the front desk from whom we asked for help gave us no options or clarity, and didn't seem to care, :-( We ended up going to the Hotel we had initially booked a 10 min walk away where we had a lovely breakfast and received great service.

This is a very comfortable hotel and worked well for a mid-journey stop for us. Nice having a couple of restaurant options on the property. Also, nice location for going for a walk in the nearby park or easy access to downtown Kamloops.

Unfortunately this hotel is located right beside a very busy train track. Our room was on the side of the tracks and I couldn't believe how often trains were going by and all night - felt non-stop - there was so much noise and we could even feel the vibrations in our bed! Too bad because we loved everything else about this hotel.

The pool was great especially because it was so hot outside (heat warnings in place) so it was a great edition to entertain the children. Staff were friendly and lovely and there is an ice cream store next door which was amazing.

Our room was on the same level of the car park so not only was it noisy from the freight trains, we also had noise from the cars which was not ideal with two small children so if you are a light sleeper yourself or some one in your family is I would probably pick a different location.

It was a nice compact suite with a kind size bed and room darkening shades, This was a nice, clean, comfortable stay with a booking.com sale/discount from the regular $400.00+/night regular pricing.

With there being a Moxie's Restaurant, Shark Club Sports Bar, meeting facilities/venue, there is someone actively scanning vehicles for valid parking. If you are in a lineup for checking in, you could find yourself with a parking ticket before the hotel can register your license plate # (as explained by front desk staff). My husband found the pillows too high so did not get a comfortable sleep. Also, for a high end hotel, I expected the room to be perfect....there was chipped paint on the base board trim in the bathroom that needed a coat of paint.

Staff were great. Room was very comfortable if a little noisy because of proximity to rail line. Wouldn’t put me off though. Restaurants on site were excellent as were the staff.

The train noise was a little off putting to n the middle of the night but the staff at check in warned me about it. It didn’t disturb me as much as the the lorry driver who parked his U-Haul truck outside and kept the engine running!

This was just a pitstop for us on a larger roadtrip. I picked a place in the middle of Banff and Vancouver and filtered to hotels that had suites. That was it, what we got was so much more. This was an amazing little place. The hotel was outstanding, the room was by far one of the best we had during our whole holiday and the location was amazing. The small park across the road was amazing. We were gutted we had to leave this place. We will be back for sure.

Genuinely nothing bad to say. Kamloops itself and this hotel went so much further that what we had expected. If I have to be very very very picky to find something bad... the TV was set too high on the wall in the living room. That's it.
