I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Pantages Hotel in downtown Toronto, and it was truly an exceptional experience. The hotel’s location is unbeatable, with easy access to major attractions like the Toronto Eaton Centre. The staff, including Colene and Mike, who were incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed with modern amenities. Overall, the Pantages Hotel offers a perfect blend of convenience, comfort, and sophistication, making it an ideal choice for anyone visiting Toronto.

From the first minute we entered this hotel, we loved it. Our warm welcome from Pella at the front desk was incredibly genuine and friendly and helpful. She was almost the best part of our stay! Incredibly, Pella chose to upgrade us to an amazing suite, and it was beyond beautiful and comfortable. Pella also recommended a breakfast location (Fran's) and it was great as well. I did see into a regular king-room (what we had originally booked) and it looked excellent too. Bright and roomy. The location of this hotel is absolutely perfect ...close to Yonge street and all its activity and food and fun...but quiet. I can't imagine staying anywhere else when we visit Toronto. We travel all over the world and stay in various types of accommodation -- this is special. Loved it here ... recommend it highly.

I wish we could have stayed longer!

Extremely well located in the Downtown, close to any commodity and very close to the start line of Toronto's Marathon. The Eaton Center (huge shopping mall is just besides). The suite was very big with a separate living room: it had a kitchen, a big bathroom and a washing machine. Staff was warm and welcoming. In addition, it was very well isolated and quiet.

The Kitchen kit would deserve to be more complete, with more utensils to cook: it was very basic (one pan and one pot). It would be nice to leave in the kitchen basic things such as oil, salt and pepper. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

The hotel provided a great experience. The check-in process was easy, very friendly and helpful staff. The security of the hotel was appreciated as you need a key card to access your floor and to get back inside the hotel after certain hours. There was entertainment at the bar with a wonderful person playing piano and lovely singing. The gentlemen serving at the bar were so kind. The room had everything you needed and then some. Location is within walking distance of the Dundas Square, lots of food places nearby.

The bed was the best part of my stay; super comfortable. Also really liked the spacial layout of the room. Location was the second best. We had Frans 24h restaurant right next door, a mall behind, and an open til midnight Shoppers drug mart for any additional supplies and snacks to bring back to our room.

There isn't much sound proofing between the rooms if guest have small children, but I think the only drawback I felt from my stay was the one side view of my window was in direct line of sight with the tenants next door. We had to be mindful whenever the curtains were open.

Nice room Well appointed Reasonable location

The breakfast was reasonable. Staff were not well trained on one day in that a glass of milk was requested, and the staff brought a tiny pitcher of milk. Realized the error and then brought a tea cup when what requested was a glass of milk. Didn’t know how to charge for a side of eggs despite that breakfast was included.

The location is amazing and you are right in the heart of it with most things within a 30min walk, it is also right next to the metro if you don't fancy walking. The reception staff are really helpful and very accommodating - nothing seemed to be too big of a job. The room itself was really spacious and clean with a good size bathroom, NB there isn't a bath and the pressure was a little low up on the 14th floor. There is also a diner next door called Fran's which was amazing, good choice of food and really great staff.

The noise from the street could be fairly loud but not constant. The worst part I would say is the breakfast. It is a set menu and if you aren't into fried and super sweet it doesn't give you much choice.

I really enjoyed the room! It was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable.

There was a fire alarm at about midnight, which turned out to be a false alarm. However, during the event, the staff didn’t communicate with the guests, so we all gathered in the lobby. In the event of a real emergency this lack of communication could have proved fatal. Also, when asking the staff where the stairs were when the alarm was lifted, one of them just said “stairs?” to there coworker and never replied us. When we found them, many floors were locked, which again, would have been fatal if firemen were to rescue guests or have to go to specific floors. It’s a great hotel, but the staff, or at least part of it, seems poorly trained.

Staff were fantastic… room was exceptional.

The only negative thing was a single all genders washroom in the restaurant. When a woman comes out of a stall, it is disturbing and potentially dangerous to have a man standing there at the sinks, blocking the narrow passage to the restroom exit door. Especially in the evening when the restaurant is sparsely occupied. What is likely an attempt at accommodation for some, puts half the population at greater risk. Two (or three) washrooms is safer for female clientele. Always let someone know if you are using this restroom, or go accompanied.

The room was a good size, clean, and staff were friendly. The breakfast was FANTASTIC! Our room had a washer and dryer--loved this!

It's a good location, but not a fabulous location (as far as walk-ability). The subway is pretty close, so that helped, but the subway is limited. Pantages is located 1.5 miles away from the waterfront. We walked most of the time, but it would be too far for someone with a disability, the elderly, or not physically fit.
