On arrival, Marie-Claire, the attendant on the front desk did everything she could to accommodate our large group quickly and efficiently. She was able to offer an earlier check-in time which we were super grateful for after long-haul international flights, as well as accessible bathroom options for some of the mobility-challenged members in our group. The breakfast was lavish and had everything you could want, there were even multiple GF bread options which was surprising and appreciated. And we only had a few hundred metres to walk to our train platform in the morning for onward travel.

The was construction happening outside our window so a little noisy in the early hours of the morning.

Great location for 1 night stopover and change for Gard du Nord as bus stop very short distance away

On arrival had to wait to be checked in. No one on desk for at least 15 minutes there was only one other person in front of me initially so not just had a coach load through.Appeared to be only 2 people on desk. Also bought a drink at the bar that was empty, was told it would be brought to me. After 10 mins a girl appeared and asked us what we would like to drink. Explained we had already ordered and paid. Then took another wait to get the paid for drinks.

This is a great hotel offering comfortable facilities and services. In particular, the receptionist, Rafael, is very competent and and friendly. He responded promptly to our requests and explained exactly what we needed to do when we had questions. I am very grateful to him for making my stay so pleasant. The rooms and the entire hotel is clean and modern. Many of the rooms have bathtubs, perfect for relaxing after a long trip, and the amenities are perfect. The hotel is conveniently located whether you are using Gare de Lyon as a base to travel to another city or to explore central Paris.

The staff, specially Elisangela from reception desk, was extremely nice and very helpful. The hotel is clean, value for money and very convenient for a short weekend in Paris when traveling from abroad in the TGV via train Also they offered me voucher drinks that was a very nice touch

The area, although being very convenient logistically when traveling from GVA for a short weekend since is just 2 min away from the train station (TGV stop), it felt a bit unsafe due to the kind of people that is walking about the area

As I am often in the situation of having to take a TGV home to the South early in the morning, after a business stay in Paris region, Mercure Paris Gare de Lyon is always like coming home. Its unique location, right next to the Gare de Lyon, ensures that nothing can go wrong between getting up, having breakfast and catching the train. Moreover, rooms are small but comfortable, and breakfast is hearty. The hotel doesn't have a dinner restaurant but that is not a concern : the Gare de Lyon station square is surrounded by plenty of decent restaurants.

The only thing that could be better is the price. The hotel's unique location has a price ticket.

Perfect location, next to train station. Easy access. Clean and modern.

The hotel mention airconditioning, but when we get there, they said no aircon, because it was Spring and it will be cold enough at night. Coming from tropical Asia, we demanded aircon. The room has window that can be opened, but it was covered with white paper because there's construction outside. Again, we complaint. After a few arguments the lady in the receptionist offered a higher bedroom upgraded to double room so we can open our window. And it was okay for us. They accommodate our request very well.

The room was beautiful and gave a good view of the street. Its incorporation into the Gare de Lyon made it very convenient to catch a TGV train to Switzerland the following day. The breakfast was very good.

The only problem I had was an odd sound that repeated every few minutes (less during the night) that sounded like a metal chair being pulled across a concrete floor or like a message alert on a cell phone set to vibrate on a hard surface. Eventually I got used to it.

Location is perfect for using the metro, trains etc. staff were very friendly and kind. They welcomed myself and my son with much warmth and care. Free mini bar in our room with a selection of soft drinks, was grateful to have as the weather was hot

Strange smell, could’ve done with some decent air conditioning as it was very hot. I did notice some stains on the bathroom walls that looked a bit suspect.

The cleanliness of the hotel is very good. But the room space is very small as in very small that you can’t event moved already. The location is very accessible for everything. Before we reach in Paris we had a plan to take bus on and bus off but when we get there we changed because it’s all accessible metro to metro and from metro to your destination is just walking distance.

Location awesome for connecting TGV

It was critical to be able to store the suitcases to the TGV departure on check out date, check in staff said no problem and morning staff said we could not unless we were members. In the end all was fine but it caused some unnecessary discomfort (we attended an Olympic event last day and the secure storage of bags in the day was the most important, we picked the hotel for this). I have stayed with the hotel before and never heard anything like this (in any hotel in the world)
