This is our second time staying here. I chose a 20 square meter twin room, which was much more spacious and affordable compared to other hotels in Tokyo with similar room sizes. The location is very convenient, with easy access to JR, Tokyo Metro, and Shinkansen lines. The room was well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. We stayed for 8 nights and had the room cleaned twice for free, which was sufficient for us. There's a coin-operated laundry room nearby, which was very cheap and quick. Although thicker fabrics might take a few rounds in the dryer, it wasn't a problem as each drying cycle was only 100 yen for 15 minutes. We also stored our luggage a day before check-in as we had to travel to another city first. The staff was very accommodating. We will definitely choose to stay here again on our next trip to Tokyo.

Ueno is a quite, residential neighbourhood, which is nice to come back to after dipping into the busy parts of Tokyo. Close to convenience stores, two train stations, and an easy walk to restaurants, shops, and Kappabashi street. Also a lovely, local sento just around the corner. The room was well equipped with space for the three of us (and our shopping!) The staff were lovely, very helpful and spoke English. There's a laundry on-site. Great choice for our 7 night stay. Would have loved a few more coat-hangers

The staffs, they are all very friendly and helpful and knowledgeable. The location was great too, not too far from the train stations. Easy to go to anywhere incl the Narita airport. Lits of convenient stores and supermarket and restaurants near by. The hotel also does the luggage forwarding.

We booked the room at the wrong time i.e. when the price was high. On the days we stayed, it was cheaper almost by half. The bath room was a bit small, not suitable for bigger size people.

We stayed here for our last night in Tokyo because it is close to a train station (Ueno) to get to the airport. Having said that, we did get lost at the station but that is our fault and Mr Google Maps, too. We also wanted to do last minute shopping and this area is great for that. You can get around easily to other area of Tokyo from this hotel and there are places to eat within walking distance. The hotel is fine for a short stay.

The staffs are so friendly and helpful also fast response, especially for Takeda Umi and Ruchini very helpful during our stay at the hotel. It is nearby the Ueno Station and Inaricho station at the corner, convenience store are everywhere so easy to find something you need especially for food and drinks. This is one good choice hotel in UENO. The hotel gave me a good travel experience. Well located where you can easily access JR or subway. Most of the receptionists have a good service mind. They can answer your questions and let you know clearly any doubts you may have. The rooms are tidy and suitable for your busy tour schedule. Just in case you want to sleep and put away your shopping bags.

Some receptionist made me confused about laundry room and she treat me same as a non customer.

Location. Decent room size for budget hotel. Staff very helpful. Happily store luggage on check out for collection later that day.

Some of the decor is a little old, but positives of room size, location etc outweigh this.

Room is big! Very near to various restaurants and convenience stores such as Sukiya, Mcdonalds, Yoshinoya, Lawson, 711 and a 24hr grocery 2 blocks away. Near Ameyoko market. Few steps away from Inaricho subway station, Hibiya and Ginza line. There is free coffee, tea, toiletries, and towels.

Just a bit far from Ueno JR station and Keisei Skyliner but manageable since its nice to walk around the clean and quiet neighborhood.

8 mins walk from Ueno station. The room is clean, not big but not too small. There is a kitchen in the room which you can borrow stuff from staff to cook. Very helpful staff.

The smoking area is right under our room so sometimes we can hear guest talking loudly at night.
