We felt very welcomed by the friendly, thoughtful, and helpful staff here at the MONDay Apart in Ueno. The room had plenty of space for our family of four with all the amenities we needed. Kids loved the bunk beds! We were surprised with a bonus view of the Tokyo Sky Tree! Staff were incredibly helpful and kind, assisting us to arrange taxis and luggage delivery, saving us the hassle dragging suitcases to the airport so we can just pick them up there. Ueno is a great place to stay with attractions nearby and close to the train station and Kombini. I hope the MONday Apart Premium Ueno will have availability next time we visit Tokyo.

The location is absolutely unbeatable – just a short walk from Ueno Station's Iriya exit, making it incredibly easy to navigate Tokyo's extensive rail network and explore the city's attractions. The property truly shines when it comes to cleanliness, maintaining the high standards that Japan is famous for. Every corner of my room was impeccably maintained, from the spotless bathroom to the fresh bedding. The room itself was thoughtfully organized with clever storage solutions that made excellent use of the space – a particularly appreciated feature in Tokyo accommodations. One of the biggest highlights was the exceptional staff. Despite my limited Japanese, the front desk team went above and beyond to ensure my comfort, offering helpful recommendations and assistance with navigating the neighborhood. Their warm smiles and attentive service made me feel truly welcomed throughout my stay. The surrounding area is a treasure trove of conveniences. Within a few minutes' walk, I found multiple convenience stores (including 7-Eleven and Family Mart), local restaurants serving delicious Japanese cuisine, and several coffee shops. The proximity to Ueno Park was an unexpected bonus, perfect for morning walks and experiencing seasonal festivities. The room itself was a model of efficiency and comfort. The air conditioning worked perfectly, the WiFi was consistently fast, and the bed provided excellent support after long days of exploring. The bathroom, though compact, was well-designed with great water pressure and always-reliable hot water.

Great hotel close to Ueno Park and zoo. Easy to get to on the skyline train from Narita airport - took 40 minutes. Bigger hotel room than usual in Japan and perfect for our family of four, two adults and 6 & 7 year old.. The hotel is a sh9rt walk from the Yamanote line (circle line) so easy to get to all locations around the city. Train to Disney took 40 minutes. Such a bonus to have the a washing machine in the room and to have a kitchen. Lovely gift for the children when we checked in.

The dryer function on the washing machine was hard to figure out and didn't dry very well.

Quiet place but yet very accessible, 10-15 mins walk to JR Ueno station or Keisei Ueno Station. Easily 2 convenience stores nearby (1-3 mins walk away) or more if one is willing to walk a bit more and bigger size convenience stores nearby too. Cafes/restaurants can be found easily around the hotel. There's even a small yakitori store at the corner of the hotel and Domino's Pizza nearby too if any late cravings. Easy walk to Ueno Park, Zoo, Museum etc & shopping street (Ameyoko).

Stayed for 3 nights with a toddler We got the city view suite room BECAUSE we were traveling with a kid and wanted a bedroom that could be closed off. The room was huge, with plenty of space for our toddler to relax. Loved that the bathroom was spacious and everything was clean. Lots of space in the mini fridge and the toaster was perfect for heating up a quick breakfast. Washer/dryer combo was a plus too. The location was decent, steps away from a 7-11 and Lawson's. I loved that it was in a quieter section of Ueno, but close to Ueno park and Kappabashi street. We could walk to the Rox area and Don Quijote. Staff was kind, and helped us with storing our bags before a for a little bit after our check out.

There is a light motion sensor in the hallway that we couldn't figure out how to turn off, so if you wanted to leave the bedroom at night the hallway light turned out automatically.

Excellent location: close to shops & transit, but on a quieter street. Smaller unit but with lots of drawers/hooks/shelves for storage while in residence. Larger refrigerator & freezer, with a rice cooker & chopsticks for when you want to eat in. Spotlessly clean, with helpful staff.

Could use another rail/hook in the kitchen for a towel (to maximize sink usage for a family of three). The manual was a little confusing when operating the laundry machine.

The location was a simple 6-8 minute walk from Uneo station (once we worked out what exit to use!) through quiet, safe feeling streets. Despite being on a main road the room was quiet and there was zero issue with traffic or neighbourhood noise. The room was well equipped with a washer/dryer, shower room, kitchen (including toaster, microwave and full sized fridge/freezer) and everything was well explained and easy to use/access. There was also a view of the SkyTree from our doorway and the receptionist provided us with umbrellas to use on a rainy day - much appreciated. There is a small 7Eleven, and a Lawson very close by (same block).

We would have liked another couple of chairs with the dining table - travelling with two children we used the table a lot and had to unmake the sofa bed each day to use it (uncomfortably, as it was so low) with the table. Otherwise the room was as described and exactly what we needed and expected for the price we paid so we have no complaints.

The staff were very helpful and kind. The room was large by Tokyo standards. The beds were comfortable but quite firm. The kids stayed on the bunk beds and had no complaints. The room had everything we would have needed to cook a meal if we had wanted (we didn’t). The water in the bathroom was plenty hot with good water pressure. The shower was large and there was a a bathtub that was small by American standards but large enough if needed. Overall we were very pleased.

It was very hard to get the combination washer/dryer to spin so it often took several (4-6) hours to dry a load. Combined with it being quite small we were not able to get as much laundry washed as we had planned to continue our trip.

Good place for a family, complete amenities from kitchenware, to laundry and toiletries all provided. The 7/11 is a few steps away!

For non walkers, the train station is around 15 -20 mins for slowpokes around 900 meters. Its ok getting out, but after a long day of touring the city, it becomes difficult getting back to the hotel.
