Perfect Check In, Great Staff, catered to us on our honeymoon and wife's 50th birthday with bottle of wine and awesome towel sculpture of swans kissing. The most awesome sunset from the balcony, and brilliant ocean view from the suite. The absolute BEST beach on Playa Norte Many repeat visitors who were outstandingly friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to book again next year and become part of the 'May Crew's and see new friends again. Perfectly located just North of Hildago for shopping/eating, and close enough to experience everything else. Loved walking around the district, and there is golf cart rental right outside for exploring the rest of the island. We stayed 12 days, and it was simply a slice of heaven. While I'd like to check out a few other locations, but I'm sure it would be hard to match Ixchel as a total package

Can't think of much it was lacking, that I found out later was available, just had to ask (laundry service), also found out a few websites that would have made booking excursions and take out easier right from the hotel

We really liked location (Playa Norte), friendly staff, good food. Martha at the front desk was a joy to talk to. Ixchel is lucky to have her. Overall we had a wonderful experience. I have met a hotel manager and he was very pleasant. Beach staff and were wonderful. Big shout out to our housekeeper Laura. She made our room spotless every single day. Hotel has their own umbrellas, chairs and restaurant service reserved for hotel guests only. Overall we had a wonderful stay.

I can’t really think of what I haven’t like. Maybe one thing would be that hotel has two buildings. It’s the same hotel however one looks more luxurious than the other one which was little confusing. In my opinion they should be more unified in their appearance. Beach chairs are spaced very close to each other, little more space would be ideal but I don’t think it is possible.

The hotel is on the most gorgeous beach I've ever seen. The downtown area is just outside your door and all the restaurants were amazing. A/C in our room was nice and cold. The beach servers were outstanding.

Our room location was not disclosed until arrival. I really wanted a room with a nice ocean view (our room type was ocean view) since it was my husbands birthday and we love sitting on the balcony enjoying a view. We got a ground floor room with the patio right next to the restaurant so it was incredibly awkward to sit there. The freezer was rusted shut. The beds were very hard and my back was sore the whole time. They ask you not to "reserve" beach chairs but guests did it anyways and even though we came out early, we never got chairs in the front row.

I love this place. It makes my entire vacation. Everything about it is first class. I have stayed here at least 6 times and am looking forward to my next t stay

The hotel is perfect in the most central location. The rooms are spacious and stunning, the most beautiful and clean beach, clear turquoise sea. The service is amazing. They upgraded us to connecting family rooms in a beautiful suite with a kitchen. Everything we asked for was immediately helped with a smile. There are games for children on the beach and in the pool and inflatables for the sea. The hotel is most recommended for families. Wow!!!

We loved everything. Everything was perfect. If breakfast was included it would have been better.

Loved being right on the beach and having the free access to loungers and umbrellas. The staff look after you really well on the beach.

There was a huge amount of noise from fellow guests around us, at times it was quite alarming and sounded violent. Luck of the draw who you're sleeping next to, but the hotel didn't handle the situation very well. It was hard to get in touch with reception and when we did, they said they had checked all the other guests around us and nobody heard anything, which was impossible because it was such a huge commotion and somebody was running down our corridor knocking on doors frantically, while someone else was screaming for help. All somewhat disturbing for two solo female travellers.

The view was fantastic, the beach is wonderful, calm, clear, incredible. The room was spacious, the beds were comfortable, it had everything we needed. The restaurant of the hotel has the best meals in the area, we tried other establishments but they were not worth the value. I did not try the pool, so I cannot comment. We went walking from the port, it is not very far and is very safe.

Meal and drink prices are a bit high, especially if you don't get paid in dollars. The view is beautiful, but the room I stayed in did not have a view, it faced the buildings and the window did not open. The restaurants and bars at the beach have loud music, but it is not the hotel's fault, since it is a public beach.

Location, Location, Location! The hotel is right on North Beach, one of the best beaches in the world. Just walk out and you are there. It is also just steps away from the myriad of restaurants and bars on Miguel Hidalgo. Beds were extremely comfortable. The suite was not available, but the standard room on the ground floor was just fine with easy access to the pool, pool bar, and beach.

The shower did not have the hottest water, but it was ok and the drinks are a bit expensive, but nothing major. I will stay here anytime I'm in Isla Mujeres.

Staff was very nice, younger staff not as confident in their knowledge. Great housekeeping crew!!! Pool area was very nice and restaurant was fantastic and convenient!

Porch outside of room was small and daily covered with pigeon poo. Perhaps, a plexiglass rooftop cover on the porch would prevent the bird droppings. Couldn't use the porch there. Last night there, couple fighting heard EVERYWHERE! Staff could have intervened to consider other guests.

I absolutely loved the location, it was right in the middle of everything, which made it super easy to walk to restaurants and shops It felt so convenient and safe, especially at night. The staff was another highlight! Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful (especially Aida, she was wonderful). The room was also clean, cozy, and quiet—just what I needed for a relaxing stay.
