Very spacious facilities and comfortable and clean in all areas. Staff all friendly and efficient especially Jackie in the bar who was very helpful when we were ordering our dinner as we had to eat earlier than expected.

We were attending an event at the venue and it seemed a bit strange that although there was a bar area they did not seem to have any wine or glasses for that matter. Might have been something to do with the organisers of the event but just seemed odd that we had to go round to the main bar to get drinks. Also there was not enough milk left in the room for a hot drink in the evening and again if we wanted one in the morning (only 2 sachets) which we didn't realise until late on returning to our room.

Rooms clean and everything worked. Kettle (although just 2 tea bags, 2 tubes if milk and 3 instant coffee tubes), iron + board and hairdryer in the room. Breakfast offered quite a good range. Staff very good - cheerful and helpful.

Noisy aircon fan and the temperature setting didn't seem to make much difference. Turned it off (28°C outside) then got too hot so turned it on again and suffered the incessant ticking noise. No fresh fruit available for breakfast - just bananas and mixed fruit (from frozen) compote.

Ideal location with supermarkets in walking distance nearby for anything you may have forgetting during your trip. (Although HI do offer free essentials at the reception if required) Reception & dining area very aesthetic with a nice welcoming atmosphere, however you would think the bedrooms were of a different hotel. Quite dated and not very modern to match the other parts of the hotel. Although everything was clean so cannot complain. Bedrooms had luggage rack, wardrobe & tea/coffee facilities. Good working wifi & TV to cast. The breakfast was 10/10, fresh and large variety available. Plenty of dining space with a pram. Parking cost is £10 per 24hrs.

Bedrooms quite dated and not very modern to match the other parts of the hotel. Although everything was clean so cannot complain. Bed was a small double, so a bit of a squeeze.

Nothing to dislike about the building to be honest only thing that I would have liked is a bigger bed they are small doubles and being used to a super king it felt like sharing a single bed but it’s only a short stay do not the end of the world

First room was not what we asked for so staff did change our room into a slightly better one big enough bathroom good lighting not so good but ok

lighting and another comfy chair not just one Also when we arrived asked reception why you had to get a ticket to lift barrier to get into car park 3 days we were they for a family baptism on day of leaving we had to pay for three days parking which is very unacceptable especially when asked about the ticket only bad thing as have stayed there before and that did not happen so unfortunately we will not stay again a big hotel charging for parking very upset

It was all really good, apart from when we went for breakfast, the young lady told us that we had only paid for one breakfast, so another lady come along and asked if everything was okay, the lady that was surviving me said that it was showing up that I had only paid for one breakfast, I was just trying to find my email and the lady that come along said that ok don’t worry the other people had probably got it wrong. When we checked in we was served my Martina and she was absolutely lovely, polite, friendly , helpful and cheerful.x

On arrival we were welcomed and booked in by Martine, she was friendly and professional and answered any of our questions. We needed a taxi for later on that evening, Martine sorted that out. Our room was very clean and had everything we needed. We didn't have an evening meal at the hotel but saw other residents eating and their meals looked lovely. We had breakfast on the morning of leaving and it was fabulous with such a choice of hot & cold food. It was a very nice experience staying here and will definitely book again next time we come to Coventry. Thank you to all the lovely staff for making our stay very pleasant.

There wasn't anything we didn't like

Both the room and foyer were clean and modern. Rooms are air conditioned which worked really well, nice and cool all night long.

I personally didn't find the bed very comfortable and had a broken night's sleep because of it... Mattress was a little too firm for my liking, 2 pillows was too high, 1 pillow was too low, again this is purely personal preference. The bed however was clean and well made when we arrived.

Very convenient location for those passing through, with plenty of supermarkets and garages close by

Disappointed at the car parking charge. although the Booking.com website does indicate the parking is not free, the indication is a little obscure, and gives no idea of cost. I will definitely scrutinise this more carefully in future - my expectation is that hotels (especially those out of town) should provide free parking for guests.

Room was great, clean and well appointed. Even the loos in the bar area were well maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The young lady behind reception seemed genuinely interested in what my dog had won at Crufts, which was nice. The dressing gowns and slippers were a lovely touch. The addition of the dog waste bin was very welcome too.

The room was very warm, despite turning the radiator off and opening the only window which opened. This was a very small window at the top of the frame, so of very little use. I found the drinks extremely expensive in the bar too. Plus I object to having to pay parking when I have already paid quite a high price for my room.
