Location is 20 mins walk from the old district and the train stations. Breakfast was good (bread, yoghurts, fruit, cheese, meAt, salad, juice/tea/coffee). Access to a kitchen with fridge. Supermarket 2 mins walk away- also fast food and bistro options.Staff are bilingual (French/English) and friendly and helpful. Whole place is very clean.

Shower both in the room and on the bathroom on 4th floor puts out very small volume/flow of water- I was unable to properly wash my hair. Depending on who else is staying at the time can disrupt your sleep either in shared room or school trips with kids congregating in corridors yelling out to each other as happened one night ( the teacher sorted it around 11.30pm)

Clean, modern rooms. The staff was very helpful with solving problems.

Some other guests are very loud late at night and do not respect quiet hours.

We booked as a family of 6 for one night - to visit Lille and watch the Olympic basketball games. The property was easy to book, easy to find/access. The facilities were as it says on the box😊 The place is friendly and chilled. Metro and local super market within walking distance. Good Wi-Fi Loved Dorah - the lady made the stay and experience extra special. She stood out and was most helpful. Thank you.

It was a hot day and night- rooms were a bit stuffy even with the windows wide open. The breakfast was disappointing- options were limited and presentation could have been better.

Hi! I enjoyed my overall experience in the Auberge de jeunesse because it was super clean & new beds, cosy matelas, abordable price and included breakfast that was simple but fresh & filling (cereals, milk, jus, coffee, little ham&cheese, butter, bread). I would recommend this hotel for travellers who have a night in the city, as a group of friends you can rent a room with 4 beds or go for the women/men separate option.

The only minus, it was slightly noisy between 21-23:40 because some young adults made a karaoke nearby in the neighbour room, so the sound isolation was not able to block this noise. The second inconvenience is the early check out time (10 a.m.), so you can't stay longer to relax in the bed.

Great location and cheap! We could park outside the hotel for a parking fee after 9am. Free during the evening. It was perfect for a one night stay enroute to Germany from the UK. We stayed in a private 4 bedded room with our kids.

My fault but I wrongly assumed that there would be a toilet in the shower room but there isn’t and toilets are shared. Not a huge issue in the end as I managed ok 😊

Very good value.We had a four bed room for 2 adults and our 2 teenagers. Bunks. Shower and basin. WCs communal. Well organised hostel and handy location to access city centre on foot or by metro.

Unsurprisingly the hygiene in the communal kitchen was not great. Not really the fault of the staff, but some residents not cleaning up or washing up. Not a major issue though.

Less than 5 mins from the tube. Rooms are decent sized with lockers and en suite, we had a triple. The outside area, mini cafe etc are very good.. Price is a bargain. Better than many sub 100 Euro hotel rooms Staff excellent.

No air conditioning and no towels. Perhaps reasonable at this rock bottom price level i.e. less than£50 for a decent triple.

We had a great time in the hostel. The room and service exactly met our expectations, but we were surprised by the price even including the breakfast. The GF of the hostel is also a community center, there are activities every night, and people sing and dance together, we appreciate the active and international atmosphere over there. It's a great idea to encourage carbon-efficient trips in this way. I would love to visit it again.

The toilet is outside the room, but the shared toilets were very clean.

The breakfast was basic, but exceptional value for money. we were a family of four and although we didnt realise when we booked it was a youth hostel, we were pleasantly suprised. The staff were 10/10 and very accommodating. It isnt the Ritz, but for the price we paid, it was amazing...

only thing was no toilet in the room, but the communal wc was very clean and well maintained
