Great location in the middle of Avenue Jean Medicin. Many cafes and shops nearby, you can find almost everything. There's a huge Monoprix across the street so you can stock up on snacks. The hotel itself is a very nice one, with rooms that have space to comfortably pack and unpack your bags and move around. There's a coffee machine with very decent coffee (that surprised me a lot!) by Malongo. Two bottles of water are provided every day - and there's a fridge to keep your groceries. The shower is nice and spacious. I was happy to discover that the bed is very comfortable, which helped me get enough sleep. Also, the staff is helpful and eager to ensure a good stay for their guests.

This is not a 4* hotel but rather a very solid 3*. Also, I was given a room that faced the backyard and there was a huge air conditioner outside that worked 24/7 so the noise may be a bit of a problem.

I had a wonderful week at the Best Western Alba Hotel. The location is perfect—right in the center of town, with restaurants, shops, and major attractions like the Promenade des Anglais, Place Masséna, and Port Lympia all within easy walking distance. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly, welcoming, and always helpful. A great value for a comfortable and convenient stay in Nice!

The only downside was the very small elevator, which made carrying luggage a bit challenging. That said, overall it was a great stay and excellent value for money.

Petya & her team at the reception desk were amazing, and went above what could be expected, to help. Location is excellent, on the main street & just around the corner from the station, with supermarkets nearby. Breakfasts very nice.

I would have liked to have seen more "green" policies eg towels only being replaced if left on the floor in the shower. This happens in most other hotels I've stayed in. That would benefit both the hotel & the environment. Perhaps a container for recycling could be placed near the lift? There was an electrical socket near the mirror but it was hard to access as was obstructed by the bed. TV - I'd have liked more English language channels - there was only BBC World News Europe & Al Jazeera, & one radio channel (BBC World Service)

We arrived by train so it was only a five minute walk from the station to the hotel, in the heart of the downtown core. There's also a tram-stop just up the street so getting around on foot or by transit was great. Our room was on the back side of hotel; windows were double or triple glazed so construction nearby was only heard if the window was open. The gentleman at the front desk was very courteous and professional at check-in; he always said hello whenever we passed by. Our room was very spacious and clean with modern decor; the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom facilities were excellent. The coffee maker and the fridge in the room were appreciated. The elevator was quick but we often took the stairs down. We appreciated that they held our luggage after checkout until our departure to the train station.

The only "negative" (and it's minor) was the large timber beam near the foot of the bed that angled down from the ceiling that I bumped my head into a few times, so I placed a chair (with my luggage on it) immediately below it to remind me to walk around it, not into it.

I was supposed to split my trip into two different locations, but I enjoyed my first few nights at the Alba so much that I decided to stay there for the whole trip! Don't expect a hotel packed with facilities and things to keep you occupied on a rainy day, but do expect a spotlessly clean fresh-feeling stylish room that's thoughtfully designed, with a comfortable bed and a great shower. Close to not only a Tramway stop, but just a few minute's walk to Nice Ville railway station. Positioned on Avenue Jean Médecin, Nice's main shopping thoroughfare, everything you might need is close at hand. I didn't eat breakfast in the hotel, so I can't comment on that. But for the price and location, you really can't go wrong. The entrance to the hotel is quite small and easy to miss when you first arrive, but it's positioned between a branch of HEMA (the Dutch chain store) and Burger King, so you can use those as a marker.

Some may not appreciate that the toilet is in a separate room from the bathroom, but personally I think it's a good idea, especially if you're sharing a room. My only gripe was that although there was a smart TV in the room, it couldn't be used as such as it wasn't connected to the WiFi. The available channels on the TV were all French (understandable in France!), but limiting if you don't speak French. It would have been nice to be able to stream the likes of YouTube from my own device as an alternative. That said, I did spend an interesting couple of hours watching 'Friends' dubbed into French!

Location, staff, comfort and neighborhood. Everything was very good, except for the bathroom that didn’t have an outlet to my hair dryer. I have lots of hair! Those that hotels provide are not adaptable to the volume of hair I have. All the hotels should provide professional hair dryers. The hotel is near the train station and the tram. Walking distance to the Carré d’Or and the best french fashion and design brands stores. Team easy going yet attentive to all the details and safety of guests. I highly recommend it.

Good value for money compared to similar hotels we considered, so any negative comments should be considered with this in mind as we were very pleased with our stay. Great location near the station which suited us for easy days out by train. Quite a long walk to the old town but that didn't bother us. Very comfortable beds. Large shower cubicle with excellent water supply. Easy to operate safe. Adequate storage space. Appreciated having two chairs in the room. Fridge and kettle in room meant we could make our own tea (milk available at local supermarket but recommend taking your own tea bags!)

One shower product for hair and body wash, no conditioner. Would prefer separate products (but took my own). Breakfast room was too small and cramped, a larger room is needed (but maybe difficult with building layout). Breakfast offering was perfectly acceptable but nothing special. Couldn't find any English breakfast tea (but always take my own just in case). We had to wait 24 hours for broken hairdryer to be replaced.

It's a lovely hotel with tea/coffee maker, mini fridge, AC, lift. Room was a comfortable size. Staff is very helpful and the location is just amazing. On Jean Medcin with all shopping and restaurants on the street. Nice Ville station very near, Notre Dame d Assumption next to the hotel. Place Massena, old town and promonade within walking distance. Jean medcin station fr Tram 2 to airport 4 minutes away. Lovely bfst with cold meats, cheese, cereals, juices, breads. We loved staying here

Hotels sh provide 2nd luggage stand when there are 2 people in the room. However there was a ledge above the desk so we kept suitcase there

We had a lovely stay at this Best Western hotel, located right on the main street — very convenient for exploring the area. As expected with Best Western, it didn’t disappoint. The room was clean and spacious, set up studio-style with a double bed upstairs and space for four people. We especially enjoyed the nice balcony. 5 minute walk to Nice Train Station and 15 minute walk to Nice promenade. Few supermarkets within 2 minute walk - Carrefour and Monoprix. Plenty of cafes and restaurants within walking distance as well. Free coffee and tea facilities were a nice touch, and the reception staff were always available and helpful throughout our stay. Overall, a good experience

Breakfast could be improved a bit

This was a fantastic city centre hotel. Located within walking distance to main shopping streets, attractions, train station and Nice City. Hotel was super clean, larger bedrooms than the average hotel, newly renovated, very comfortable and despite its location, very quiet and easy to sleep at night. Great buffet breakfast and friendly & helpful staff. Very welcoming.

There was very little if anything I did not like about this hotel. Great price for what you get.
