The staff were excellent, helpful, friendly and knowledgable. The breakfast was fantastic. The room was generously proportioned and well equipped with a full service kitchen which made snacks and libations a relaxing feature of the stay. The location was close to the main railway station and the tram service that provides full access to downtown Nice.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was superb. Close to the train station and main shopping centre. Next to a huge art shop. About 15-20 minute walk to the old town. I liked having a door code for the room as didn’t need to remember to bring a key.

It took me a while to realise the best way to contact reception was by text. We were missing a corkscrew from our room and also someone’s clean laundry was left in our room. Genuine mistake and dealt with swiftly. I just wasn’t always sure how to contact reception if no one at the desk. But all the staff were really lovely.

Excellent stay in this beautiful apartment. From the moment we arrived to the time we left the staff could not of been more friendly and accommodating. This property is spotlessly clean and so well maintained and has such a homely feel to it! The beds were especially comfortable! It’s in an excellent location so close to the train station and 15 mins walk to the beach and old town! Special mention to Simon and Corrine who went above and beyond for us and were outstanding hosts. Great tips on places to visit and restaurants to eat in. Overall such a wonderful place to stay and we can’t wait to come back!!!

Maison Lamartine has a wonderful effective team working to make guests comfortable and feel at home. Sincere thanks and accolades for (in alphabtical order) Corinne, Julian, Noemie, Simon, Yohan who were unfailingly friendly, cheerful, helpful and efficient - nothing was too much trouble. They were happy to talk with me about my plans for the day and to hear my stories on my return each day, most important for a solo woman traveller. They provide a marvellous breakfast, all made in-house except for the viennoiseries and bread which come from the nearby award-winning boulangerie - take on the terrace or in-room and choose from juice, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, eggs, cheese, cold meats, breads etc, tea/coffee with extensive spreads for special occasions such as Easter and New Year. I had a large studio/apartment, so helpful to make my own drinks and salads (I am strict about my food intake - 95% mostly vegetarian - and so many restaurant meals in Nice and other towns were too heavy or carbohydrate rich for me). Comfortable bed, large bathroom, excellent storage areas. Maison Lamartine seems to have a range of rooms, studios, apartments etc. Lift to all floors. Linen changed every 3 days. Communicate with reception via What's App. Easy walk to train station to visit towns on Cote d'Azur. Around corner to Notre Dame de Nice. Easy walk or tram to old Nice and to beach. Close to markets, grocers, restaurants, shops, beach. I must speak highly about the effective friendly staff team.

As it has been written before, the breakfast was way above we could expect. They gave us almost whatever we wanted with super high quality. However the main reason I am scoring this hotel to the top is the exceptional level of hospitality and communication. Everybody were so kind, even if we arrived in the late hours and we got all the information well in advance, being asked if we need any further need....really awesome. Thank you for everything.

Well, I guess this is something out of Maison Lamartine controll, but we were highly disappointed with Nice itself. It is dirty, smelly (smell of pee also in the old town), having an uncomfortable atmosphere unless you just wanna have party and does not care about what is happening around. This lovely Hotel deserves a better city :)

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel. The location was perfect — within walking distance to both the city center and the train station. The welcome was very kind; we were offered croissants and coffee upon arrival. Although it wasn’t yet check-in time, we were able to leave our luggage, and when we returned later, it had already been brought up to our room — a very thoughtful touch. On our third day, due to a change in the number of guests, our room had to be changed. We were out at the time, and the staff kindly handled the move for us. I’m not sure if this is always offered (perhaps it was due to the elevator being out of service), but they were incredibly solution-oriented and helpful throughout. The room was well-equipped and practical. I especially loved the hairdryer — it even had a diffuser attachment! The kitchenette in the room was also super convenient. Both the interior of the hotel and the garden area were very cozy and charming. They even provided us with an adorable beach bag to take to the seaside. We didn’t try the breakfast, but the garden looked like a lovely spot to enjoy a morning meal. In summary, this is a sweet little hotel with an excellent location and truly kind, helpful staff. We felt very warmly welcomed and appreciated everything. Thank you for a great stay!

The staff really made the experience at Maison Lamartine. You are greeted on arrival and throughout your stay, there is always someone at reception/available on WhatsApp for anything you might need or want to ask. The staff were all lovely and it makes you feel very safe knowing they are downstairs at all times. We asked lots of questions and they helped with everything, even recommendations for Pizza! The breakfast is lovely and includes everything you could want and is served in a beautiful little garden. The room was very spacious and we loved the balconies out onto the street. The location is great, very close to a main road with lots of shops and a 15 minute walk from the sea. Thank you to the staff who made us feel very welcome and safe. We were recommended by my family and will be recommending again!

What impressed us most of all was the friendly and very attentive staff. Special mention to Corinne and Simon. We requested a late check out and they immediately obliged. Because of this, we were still able to visit Villefranche sur mer before we checked out. The location was perfect for us, near the train station, because we took the train to other towns from the apartment. Our studio was very comfortable with complete amenities. I like that they are very serious with being eco-friendly. Definitely a must to stay at once we go back to Nice. I have already suggested Maison Lamartine to others!

It's just a little longer walk to the beach (around 15-17 minutes) than when you stay in the Old Town, but it's very close to the station!

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and felt very comfortable after walking around all down and travelling. If you can get a view of the Main Street, the building opposite had beautiful architecture. The staff sent me WhatsApp messages to keep in touch and were so lovely! You don’t need a key to enter the building/your room, so that was really easy. Easy walk to train station for lots of day trips.

As 2 single females, it felt a bit unsafe to walk back from the promenade to the hotel in some of the streets. But I’m sure if you catch a tram or bus, that would be fine.
