Staff were all excellent and very well trained and always ready to help. I have never seen such a situation other than Japan where staff always stand up at the reception when inquired by customers. Bed was comfy so I had a very good sleep. Breakfast was very good. Not so many varieties but each quality is very well home made alike cooking.

In room 303, I experienced water leakage from ceiling caused by Aircon system but it was very well addressed, repaired and recovered even during midnight when only 1 staff was attended at the reception. He helped me doing a quick repair and made sure to me to fix the problem next day, which was perfectly done as said. Hotel wifi was very weak so a little bit stressful which needed to be upgraded.

Perfect location on Jean Médecin, less than five minutes walk from the No. 2 Tram stop (less than 30 mins from the airport - very easy journey). Just a short walk in either direction to the railway station or Place Messina and the Old Town. All the staff were very pleasant, and a special thank you to Pauline on the front desk. Comfortable room with a balcony, kept spotlessly clean by the housekeeping team throughout our eight night stay. Excellent continental breakfast available until 10.30 or 11.00 on Sunday - plenty of choice and kept well topped up. A special mention to Kamiko and Hélene in this respect, who were lovely.

A smart TV, with the ability to cast streaming channels from a phone would be beneficial - there are plenty of channels but except for the BBC News channel, they are unsurprisingly all in French. The hairdryer in the bathroom was underpowered and would cut out when it got too hot. Just small things, but they make a difference. Finally - and not the hotel's fault - roadworks outside the hotel one night until 3am. Apparently, this isn't unusual in France! The hotel wasn't informed about this in advance as they might have been able to provide guests with ear plugs.

Everything! The location was superb - 7 mins walk to Nice Ville Station and a tram stop just 2 mins away from the hotel. Monoprix supermarket was just opposite the hotel, so very convenient to pick up things if you were too tired to go out for dinner. Plenty of restaurants and shops in walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast was very good - loved the option of having freshly squeezed orange juice (2 juicers available to squeeze the juice yourself). The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. In particular, Pauline went out of her way to be extremely kind and helpful. The room (we were in a Junior Suite) was large and spacious, with a balcony attached to it, where we could people watch while having a cup of coffee or a drink. Free coffee, tea, hot chocolate available throughout the day in a cozy corner near the reception. A vending machine at the reception with water and soft drinks available conveniently. However, there was no ice machine in the hotel,, but the staff always got us some from their freezer, whenever we requested for it. Bathroom had hand rails near the toilet, so very convenient for senior citizens or people with mobility issues.

The lift was slow and during "peak" time, you had to wait for a while. Depending on where your room faces, it can be noisy as the tram passes by, people at restaurants making noise and church bells ringing in the morning. But if your room doesn't face Avenue Jean Medicin, its fine. The bathroom was large and spacious, but there was no glass partition or shower curtains, so the bathroom would get wet and slippery.

We were visiting Nice to catch up with family and chose The Lakmi because of location and previous reviews. We very much enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and well equipped with the usual things such as an iron, hair dryer and kettle etc. A coffee machine supplied with pods, was a nice touch. Breakfast was good and offered a wide variety of options, scrambled egg, bacon and various pastries, pancakes and homemade banana bread. The coffee was good and there was an option of freshly made orange juice. Really couldn't expect any more. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful. We're coming back in September and will certainly look here for availability!

The only problem we had was the pillows on the first night, they were hard and we felt, uncomfortable. We then found that the hotel offered a 'pillow bank' service, offering a variety of options to suit every need ... side sleepers, back sleepers, support for neck pain etc. Very unusual not something I've found anywhere else. What a lovely idea, thank you!

Great location, nice breakfast, really friendly staff. All in all, a pleasant stay and good value for money!

A few minor details: 1. The details of the payment process should be more clear. If the owner of the card that was put on booking for the deposit is not present (eg. if someone did the booking for you), they can not charge that card for the full amount. We had to pay the full amount on the spot which I feel like isn't the most convinient thing. 2. It is noisy. If you have trouble sleeping you will hate this hotel beacuse we could hear the pipes as well as footsteps from the people above all the time.

Thank you Fadha, Ana, Yasuko, and Sarah for wonderful welcome to your glorious hotel. This was my 2nd visit. Bed very comfortable and breakfast croissants amazing!! Great water pressure!! Next time need to stay longer than 1 week. Didn't get across border to Italy this time. Magical experience for sure. Castle Hill visit was spectacular with excellent Views! Met many amazing tourists on this trip from all over the world. Merci ! Merci! Yours and Vive Honolulu hotel are my 2 favorites in the world!!!! Also loved my 2 visits to Monte Carlo, a fabulous place, and an easy train ride to!!

I hated that I had to leave!!!

The staff at Best Western Lakmi Hotel were exceptional. They attended to our every need. From the moment we entered the hotel, we were greeted with a warm welcome. Fatima, Amira and Farah made us feel so welcome. This welcoming reception was extended throughout our stay also by Ana and her colleague at the reception desk. I requested a room with a balcony and this was arranged for me by the Fatima, Amira and Farah. Thank you so much. Breakfast was outstanding. There was so much of variety, both sweet and savoury and the freshly squeezed orange juice was an added bonus. I am a vegetarian and the staff especially Yusoka went beyond her call of duty to ensure that I was provided with a hot breakfast option everyday. This was outside of the set menu for breakfast. Thank you so much to your wonderful staff for all the care and concern. The room was exceptionally clean. The location was fabulous, within close distance to everything. Most of all it was so peaceful. We would definitely stay here again and I have already recommended this hotel to family and friends. Thank you for making our trip so enjoyable. Thank you for the beautiful memories of our trip to Nice!

The lift in the hotel was rather small and took a long time to get to the upper floors.

People on reception and in cleaning were very polite and helpful. Breakfast was tasty. The room was big enough. The matrass was very comfortable, bathroom was recently renovated, the temperature in the room in winter is warm. There was an electric kettle in the room. The TV had many different channels in many languages. Location was very central. There was a table and chairs. One could also put the clothes in the wardrobe. I liked it that the room was separated with the bathroom by a small corridor.

Wifi on the 4.floor was very unstable and kept disappearing every couple of minutes. The receptionist promised they will have a technician checked it up, thank you! There was a weird smell coming out of the ventilation in the corridor of the room, but fresh air from the window helped with that.

This was my 6th time in this hotel. I love its location, being about 100 meters from the tram that takes you to the airport, 50 meters from the tram that takes you to the Promenade and the Train Station, and across from Monoprix (grocery store). This is the most convenient location. The staff is utterly friendly and super nice. A special thanks to Fadha (I hope i didn't misspell her name). She is the loveliest nicest girl ever. She arranged for special room treatments (candies, a lovely note and mirror note!... saying Welcome Back) and wben i checked out she gave me a magnet with Nice's famous blue chair. Thank you so much! Other than that bed, pillows, breakfast = excellent! Thank you once again for everything!!

We were there to explore Nice city so it was the perfect location. We were celebrating a special birthday and the staff were so thoughtful! The room was decorated and we received an upgrade for breakfast and a bottle of bubbly. Thank you! The room was 314 and had a balcony with view over the street and Cathedral. It was not noisy. There is a lounge area you can use if you have time before or after check in/out, with free tea and coffee. Water provided in the room too. Very clean, with comfortable beds. We had a great stay!
