We loved our stay at the Hotel Villa Rose. It is outside the busy rush of central Nice, but still so easy to get into the centre on the tram, which is a 5-minute walk away. We were surprised with a free upgrade to our room, and our every whim was catered to. Breakfast - local Viennoisserie and breads, was delicious, and the bed was very comfy, as were the towels. Son was an amazing and hard-working host, and gave us the best recommendations of where to visit and where to eat. If you are looking for a relaxing, comfortable and cosy place to stay, which isn’t in the middle of the tourist melee, we would highly recommend Hotel Villa Rose!

Beautiful old belle epoque house with wonderful lush relaxing garden. Good location, 5 minute walk to tram stop for the centre. Lovely and helpful owners. We were spoiled with a delicious breakfast served to us in the beautiful garden.

Some noise from the road - mainly during rush hour, but that is part of what to expect in the town centre. The room we booked was a bit small for 2 people but otherwise lovely.

I loved the quaint charm that Villa Rose instilled in you the moment you entered the gate. I felt like I was transported to a time that matched the belle epoque villa. I can only compare it to some places i've visited in New Orleans, biutbaway from the wild Beale street energy. I can't explain it, but i felt something peaceful and familiar from a bygone era. I can't wait to return to Villa Rose!

Great location, and a charming house. Impeccable welcome and care from the staff who were always cheerful, friendly and helpful. The garden is absolutely beautiful, and the scent from the orange blossom was heavenly.

I was in Room 4, which is located just at the bottom of the stairs, making it very noisy. There are signs asking guests to be quiet, which they mainly were, but there is nothing you can do about the footsteps, or the sound of the heavy, clunky keys turning in the heavy, clunky locks.

We were delighted by the openness and help from the staff. They showed real interest and assisted in all questions we had. We also were impressed how they handled the parking. Good job. Excellent place for visit Matisse museum.

Perfect balance between charm, location and cost. This is the place to be when you don't have a filmstar budget but you want a great hotel. Great location, close to train and tram, easy walk to town. Breakfasts are in the beautiful and peaceful garden and yet you are in the city. And best of all, the hosts are fantastic and very helpful

Pierre and Son were very kind and helpful. Room was clean and location was very good close to the tram stop. Appreciated a kettle in my room. Breakfast in the garden was a delight.

This was the smallest bed and room I ever slept slept in. Okay as only stayed two nights and totally jet lagged after flight from Melbourne the first night to register anything.

The house is beautiful and quirky - makes for a special stay. The room had everything I needed and the bathroom was perfect. The property is very clean and the staff very accommodating.

It is quite far from the centre of things but for the price (still a lot but everywhere is a lot) and the house itself, I didn’t mind the extra walk. The aircon was very loud in my room so I couldn’t use it during the night but it wasn’t such a problem.

Breakfast, room and garden were spectacular. And the people of the staff made us feel at home, welcomed and cuddled. A gem.

An oasis of calm in a very busy city. Lovely garden room for breakfast. The father & son team running the hotel were very welcoming and helpful. Room comfortable. Short walk to tram line which was easy to use.
