We’ve been coming here for almost 25 years. What keeps us coming back are the great location, on the surprisingly quiet Île Saint Louis, and the great staff. The beds are quite comfortable, but the size of our room, this time, was small for the price. We were on the top floor, under one of the eaves, and it was impossible to stand up to take a shower. Normally, we request the other room on the top floor, which is larger and more maneuverable.

The shower, though hot water came more quickly than on previous years, was difficult to stand and maneuver in. Finally, we had to sit in the tub.

The location was incredibly convenient. It's directly across the street from one of the best crepe places in Paris and an easy walk to Notre Dame, other major attractions and various metro lines. The room was very comfortable. It looked exactly like the pictures and the staff were generally very helpful and obliging.

Our room was on the ground floor which was convenient, but we were not happy to return one day to find housekeeping had left the windows wide open to the street. There is a glass barrier to shoulder height to deter people from entering but it would have been possible for someone to get into the room. Luckily that didn't happen, especially because the safe wasn't large enough to fit a laptop. Also, the entire hotel somehow ran out of shower gel on our last night which we thought was a bit strange and wasn't ideal.

I’ve been going there for 30 years. The nicest hotel in Paris. Warm, friendly, incredibly welcoming.

A truly wonderful place to stay in Paris! This hotel is absolutely charming — with an unbeatable location and everything you need for a comfortable and memorable stay. The rooms are bright, spotless, and spacious enough, with everything thoughtfully arranged. The staff is exceptional: polite, attentive, and always ready to help with anything you might need — from directions to restaurant recommendations. It’s incredibly easy to reach all the major attractions on foot, as many are located just nearby. The neighborhood is full of lovely cafés, great places for lunch, and small shops where you can find souvenirs and charming little things to bring home. The hotel has an elevator, which is a big plus, and the overall atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and peaceful. Highly recommended — I’d definitely stay here again!

This hotel is beautiful and comfortable. The room was pretty and a decent size for Paris, and the bathroom was well-appointed with a fantastic shower. I love staying on the Ile St. Louis, as it's centrally located with easy access to public transportation but feels like a calm, private oasis in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of central Paris. The street that the hotel is located on has everything you need: great restaurants, coffee and ice cream places, and fun shops.

The only downside -- and it's not the hotel's fault -- is that the air conditioning broke in the middle of a record-breaking heat wave. Thank goodness we were only on the first floor, as I can't imagine how hot it would've been on the top level. The hotel gave us a fan, and we left the windows open until the street noise woke us up, but it was still a pretty uncomfortable night. The receptionist said this had never happened before, so I would still stay at this hotel again. Just maybe not in the middle of a heat wave...

This hotel is in the heart of Paris, just a few minutes from Notre Dame and other main attractions. the hotel itself doesn’t have any public spaces like a bar but for us this didn’t matter. The staff were nice and they did all make a great effort to speak English - we were very grateful! the room was small but nicely decorated, shower was excellent.

The lift/ steps are a little bit tricky inside the hotel, so probably wouldn’t be great if you have mobility issues. The hotel is situated on a street with small shops and some restaurants and although not a busy road, the sound does however travel upwards and make it a bit noisy.

Great location, friendly staff, hotel private shuttle service perfect for getting places! Quaint rooms. Close to attractions and many cafes.

The photos make the rooms look larger than they are. They are very small. Could hear street noise, trash truck on trash days, and some internal noise. We were on the first floor. Higher floors might be better. I don’t say this to discourage staying there, but to inform for someone who would have a concern over those things. Enjoyed stay..

My room was exceptionally clean and bright since I had a corner room with three windows. The location is perfect, breakfast was good, and the staff was welcoming and kind. It was a delight to return to the area after a busy day in Paris. It was like a little French village in the heart of the city! I would definitely stay there again, and I highly recommend it.

The only thing was the elevator. I realize there's nothing really to be done in such an old building, but the elevators stops between floors, and you need to walk up or down a half dozen steps or so to reach your room. The stairway is circular, narrow, and dimly lit. It is just something to be aware of and consider when carrying luggage.

I have been to this hotel many times over the years and love its location. It has everything you need for an authentic stay in one of the most beautiful parts of Paris. It is also really quiet and tastefully decorated!

The reception this time was a bit impersonal. A little help with luggage when arriving after a long trip would have been nice. We were perhaps spoilt in the past by the warmth and chatty nature of the previous receptionists so that was our only real grievance but it can make such a difference to a stay. A long mirror in the bedroom would also be a good addition..

Charming charming!! Loved period room decor, linens, bed, perfect pillows, and iron balcony to view an iconic Paris island street! Walk out of the pretty lobby to nice bistros and cute shops in either direction. Professional and friendly staff 24 hours, elevator, calm and quiet ambiance. Notre Dame just 10 minutes walk away. Could not be happier with my 4 night stay!
