We absolutely loved our stay at the Hotel Des Deux-Iles. From before we even arrived, to after we left, everything exceeded our expectations. Prior to our arrival, we worked directly with hotel staff to arrange cab service from CDG on our arrival day and to Orly on our departure day. Both were great, and it was so nice to have it prearranged. We arrived at the hotel in the morning, well before check-in time, and the staff stored our luggage for us and made us feel welcome, even made dinner reservations for us at nearby L'Orangerie. Later, we were served wine from the honesty bar - nice. Each evening there was a snack in the comfortable lobby area. Every question we asked was answered with a smile. Our stay was superb. The location of the hotel on Ile Saint Louis is exceptional - we walked everywhere. There are at least five wonderful, charming, unique restaurants within two blocks of the hotel. And shops! We will definitely stay here our next visit. The best part of the visit happened after we checked out. This is a wonderful above-and-beyond story. About two hours later, the hotel sent me an email to let me know I'd left a small wallet in the hotel safe. We were at Orly airport, just about to board a flight, and couldn't return to get it. Gaspar sent a link to a shipping company so that I could set up delivery of my wallet home. Because this online process was mostly in French, I had to contact Gaspar multiple times. Each time he responded with courtesy and respect. When I finished, Gaspar had to take the time and effort actually package my wallet and get it to the delivery service. I was so delighted, two days later, to get a text from my daughter-in-law in the USA with pictures of a sturdy packing box she'd had to open with a knife and my wallet, containing my credit card, my ATM card, and $74 cash. The honesty, helpfulness, and professionality of the entire staff was awesome, and so appreciated.

I wish the room could have been a little larger - but it's Paris! I've had the same wish for every room I've ever rented in Paris.

Location is amazing, you can easily walk anywhere in Paris. All staff were really welcoming and helpful, room was nicely decorated and the small touches were high quality - nice towels, great toiletries. Downstairs room comes with a little private courtyard which will be lovely in the evenings when the weather is better. Cot was provided by the hotel for my baby and he got lots of waves and smiles from the staff

Tiny niggle was that the overall room size was quite a lot of bathroom and not a lot of bedroom (although having a bath was lovely!) we had our baby with us so the cot basically took up any manoeuvre-able space. This is typical of old Paris buildings and I should have been more careful and chosen a bigger room when I also needed cot space. Staff offered to keep our luggage, buggy etc stored for us

I had an exceptional stay at Hotel des Deux Îles that exceeded all my expectations. After being unfairly profiled by a Challes de Gaul airport border control officer, I was greeted by Alexandra at reception, with genuine and comforting warmth. Her insightful and friendly assistance truly made our experience at the hotel unforgettable. Her thoughtful service encapsulates the outstanding service provided by the entire team, from the cleaning staff to the breakfast crew. We left feeling not just well taken care of, but genuinely valued and protected as a guest. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a memorable and delightful stay in Paris, and I look forward to my next visit.

Nothing to complain

Enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cozy comfortable hotel. The location was perfect for what we were looking for, it was a great neighborhood that felt like we were with the locals. The shops were perfect for shopping and meals. The staff, which included Estelle and Nacho were exceptional, helping us with restaurant recommendations and all our other needs. They were professional and informative. The Metro was close by. Enjoyed afternoon tea and coffee in the lobby with delicious fresh baked goods from their chef. We will return next time we are in Paris and will recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

The room was small with little room to get around and place our luggage to access it

We absolutely loved the hotel. We were so sad to leave!! Everything was a dream. The room was gorgeous. The view perfect. All staff spoken to were so helpful and friendly. The location was amazing. Felt so so safe. In the street was everything yo could need - a few amazing restaurants, a bakery, bottle shop, supermarket, cute shops. Super easy to get to the main area of Paris, we grabbed a coffee and croissant and walked over the bridge to the main road to get a taxi. Also has a lift!! :) We will definitely be back

We had to leave too soon

The breakfast was excellent with the staff taking your eggs order and even detail how they source their ingredients from vendors right next to the hotel on Isle Saint-Louis. Not just a standard continental breakfast that you may see in other establishments. The overall ambiance of the hotel is nice. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The decor is classy with pastel types of colors.

The pillow was pretty chunky and that may work for some people but found it hard to find a comfortable position with it. The area around the hotel is just okay. Yes, you're on an island in the middle of the Seine but it's pretty sleepy and most of the restaurants are creperie, which aren't my personal favorite.

A small boutique hotel. Beautifully decorated with a warm, welcoming atmosphere and staff. The location is walking distance to Cathédrale Notre-Dame, near by small grocery, restaurants, boulangerie, and boutique stores. Guests are invited into a charming common area upon arrival to enjoy wine, water, tea, coffee, and/or a little snack. There is an elevator which is helpful for weary travelers with heavy luggage. The room was quiet, clean, cozy and well appointed. The bed and linens were comfortable. There is a thoughtfully prepared list of available services and amenities including complimentary luggage storage after check out. Breakfast was absolutely lovely. Fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh pastry items, made to order dishes, professional and attentive staff. We will absolutely return.

Our experience was exceptional. Perfect for a couple seeking a romantic get away, or peaceful respite. I would not recommend this location for families with small children.

The staff, especially front desk/concierge, went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. This is a small boutique hotel, so nothing flashy. The room/bathroom was impeccable. Flowers arrived as soon as we got to the room. Loved the heated towel rack! Ile St. Louis is centrally located to get to St. Germain as well as the Marais, and access to the Metro is on both sides of the river. Breakfast was good- typical croissant, baguette slices and jams, along with scrambled eggs to order and great coffee served by a charming personable cook. I highly recommend this little jewel.

Can't think of a thing!

We absolutely loved our stay here as the location is perfect, in such a beautiful part of Paris with so much in walking distance. You can get to the train in 10-15 minutes walk, and there's so much around with great restaurants and shops nearby. The bed was comfortable, the wifi worked great, and the hotel staff was lovely. They were very accommodating and helped store our luggage before the room was ready, as well as after we needed to check out. The design in the lobby was super cute yet quaint, and the property has a small elevator for your bags to make it easier than most boutique properties in Paris with only stairs.

The only thing that can be challenging is the smaller room and shower size, but hey, you're in the best location in Paris so I think it's worth the trade off of a great, safe and beautiful location with so much to do around you.

First of all, the location is MAGNIFICENT. Gorgeous little Parisian street on an island in the Seine, Notre Dame in the near distance, surrounded by the cutest shops and restaurants, easily walkable... what more could you want? It places you right in the center of some of the most iconic areas in Paris. We arrived by train at Paris Montparnasse, took the metro to the Cite stop, then easily walked to the hotel (about a 10-15 min walk), which is a scenic river stroll past Notre Dame. As you arrive at the street of the hotel, walking over a bridge, past cafes and brasseries, you are reminded of everything that makes Paris so magical. The hotel itself is adorable, very neat and clean, cute/stylish decorations and unique personality, with a warm and welcoming staff. Everything was very smooth and easy, beyond expectations in terms of comfort, style, and cleanliness. From the cute wallpaper, to the free tea and cheescake in the lobby, to the wooden beams on the ceiling of our room, to the comfortable bedding, to the plush towels, we had a wonderful experience. I will be dreaming of it, recommending it, and looking forward to staying again!

One thing to be aware of is that it is very "cozy" (as are many hotels in Paris), so if you need a large bedroom/bath with room to spread out, this may not be the right fit. Or, if you are traveling with a friend, perhaps consider getting two rooms instead of one. However, this was not a problem for us at all, and we consider it part of the unique experience of getting to stay in a beautiful historic building on an island in Paris!
