The hotel is beautiful, characterful and well cared for, but the very best thing is the staff. I totally messed up my booking date and arrived a day late, late in the evening. Dida, on reception and her colleagues could not have been kinder. After trying to find us accommodation elsewhere, they leant in and 4 of them spent 3 hours preparing rooms in the middle of renovation for us to occupy. They made them clean and comfortable and we had a great night’s sleep. When my son locked himself in the bathroom (!) Dida was calm and kind, and we got him out. A good breakfast and refreshed, we left. It was an oasis of gentleness and kindness, the kind of special people and place that price there is still do much good in the world.

The Hôtel Crystal Reims Centre is a little charming city hotel. It is worn and with small rooms and bed (larger are available) but nevertheless cozy and really charming. The breakfast is adequate, not overly exiting, but there is everything you need incl. the possibility to cook your own soft-boiled egg and also get freshly squeezed orange juice - please do keep that machine. :-) The sorroundings are urban as the hotel is in the city centre in one end of the Drouet d'Erlon street in Reims makes it easy to visit every central attraction. There is a parking cellar (17 Euro pr. day) right next to the hotel as well. The hotel is located a bit from the Drouet d'Erlon street meaning that the hotel front is not at the street. You enter the hotel through a small tunnel passage and this means that is a bit more quiet than you would have though. I nice little terrase in the front and some short stairs up to the reception.

We chose a regular room and for me who 187 cm tall the bed is too short - but that was a choice of my own. It is relatively easy to hear people in other rooms but I guess not more than most other classic hotels.

The hotel could hardly be more centralm being on the main street and a few minutes walk from the railway station. Yet it is quiet, being in a private courtyard accessed by a passage from the main street. There is a pleasant old-world feel to the lobby, and the staff were charming. The management have made a good job of shoehorning modern en-suite facilities into an older property, but this does mean that rooms are on the compact side. However, this is more than compensated for by the location as described above.

Not a complaint as such — it goes with the central location — but visitors arriving by car should be aware that the hotel is in a pedestrianised city centre. Consequently they must find a space in one of the nearby underground car parks before attempting to check in. This should not be a hardship as the nearest car park has an entrance immediately opposite the hotel (which also offers a price deal for parking), but it is well to be prepared.

The location was exceptional, on the main pietonal road of the city and 10 minutes from the train station. The staff was very nice and helpful. We really appreciated the elevator since we had big luggage. They have a luggage storage room and a very nice interior courtyard with tables where you can sit and chat. The fact that the the hotel isn't located directly on the main road offers it a more quiet environment. I definetly recommend it.

We rented a triple room and had big suitcases and it was pretty difficult to manage with them.

Very cute outdoor courtyard perfect for bringing back some champagne and relaxing here. Front desk and cleaning crew were so friendly and accomplished when I wanted to sit in the dining area to do some work. I appreciated that the front walkway was always very cleanly swept clear of tree leaves each day. My room was quiet and comfortable- though my first neighbors I hardly heard but my last night I had the ones who slammed the door every 5 minutes, child ran up and down the hall, so you never know.

Older building so sometimes the bathroom had a sewer smell- so I just kept door closed

Perfect over night stay in central Reims and walking distance to central station. I booked the wrong night by accident and the hotel staff were very accommodating in helping me change. I wasn’t there for long but my stay was good. Room is simple and as you’d except for 3 star. Nothing too fancy, but good value for money. Heating was nice. Bedding and linen was good. Room felt clean.

Slightly dated room and foyer and breakfast area were a bit run down.

Hotel Crystal is a well located, small hotel boasting a definitive old-world ambience. It it tucked behind a few restaurants just off the main commercial pedestrian street, and is approached by walking down a narrow passageway and past a small garden / courtyard, up a small flight of stairs leading to the small hotel lobby.The staff, while reserved , is friendly and pleasant. The rooms were compact and a bit dated but clean and well maintained.

Typical French hotel with small rooms, but where they manage to make the best of the space they have. Good breakfast with outdoor seating. At walking distance from the cathedral and other sights.

Some parts of the bathroom were broken. Staff charged me for breakfast even if it was already included in the room price. This got returned later after I complained, though.

This is a perfect location for exploring Reims. We loved the old world charm of the hotel. The rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable! The breakfast was excellent as well.

There wasn't anything we didn't like. I've seen some reviews say the hotel is dated, which is obvious from the pictures anyway and in our opinion just added charm. The rooms and bathrooms are up to modern standards.

The location couldn't be better: directly in the centre of the city and a 1-minute walk from the underground car park where I left my car. Being so central, the building is old but absolutely functional; all the amenities are there. It's located a little away from the street - so no noise in the night, and a nice garden to relax in in the summertime. All the staff was very nice and helpful. I am absolutely satisfied with my stay ))
