Location was excellent, the room was comfortable and stylish, beds comfortable, breakfast good. The staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. We would definitely go again. The position of the room meant we had no view, but it also meant that it was quiet at night - more important for a decent night's sleep.

The lighting in the room could have been better, as there was limited natural light because of the enclosed location - no overhead light and needed to unplug a bedside light in order to plug in telephone charger overnight (for ready access to alarm!). A hairdryer would have been good. Finally, hanging space for damp towels. None of these were "deal-breakers" however, just desirable improvements.

Location was great, 20 minute walk from main station and on a side street with cafes and restaurants. We ate breakfast at hotel every morning. Lovely breakfast room and hotel very nicely decorated. The owners were extremely accommodating. My room was perfect, right size and Spotless. I felt very safe there. Would stay again.

Wonderful location, right in the heart of the medieval town with all its charm. The staff were very helpful and flexible in checking us in. The room was cosy and practical. The reception rooms were stylishly furnished.

We didn't stay long enough to really discover the best of Tours, which seems to be quite a long city spread out along the river. It's quite far from the train station, but there is a bus and tram within easy walking distance. Would reccommend researching and booking a restaurant in advance if you're looking to discover the 'gastronomic' side of Tours, as sadly we didn't.

Amazing location in the centre of the old town, close to magnificent monuments. So many restaurants on the doorstep and round the corner in the main square. My room was light, airy and comfortable, decorated in a simple, pleasing style so it felt like home and was always a pleasure to return. The hosts were charming.

French Hotel rooms don't have kettles! A challenging concept for English travellers!

It was in a lovely area with lots of interesting shops and restaurants. I thought that the Bamiyan in rue du Commerce had the best food in France. The room was lovely, with a window looking out at old buildings. The bed was comfortable and everything was spotless. The lady who manages the hotel was lovely. I enjoyed my stay here.

Power outlet in the bathroom or under the writing desk. I didn’t find them convenient. No elevator.

The hotel was in a very good location close to the main square which is busy and lively. The room was very clean and looked newly refurbished. It had excellent air-condition and double glazing, necessary with the busy location. The breakfast was the best Continental breakfast we had in France, fruit, yogurt, meats, nuts etc - not just croissant and coffee. The gentlemen on the desk was very polite and professional as well as informative and helpful. I am afraid we did not get his name.

I think it should be noted in the details that were the hotel is located is a purely pedestrian area, therefore you cannot drive your car to the door - even though google maps wanted us to do so. After going around three times we rang the hotel and they kindly explained where the underground carparking was and that we would have to walk to the hotel with our bags from there (about 800m). There is no possibility to drop off your bags at the door.

The hotel is very clean, with comfortable beds, and friendly staff.

It would have been helpful to have known in advance that you cannot drive to the hotel, that it is not reachable by car, so that we would have stopped driving around, would have parked the car, and walked the last few blocks to find it. The shower was a little strange, with a very slippery tub to stand in. We used a towel on the bottom of the tub to stand on.

We really enjoyed the location. You cannot get a car to the front door. You have to be willing to walk about three blocks but the downtown area is only about eight blocks (a nice 20 minute walk). We were close to the nightlife. There are tons of young people here. It is a college town and after 5pm, all the bars and restaurants are loaded with people. Because there are young people, there are many well priced dining options.

The room was small and had no place to put your clothes. We had to live out of our suitcase. The bed was acceptable but nothing to write home about.

The lady who greeted us spoke English, so that made it easier for me. My wife is French, so not a problem. For breakfast I wanted to take our coffee to the room, the lady prepared a tray with 2 coffees and, because everything was slipping around on the tray, and I don't go up stairs very well, a man on the team offered to take the tray up to the 3rd floor for me ! Everything in the hotel was clean and looked like it gets regular maintenance. The neighborhood was nice and quiet and in Tours, there seems to be a restaurant/ cafe/ brasserie every 75 feet !!!

A coffee maker in the room, and next time I'll ask for a room on the 1st floor, the steps are wind around and at 78 I don't do steps with luggage very well :-)

The room was lovely; very comfortable and very well kept. The soundproof windows were a brilliant detail.

Practically nothing. It was great! The only tiny ask would be a second mounted shower holder so that it's easier to have a stand up shower as well as a bath. But that was only a very minor thing.
