The location was perfect, a short walk to the beach and other shops were close by. Public transportation to Chania was easy. The staff were fantastic and helpful in every way. The hotel has a modern and clean look and there was never an issue with finding a sunbed or somewhere to sit. We have three children and it was a joy to see how happy there were each day with the pool and the hotel. I was extremely confident when I booked this hotel and it was a delight to see that the hotel exceeded all of our expectations during our stay. Athina Beach Hotel really made our holiday complete and we could not have asked for anything more from a hotel.

Location wise it's very central, close to a lot of restaurants, super markets, nice beaches and even a gym :) Right off the bat we were upgraded to a better room that had a very nice balcany and a lot of privacy. We love it. Very good and strong shower ;)

It's a super minor thing that didn't harm the experience at all but the shower head wasn't fixed on the wall and we had to take shower holding the shower head, which can challenging whn you need to wash your hair.. But it's really not a big deal.

Loved it here! From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed. The staff are EXCEPTIONAL! The apartment was very clean, very comfortable, lots of hot water . Swimming pool maintained very well and is scrupulously clean. The main thing is the staff! The staff are so friendly, wonderful and helpful. Thespina looked after my room and she was so lovely , my room was kept so clean and comfortable . The location was excellent, near a couple of mini supermarkets and a ten minute ( I strolled slowly) walk to a clean sandy beach I don’t normally visit a place more than once but I would return here.

We would like to thank Christina and her team for a wonderful relaxing stay. Nothing was too much trouble and questions queries were dealt with straight away and always with a smile. Our room was well equipped and very comfortable. The daily room service was excellent . Nothing was too much trouble. The location was great with just short walks to supermarkets bars and the 3 beautiful sandy beaches.

Great stay at Athina. Our room was as expected, spacious and comfortable. Location was amazing, plenty of restaurants; bars; less than 10min walk to the beach. Very helpful staff. The apartment was cleaned every day, dishes were washed as well, which is a big plus.

Cleaning was the weakest point of our stay. Towels were definitely washed however delivered with stains and many of them dirty, several times. Bottom sheets weren’t changed that offer. Top sheets were changed but again with stains. The room had some signs of ageing. Overall not bad, only small details that can be easily corrected.

Perfect location close to the beach and good restaurants and shops as well as quick and easy public transportation to Chania. The room was spacious and well equipped. The staff very nice and helpful! We had a fantastic vacation there!!!

It is not the first time we stay in this property and it is still by far the best in the area for the price. It feels modern and is always clean and well looked after. As itis self catering, there is basic equipment in the apartments but enough manage during a week or 2, for us 2 at least. I would say that the only thing was missing is a tea towel or 2 as I like washing our dishes myself. We got fresh towels every time the room was cleaned which was every day bar one. The pool is lovely and the deckchairs new. Those tend to be ‘booked’ early in the day though. I have not used the breakfast option but we ordered some pizza twice which is handy when you don’t want to cook but don’t want to go out either. I think a few more options of that type would be great 😊 or maybe a partnership with a local restaurant. Finally there are 3 superb beaches nearby, there is a little shade around each but a parasol or renting a sun bed ( 5 to 8e per 1 bed) would be required in high summer. Kristina and her team are brilliant and ever so helpful and kind! we had to postpone our departure and they did everything they could to help us! All in all, I would say this is still the best accommodation we have had over the 7 times we visited, and we will be back. Other points to keep in mind: There are loads of place to eat for all budgets very near. Some do takeaways and we found this to be a really good options on some evenings. Mosquitos are a nuisance, make sure to protect yourselves, local shops and supermarkets have good options, plug-ins and air conditioning are best for sleeping. Bus: There is a bus taking you to town for approx 2 per person, which runs often from the Main Street but also by the beach / left hand use of the park. Tickets can be bought at the bus stops each way. That bus can also take you to other beaches if you fancy visiting others that the 3 on your door step. Taxi: book a taxi with a fare or taxi meter anywhere you go.

The breakfast was delicious and varied. The pool was very nice. The hotel is close to four very good beaches. Our room was spacious and clean. The inside area (garden) of the hotel is very interesting with multiple floors.

Our room was on the ground floor and the patio door lock was broken, so anyone could get in. The air conditioner was very noisy. The room was a little too dark.

The room is spacious and the air conditioning super. I slept really fine. Better choose a room far from the pool if you are not with kids.

The breakfast. As a matter of fact, we took a look at it and decided not to have it. We made all our meals out.

Room was always clean and comfortable, staff friendly and helpful with all questions. Would definitely stay here again.
