Superb location on the beach, swimming pool to cool off and free loungers at the pool for guests. Restaurant and bar was amazing and hotel staff were friendly. Evangalina at the reception was very helpful and welcoming. The balcony for the room overlooked the beach and we had great views of the sunset.

Shower temperature fluctuated easily when setting it and the pressure could have been stronger. We noticed non-guests using the pool facilities and people claiming loungers with their towels without showing up for majority of the day.

The location is really great, right on one of the best beaches in the area. Parking was never a problem even during busy days. The kids liked the pool and the on-site restaurant was ok.

The great location probably means that the landlords do not feel like they must try too hard. The apartment was not very clean when we took custody. It improved during our stay but you can tell that there is not enough cleaning staff and they are struggling. The living room of the apartment was massive but empty. The couch-beds were not really comfortable. The main bed was ok. There is a kitchenette, but it was lacking proper utensils etc. Also we were told that the hotel, the restaurant and the sunbeds in the sea belonged to different businesses, which meant that we had to pay for the sunbeds in front of our hotel. Shame because with a small investment in equipment and comfort that could be a really smashing place.

Absolutely amazing destination and great value for money. Highly recommend! The hotel room was spacious, with its own balcony and self catering facilities. The beach is right on your doorstep, the restaurant at the hotel is 10/10! From the delicious food, to the most welcoming staff and the spectacular view - immediately makes you feel right at home! And the most friendly, helpful, and affordable car rental and transfer company right across the street for absolute convenience. I highly recommend using Cretan Ride for car rentals, transfer services, bicycle rentals, stand up panel rentals and more!

The shower facilities at the reception for guests to use after checkout could be improved, it was not the cleanest but super convenient to have this facility overall.

It is a very nice location which offers a calm and modern environment. The swimming pool and beach area were nice and quiet. Please note that we did not visit the place in peak season. You also have many shops and restaurants nearby, including supermarkets. Chania downtown is only a few minutes by car or ~50 min walk along the shore.

The restaurant has a nice spot. But we were not impressed with the menu, and it is quite expensive for the area and what they offer. There are better options in the neighborhood. I wish that the apartment price offered breakfast, but the nearby supermarkets helped to solve that problem.

Beachfront property, and what a beach it is! Long, sandy, shallow waters (great for kids, but wonderful for any swimmer, because you can swim out as far as you want, and still be visible to lifeguards). Very calm seas (maybe we got lucky, but it looks like the bay is well protected, and unlikely to have major swells). The property itself is well cared for, maintenance is clearly done well. Good size pool, although if you want a longer by the pool you may need to get us early and claim one before all are taken. Great beachfront restaurant on the property - we could see how much people liked it, as it would fill up every night

Not much to improve, maybe add a few more lounge chairs by the pool, if the space allows.. I would suggest booking the beachfront room, because the ones that face the pool may be a bit noisy, and some of the rooms around the pool are half-level below the ground level. Not everyone may like that. Otherwise everything is great.

Wow what a place 👌 Literally could not believe how amazing this place is for the money. 4 adults and 3 children age between 10 & 13. The rooms were great, comfy beds, plenty of space & cleaned daily with fresh towells and bedding...and seaview...perfect. The pool was great, so quiet, we had the pool.nearly to ourselves all week. The restaurant was lovely with a gorgeous view, great food and very attentive & friendly staff. The beautiful sandy beach was literally about 20steps from the pool, really great location and meant the kids could do beach amd pool in the same day as many times as the wanted. The local '21' bus ran every 10mins from the carpark close by and was easy to navigate. We headed to various other beaches and Chania twice easily. Literally the most beautiful place and location with many restaurants and bars within walking distance. Great family location 5*

Absolutely nothing

Great place at a calm bay with a nice pool and friendly staff. It is next to a public beach and park with a playground which we enjoyed. The bus to Chania leaves close by as well as the little train for excursions. We had a good apartment with a comfortable bed. Good food and amazing view from the restaurant.

The Air Conditioning system is a bit tiring as it takes a while to start and switches off even if just going to hang a towel for a minute at the balcony. Some basic things in the kitchen would be useful such as a sponge and a detergent to clean the dishes or the table. It would also be useful to place a kitchen towel to dry the dishes.

We had a wonderful stay at the Golden Bay Hotel, which was the first hotel we stayed at during our trip. The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, allowing us to use the hotel's amenities and relax on the beach even though we arrived very early and couldn't check in yet. They also offered to hold our bags while we waited. In general, the staff were very nice and made us feel at home. Our bedroom was very spacious, featuring a little living room and a kitchen, and everything worked perfectly. Although we didn’t use the restaurant and swimming pool much, it’s clear that the hotel offers great facilities. With its prime location right in front of the beach, the Golden Bay Hotel provided a very pleasant stay and comes highly recommended.

The location is stunning, being right on the beach and a beautiful beach too. Our room had a sea view, so we were able to watch the sunset from our balcony. The pool area was lovely too, and very well maintained. The Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

No toiletries or washing up liquid are provided, so we had to buy these and won't be able to take them home with us due to the restrictions on liquids when flying.

Location is lovely so close to the beach. Convenient for bus in and out of Chania. Beach front restaurant next to hotel has great all day menu and super staff. Best to come out of season for use of pool as even a few small children dominate it. As others sea best to pay extra for seaview and quiet. The beach strip has some hotels with bars and independent restaurant. Plenty of restaurants behind the hotel. Would come back.
