Veronica hotel is very close to several nice sandy beaches that are fully equipped with everything you need. But the most shinning thing about this hotel is its personnel (specifically, welcoming and helpful receptionist 👍, very kind and diligent lady from the breakfast buffet and cleaning service lady that kept doing her work impeccably! Several thumbs up for all of them!)

There's nothing specifically too bad. When seeing that this hotel has average rate of less than 7.9, I must admit that I've seen other places with bigger ratings that were not better than this hotel. You could say that it's not the new one, there are some things to be improved and renewed, but I'm not into criticizing but rather helping emphasize good things about this place. Good luck to all nice people working there!

The moment I arrived, I got upgraded to a bigger, better room ("apartment", I think they call it) for free. The staff is polite, friendly and helpful. I was in that area 10 years ago, so I decided this time to not pay for breakfast, since there are many minimarkets around. Big mistake. Just take the breakfast buffet they offer: it's good, great price (8,5€ by July 2024) it has fresh fruits, juices, eggs, the best bacon in the universe, and many more things that, in the end, are way better and cheaper (and ready to eat!) than the products in the minimarkets (I had their breakfast only the last day, and I regret that I didn't take it every day there). The pool is clean and very well positioned toward the sun, the hotel is close (walking distance) to FOUR different and beautiful sand beaches. Many good restaurants around. I strongly recommend to go to the beach between 6am. and 8:30am. The weather will be warm, the sea will be warm (again, July), and there will be very few people (or none), but by midday all four beaches will be flooded with tons of people, and that's the perfect moment to come back to the hotel and enjoy the pool. The bus 21 will take you fast to the center and back (15-30 minutes, depending on traffic). The area is and feels safe at all times.

I really had a great time there, but I gotta say that the mattress of my bed was a bit uncomfortable. I didn't want to make a fuss out of it since I got a very much appreciated upgrade (and for free), but yeah, the quality of my sleeping time was a bit affected by the mattress, unfortunately. Other than that, I was happy with everything else.

This was the best holiday in my life. The mountain view waking me up and the crickets putting me to sleep was like a dreamworld. Far from city noises it is most pleasent place, simply an oasis of serenity. People there are just lovely. Patient and in good spirit, helpful and charming. I fell in love with Greek culture.

Location is perfect. Close to the beach, city center, and many shops and restaurants are nearby. Great valute for money. Swimming pool is very nice. Breakfast is good, everybody can find something for themself. Room is ok. Lady at the breakfast is really really Nice Also the cleaning ladies

A lovely little hotel with a nice pool. We really appreciated that there were a lot of shelves and storage in the room. Good water pressure in the shower. The kitchenette had almost everything we needed. Quick and easy check-in and -out.

Given the price, everything was great! The breakfast was okay, but could be improved. The beds were extremely hard. There was no cutting board in the kitchenette.

From the moment I arrived until my departure, I was impressed by the service and warm hospitality provided by the staff of the hotel. Regarding the room, it was very clean. The hotel was conveniently situated near to sandy beaches with crystal-clear waters and breakfast at Veronica was decent as they provided a satisfactory range of options.

LOCATION The location is fantastic. A short walk to Lidl, a bus stop, restaurants, shops and 3 different beaches. HOTEL and facilities Rooms are grand but very simple. They are cleaned every day. Our room was spotless every afternoon. Kudos to the cleaning ladies. Towels and linen are changed after 4-5 days so that is great too. There is a good size pool with a deep end (2.5m) Also, people go to Chania and to the beach so it is never packed. You can always find time to enjoy it. You can buy a beach towel in a local shop (10euro per towel) or you can rent it in the hotel if you have no space in the suitcase or you simply don't need one. There is a bar/ restaurant in the hotel where George (the owner) makes sure you are fed and your beer is always ice cold :-) The food is really nice. Happy hour from 4-6pm when beer and cocktails are half price. Breakfast is very simple but enough to keep you going until lunch time. There is a travel agent right next to the hotel. You can book excursions and rent a car there. STAFF People working in the Veronica Hotel are the reason why I am going to come back. Absolute gems. Maria and Andreas at reception always there to help. George at the bar, his wife who prepared the food and Reina that looked after the breakfast - amazing people.

There is no air conditioning in the bedroom. Having said that, there was a chance to get a fan from the reception so they did provide a solution to the problem :-) The bathrooms were asking for a little bit of renovation but they were clean and that was what mattered to us. I would have liked a shelving unit in the living room area. We kept all our clothes in our suitcases for 10 days cause there was nowhere to unpack but this is me being net-picky

Location was good, nice rooms, very nice kitchen with few cups, plates and few cooking pots, it's a good way to save some money if you dont want to eat out everyday. At the reception they can help you to rent a car Very friendly and helpful staff

It coast 20 eur per person (week) to rent swimming pool towel, and bathroom towels was changed once in a few days so no no for trying to use it at the pool and for showering Kitchen was nice but would be nice if they would place kitchen sponge and dish soup

The bathroom from the apartment was really old and rusty. Toilet was continuously flushing.

Nice pool, walking distance to very Nice beaches and caves, efficient TC, managable proximity to Chania city. Always free and available chairs at the pool!!!

Breakfasts could be a bit better. Coffee should be improved massivly. Kitchen area could be better equipped.
