Great hotel beat all our expectations. It's super clean and rooms are quite large and has everything you need. The staff are lovely and friendly and the biggest plus is the location. It's literally a step onto the beach you get discounted sunbeds as staying at the hotel. There's lots of lovely classy restaurants in this area and it's only a 15 min walk to the town but go via the seafront not by the Mao's it kept getting us list and is actually quicker the seafront wat. Drinks and snacks are actually cheap at the hotel too. Avoid the mini mart next door and one further up such a rip off honestly cheaper to get at the hotel Loved it here

This hotel was the perfect choice for us - right on the beach, very close to the old town of Chania, and about 30-40 min walk to the Agii Apostoli beaches. The view from the balcony was magnificent, especially during sunset. People working at the hotel were all acommodating and attentive, always available to the guests. Very relaxed atmosphere at the hotel. We ate at the hotel restaurant on several occasions - I already miss their omelette, Greek coffee and Greek yoghurt with fruit and walnuts 😋. To conclude, I would gladly stay here again.

We did miss a coffee machine at our room, but this is something we got used to after few days. Breakfast buffet could have more variety of fresh vegetables. But these are just details and do not change the overall great impression 😊

What a quaint little hotel about a 15 min walk from the Old Harbour area. Staff were amazing, we made a special friend, who's kindness and funny stories will not be forgotten! We enjoyed our nightly conversation and laughs! Hospitality that can't be beat. The rooms have everything you need and nothing beats hearing the waves as you fall asleep and then wake up to a beautiful view of the beach. The price is right but the Hospitality you receive here is priceless! Thank you for wonderful stay, we hope us East Coast Canadians can make it back again !!!

Hotel Danaos is a great place to relax. The hotel Terrasse is a great Placebo to hang out wether you are having breakfast there or you are sharing a beer ( draft! ) with the local folks. Sea view is excellent The rooms offer every comfort a modern traveller is looking for: fridge with freezer, Airconditioning, great shower, good WIFI, TV, etc. The Staffel Steaks several languages and is very friendly. Best Placebo to stay in Chania!

What an amazing place ! I stayed there with my little boy. Location is amazing ! Sea by the entrance. Lovely sandy beach, great for kids as shallow. 15 mins walk from Chania town centre. Lots of nice restaurant next to it by the beach. I really loved Chania! Staff are friendly. Lovely blonde lady on the reception and a lovely housekeeper. Room was very clean, bed very comfortable. We stayed only one night, but I could go back any time. 5 star hotel for me.

A kettle might be a good idea in the room.

Lovely hotel..room was really nice and cleaned daily. Staff attentive and a nice breakfast (extra charge)...right in the beach with a special offer of free sunbeds and parasol. Many locals in the bar area which added to the "Real Greek" experience. Good value for money.

Music was a bit naff and seemed to be continuously looped. I must have heard "Its a wonderful world 30 times in 5 days!"

The location of the hotel is ideal. Nea Chora beach is right in front of it. The beach is well maintained, has fine sand, easy access to the sea. The beautiful town of Chania can be reached by a pleasant walk along the promenade in 15 minutes. The area is quiet, there are no cars on the alley in front of the hotel. There is an unfinished construction nearby, so it might be noise sometimes. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

I liked the location of the hotel, just across the sea and cleanliness of the room.

Furniture was uite old and pretty used. Only bathroom seemed more modern. A building was in construction across the hotel, so loud noise would wake us every morning from around 7, except for Sunday. Also people staying in the hotel were quite loud, we would hear people talking loud, doors slamed etc.

The most important thing is the amazing location—just steps away from the beach. There are plenty of excellent restaurants nearby, and the hotel itself has a fantastic bar. The beds are incredibly comfortable, and I was pleased with the cleanliness and spaciousness of the room. Our room also had a large fridge and a great AC, which is essential during the summer. I highly recommend this hotel.

I can't really give a full review of the hotel because we only booked a one nights stay. Due to the fact that we had a late night flight and the hotel we stayed in couldn't let us keep our room on as it was fully booked. However, we went and explained to the receptionist at Danaos the day before that we had booked a room but would only be staying for 9 hours. She told us that check-in was 2 p.m., but if the room was ready, we could have it straight away, which it was. We were very grateful that we could have the room from 11 am. , I can. However, give a full review of the hotel bar where we spent many fantastic evenings. The bar staff were excellent, so friendly, and always greeted us with a welcoming smile. We would definitely recommend the Danaos Hotel, but we would pay more for a bigger room with a sea view if available because from what we could see, the hotel is very popular with many returning guests.

Nothing really we booked the cheapest room and it was ample for our requirements, but maybe a kettle in the room would be a good idea.
