I felt safe as a solo traveler here. The breakfast was especially delightful; I even developed a liking for olives! Greek delicacies and omelets were a lovely surprise. Thank you also for the tips I received during my trip. Despite traveling alone, I didn't feel lonely here. It would be a pleasure to visit again someday!

In the rooms, the air isn't as fresh as it could be but okay!

The location: two min walk to the beach and seaside restaurants, 15 min walk to the old port. I prefer staying in places like this, much less crowded and quieter than on the main street, but still close enough for exploration of the historical center. The hosts were super friendly as well, doing everything they could to enhance the experience. The homemade jam was delicious.

The bed. Actually, it matched the price. Let me be clear, it is probably my own issue. If you are young and healthy and don't have problems with your waist or back, this hotel may suit you perfectly. Recalling sleeping in youth hostels ten years ago, I thought I would be fine, but this time, I just overestimated my resilience.

The rooms are small but comfortable and u have everything you need I took breakfast only once. it was limited in choice, but also very cheap, so I do not complain. the staff was the greatest experience of all. The hotel owners are extremely friendly, you get a very warm welcome and feel like you re home there. I definitely recommend. The neighbourhood es excellent. It is very close to the beach (3 minutes walking), its also very close to the old town (7 minutes walking).

not a big issue, just a note, that if you are a single traveller, you cannot have guests in the room (even for a short period, not for overnight)

We stayed in the Ideon hotel for 14 days. It is a family business hotel, located in a very quiet area. The two owners are very welcoming and eager to help. The owner, Mrs. Teresa, speaks several foreign languages. Very kind staff. The location is excellent, 3 minutes' walk from Nea Chora beach with sunbeds, restaurants and cafes and 10 minutes walk from the old town/harbour and shops. Breakfast is paid extra, but for us it didn't matter because at 7.30 we were already leaving the hotel. The breakfast area is in the beautiful garden, which is on the roof of the hotel. The room for 3 people was spacious, bright, very comfortable beds, with external blinds that do not allow heat to enter the room, air conditioning, TV. The towels were changed every second day, and the cleaning was done daily, including Sundays. We stayed in this hotel before in 2020, we liked it so much that after 4 years we returned. I recommend this hotel 100%.

The parking spaces are public, which makes it a little difficult to find a place to park, but we always found it in the end quite close to the hotel. On a positive note, in several evenings we arrived at the hotel around 9 pm, and the owner helped us each time with a place to park.

Really loved this hotel, booked for one night while I visited Chania. It was a good price and lovely little room. The bed was comfy and I got a good night's sleep and it also came with a little balcony, didn't have a 'mountain view' as stated, but I wasn't too bothered about that as I really like urban areas. I wish I had stayed here instead of the hotel I am currently in! The hotel is in a great area not to far a walk from the main city and old town, also just down the road (as of Oct 2024) there is free parking at Avea old factory, get there early (before 9am) for a good spot. The guy at reception was friendly and inviting and also gave me information of things near by and because it was quite, he even let me check in early.

Only thing I could really think of was the internet/WiFi was pretty poor in my room, but I had an international SIM, so wasn't much of an issue for me, but maybe for others.

The rooftop garden is just amazing and the perfect location for the breakfast! The owners are incredibly nice and helpful. Teresa, one of the owners, gave us many tips on what to see and eat, and one of the restaurants had the best food we had! Teresa's Portuguese, just like us, helped us feel a bit at home, and we're so happy we chose this hotel to host us on our vacation. The rooms are incredible, great space, very nice and comfortable. If we're back in Crete (and we will be), we will stay here again. Chania's old town and a beach are really close to the hotel, and you don't need a car to move around.

There's absolutely anything that we can point

📢Location: 5min to the beach. What else can I ask? Also near a local supermarket (Sklavenitis). Recommend to have a visit. If you wanna know more about local life. The 🍒 are cheap and delicious. I bought one bottle for only 1.38 💶 📢Staff: really kind and nice and friendly people. Tony, at the reception, offered me a local map and recommended a daily tour route. He’s like the big uncle. 📢room: quite comfortable. The whole decoration style is Mediterranean. The room has a small terrace where you can sit on the chair and dry your wet clothes outside. A little fridge was something out of my surprise. The hotel even offered biscuits, coffee and tea. Using the spoiler nearby, you can just enjoy a nice ☕️. In the bathroom, the hotel provides local Olive shampoo.

Everything was great — we really liked everything. The host was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and the breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Parking was also available; we were able to park in front of the hotel every day. We had a wonderful time here and can only recommend it! 😊

Maybe there should be more space where you can put your clothes, but honestly, it’s something you can easily work around.

The friendliness and responsiveness Excellent wifi The comfortable bed, and the facilities that corresponded to what I needed (e.g. kettle) Very efficient cleaning Location right next to a well-maintained beach. The sea there is clean enough to have little fishes scurrying around and birds swimming in the water hunting for that fish. Quiet street save for occasional motorcycles early night (then all gets quiet) Finally, out of the entirety of Crete, Chania is a nice destination as a balance between enjoying all the benefits of civilization but still being close enough to nature.

Nice clean family run hotel, very approachable staff for any communication, suggestions, even to lend sun umbrellas as part of the hotel benefit meaning you do not have to pay for sunbeds at the beach, nice touch. Breakfast was solid. Location a perfect balance between Nea Chora beach and Old Town.

When reserving the room just pay attention to the pictures of the room, in terms of size, space between twin beds if that is the choice and you are ok with that, you will get true value for money for sure.
