This hotel was awesome. The location is great. It's in a quiet area, and a short 5 minute walk to the Old Town area where you can find many shops and restaurants. It's also a short walk to Nea Chora where you can find lots of fish taverns and go to the beach. The hotel also has a parking lot which was really handy. Most around here do not have parking. The parking was so helpful. The room was clean and comfortable with a great bed and shower. Breakfast is offered for 10 euros or you can walk to a bakery just across the street or to a restaurant in old Town. The staff here were amazing. They were so kind and helpful. We felt very welcome. Also, the price was great. This was a wonderful value. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Crete.

Nothing not to like

Balance hotel is absolutely amazing! The location and facilities are great, but what really sets this hotel apart and makes this one of our best stays ever is the staff. Everybody was so helpful with finding anything we needed (a massage, the best place to have Easter lunch, anything we needed). It's also the small touches - the day before Easter we found a gift bag in our room with red eggs, some sweets and candles, so we joined the midnight festivities where the whole city is outside with lit candles. If we were going out and mentioned where, we would instantly get local tips we couldn't find anywhere else. Special shout out to Dora who went above and beyond. I hardly ever write reviews, but I wanted to share this: Book this hotel, trust me, you won't regret it!

We loved the hotel, small but cosy. Excellent installations, our room was upgraded to one with a jacuzzi, which was lovely. For my birthday we decided to have breakfast at the hotel and it was so worth it, everything was made fresh for us with local and in season products. The best by far were the staff, which were always available and very helpful by giving us tips on restaurants and places to visit. All the tips were excellent! Lastly, the parking is small but enough for everyone staying and the location excellent, we only had to walk 5/10 minutes to the old town and in 10 minutes you're on the highway to get everywhere else. It's definitely one of the highlights of our trip. I think my only critic is that I'm someone who likes to unpack, and there was no wardrobe.

The Balance Hotel is a new hotel, clean and with nice services. It is close to downtown. The room is quite small, but with a big bathroom and a balcony. We did not use the free parking (which is a plus) and the bycicle. They provided beach towels and an umbrella. The breakfast was really good and Giorgia (she speaks italian) was nice and professional, providing foods even earlier than the breakfast time, to keep time for tours.

Everything was perfect but the hotel is far from beaches. A car is needed to enjoy nice beaches.

That is an amazing and luxurious hotel to stay at, with a private parking, incredible personel (especially the owner) who provided us with so many fantastic local tips, beach towels and umbrellas, smile, and even some sweet watermelon and ironing service when approached. The cleaning service is done everyday. The rooms are just beautiful, we didn't use the jacuzzi in the room but it looked appealing, the bed was huge and comfy, and the terrace lovely. We didn't buy the breakfast but saw when other guests enjoyed it, looked delish!! The hotel is a walking distance to the centre and still in a calm area. I would definitely choose it again, it's worth the price for sure! Thank you for this incredible experience!! :)

We didn’t book breakfast as the hotel was close to bakeries but it looked and smelled great! The hotel was about 10 mins walk away from the Old Venetian Port and Old Town which was buzzing with restaurants, and about 10 mins in the opposite direction from Nea Chora beach which offered slightly more chill restauranting. The hotel also offered off street parking right outside the property, it was a little tricky to get out of but it was very useful. It felt very safe staying there and secure when coming back late. Big shout out to the receptionists who were always friendly and who had great suggestions for us, there were there early and late- we once got back at 11:30pm. Our room was super clean and we logged into Netflix easily!

This place is the best kept secret in Chania. Very close walk to the old town Venetian Harbor with extremely comfortable rooms, spacious, spotlessly clean and comfy beds/pillows. And the helpfulness of the manager Georgia is unsurpassed. She is the sweetest, kindest, most lovely person who goes out of her way to help with anything and everything. And now for the most scrumptious part - the breakfasts are extraordinary! We live in Europe and have traveled all over the world and literally travel outside of our home to other countries multiple times each month every month so we stay in a lot of hotels and have had many lovely breakfasts but this is a whole other level of service and taste. Simply wonderful Greek delicacies as well as eggs and coffee and tea and pastries cakes and all sorts of bread and fruits and yogurt brought to the table. It's so amazing I wanted to keep this place a secret but that wouldn't be fair. Go and enjoy!

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The room was very spacious and we spent a very comfortable couple of days at the end of a tiring vacation. There was a dedicated parking lot so we had no issues parking our rental car. Reception was easily reachable online & offline and they helped us a lot with local recommendations for beaches, restaurants and attractions. The location is about 20 mins of walking from the center, which was acceptable for us.

Not much. For those who are not keen in walking, just keep in mind that it might be a bit tricky to go to city center on foot in summer heat.

I recently stayed at Balance Hotel in Chania, and it exceeded my expectations. The hotel is centrally located, just a 10-minute walk from the main market. There's ample parking space, comfortably accommodating up to six cars, which was a big plus. The staff were incredibly helpful, always ready with great suggestions. I also appreciated that, upon request, they provided beach umbrellas and towels at no extra charge—a thoughtful touch. The breakfast spread was hearty and delicious, setting us up for the day. We truly loved our time here. Chania has won our hearts, and so has Balance Hotel. Highly recommended!

Nothing to not like about the property

The Hotelroom was new and stylish. Everything was very clean and very nice arranged. Hotel Services where amazing, very friendly. We got a warm and kind welcoming. They offered us little sweets and tea when we early arrived. The room included modern stylish furnitures. We where very happy to stay and would recommand it everytime. A small very relaxing and nice hotel in the middle of Chania near the beach. Thank you very much for the nice and memorable stay at your beautiful hotel.
