This hotel was the best!! It's about 700 meters to the centre, still very central, but we also have the option of using the car park. The room was very clean, and the breakfast was delicious (we had it every day, but I think they also offer the option to choose, so there's great flexibility). Georgia is the best, she even got some cakes for my husband's birthday and she suggested very good places every day. BTW there is a very local restaurant in the corner, please try it if you like simplicity. I would definitely come again in the future and stay in Balance Hotel one more time.

Our second time at this property. This time we have stayed 12 nights and it was great again. The hotel is very close to the city centre and this is one of the main reasons for us staying here. (You can enjoy your dinner with a glass of wine in one of the restaurants close by, and not need to think how you will get back to the hotel, since you can just walk.) Next to this all employees very welcoming and nice, always ready to help with anything. If someone visited Chania before, knows that the parking spot in the city is jackpot, so for the hotel offering free parking spaces is huge plus to book it. (At least for us, since the last thing we want on vacation is to look for parking for an hour in the afternoon.) If we want to stay in Chania close to the city centre by our next visit, we will be staying again here.

Due to hotel great position and closeness to the centre of all things, it can be louder in the night, mostly due to motorbikes. (We have realized that in Greece (or at least Crete) there is no many regulations about vehicle noise as in some other countries.) However this is to be expected not to be very quiet if close to centre, and with closed windows is completely ok.

The hotel and rooms were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The location was also perfect — just about a 10-minute walk to the city center, so everything was easily within reach. Considering the quality and convenience, it offered really good value for money.

The only downside, although not a major issue, was the parking space. It was quite tight and a bit stressful to maneuver, even with our small Hyundai i20. If you have a larger car, it might be difficult to get in and out of the space. Just something to keep in mind if you’re planning to drive.

We arrived quite late the first night and were welcomed with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. Our room was spacious and really fresh and clean. It's the best sleep we had in a hotel while in Crete. Breakfast each morning is a variety of fruit, yoghurt, eggs/omelette etc and it was all lovely and fresh. All served to your table, not a buffet but they were very generous if we asked for anything extra. They were very good for gluten free. Staff are excellent, always friendly with suggestions of what to do and see in Crete. The location is quiet despite being in the heart of Chania and it's only around 10 mins walk to the old town and the shopping district.

This hotel was awesome. The location is great. It's in a quiet area, and a short 5 minute walk to the Old Town area where you can find many shops and restaurants. It's also a short walk to Nea Chora where you can find lots of fish taverns and go to the beach. The hotel also has a parking lot which was really handy. Most around here do not have parking. The parking was so helpful. The room was clean and comfortable with a great bed and shower. Breakfast is offered for 10 euros or you can walk to a bakery just across the street or to a restaurant in old Town. The staff here were amazing. They were so kind and helpful. We felt very welcome. Also, the price was great. This was a wonderful value. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Crete.

Nothing not to like

The rooms and complex itself is modern and new. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. TV with Chromecast meant we could enjoy streaming services. Location was excellent - not right in the thick of the old town, but a short walk away, as well as being close to the beach. Free on-site parking was great and took the stress away from as having to find street parking (also did I mention it was free!!) The staff were incredibly helpful with excellent tips on what to do around Chania and even at our next step. Would stay again :)

The Jacuzzi was huge, however, the sound to get it going was quite loud and not very relaxing (also I'm sure not enjoyable for other guests).

The hotel and my room were exceptionally clean and beautifully designed.I absolutely loved the interior. When I arrived, I was on a very tight schedule. The receptionist went out of her way to help me manage everything as smoothly as possible, even though I couldn’t check in right away. While I was rearranging my things in the lobby, she even kindly offered me water and coffee, which I really appreciated. As soon as the room was ready, she sent me a message and had already placed my luggage inside. The hotel is located just a short walk, around 7 to 10 minutes from both the old town and the beach. All in all, I was very satisfied and would highly recommend this hotel.

Balance hotel is absolutely amazing! The location and facilities are great, but what really sets this hotel apart and makes this one of our best stays ever is the staff. Everybody was so helpful with finding anything we needed (a massage, the best place to have Easter lunch, anything we needed). It's also the small touches - the day before Easter we found a gift bag in our room with red eggs, some sweets and candles, so we joined the midnight festivities where the whole city is outside with lit candles. If we were going out and mentioned where, we would instantly get local tips we couldn't find anywhere else. Special shout out to Dora who went above and beyond. I hardly ever write reviews, but I wanted to share this: Book this hotel, trust me, you won't regret it!

We loved the hotel, small but cosy. Excellent installations, our room was upgraded to one with a jacuzzi, which was lovely. For my birthday we decided to have breakfast at the hotel and it was so worth it, everything was made fresh for us with local and in season products. The best by far were the staff, which were always available and very helpful by giving us tips on restaurants and places to visit. All the tips were excellent! Lastly, the parking is small but enough for everyone staying and the location excellent, we only had to walk 5/10 minutes to the old town and in 10 minutes you're on the highway to get everywhere else. It's definitely one of the highlights of our trip. I think my only critic is that I'm someone who likes to unpack, and there was no wardrobe.

The Balance Hotel is a new hotel, clean and with nice services. It is close to downtown. The room is quite small, but with a big bathroom and a balcony. We did not use the free parking (which is a plus) and the bycicle. They provided beach towels and an umbrella. The breakfast was really good and Giorgia (she speaks italian) was nice and professional, providing foods even earlier than the breakfast time, to keep time for tours.

Everything was perfect but the hotel is far from beaches. A car is needed to enjoy nice beaches.
