It is a small hotel. It was nice to not have too many people there. The apartment was a good size and had a large balcony with side views of the water and the town. It is located very close to the beach and walking distance to many restaurants. The room was cleaned daily. The staff were very friendly. There was an honesty fridge where you could purchase water and other drinks. It was a short taxi ride 10 euro from the main bus terminal. The pool was a lovely size with plenty of sun lounges.

Lovely spacious apartment, nice small pool too. Love the honesty bar, appropriately priced too. Free tea/coffee too. Always got a lounger given there’s only 8.

I would have preferred being able to access the balcony of the kitchen rather than in the bedroom as I rise earlier than my husband. It is a good location for those that want to be away from everything however there is traffic going past all the time. It’s is a 20 minute walk to the harbour.

The location of the property is amazing. It is about 15 minutes from some nice beaches and you can also walk to Old Town Chania in 20-25 minutes. All of the staff members that I interacted with were warm and friendly. The pool was also very nice.

We had the best time at Sea & City. Honestly, I was blown away by the value for money. Brilliant location - 5 minutes from the beach / lots of restaurants and bakeries etc. Then another 20 minutes to the Old Town / Port. Felt super safe. The rooms are cleaned daily and the staff are wonderful & can’t do enough for you. We had a late check-in which they were happy to help with & organised taxis etc for us. The pool area is literally gorgeous & our room was lovely too with a fridge / nespresso machine etc. There was also an honesty fridge which was really handy when lounging by the pool. Literally can’t fault it and will definitely be back!

Easy check in very welcoming staff and helpful - apartment was clean and spacious - maid service every day - pool area had enough comfy seating - good location - 25min walk to Chaina old town lots of restaurants and shops - also had private parking if you hire a car - beach was a stones throw away - supermarket/fresh bakery five mins walk - we had a late flight on the day we were leaving we were able to leave our baggage with no issues and use the pools shower facilitates which was a real nice touch - could order breakfast daily if you wished which was delicious - bottled water and beer available with an 'honest' book to write what you took - felt very safe

Situated just a seconds across from the beach and a short walk to the main fish restaurants and 25 min walk along the front to the main port of Chania the apartments were ideal. The host and owner Virginia was great, helpful and friendly always on hand. The apartments were fully kitted out and immaculate. Constantly being cleaned and tidied. Free tea & coffee available and also as a shared mini bar in the foyer which is a small cost but fair priced. The apartments have a great design and are spacious too, everything has been thought out including a W/C outside and an outdoor amazing lounge, pool and sun loungers. So quiet as it is an adult only so a perfect retreat. Again they have even made a waiting area for pick up outside with a bench and shelter which doesn't sound much but the design is great. The design and thought behind these apartments is very high standard and well worth the price.

Our second consecutive stay here. Virginia is an exceptional host - always happy to help. Consistently, THE cleanest place we have ever stayed in - it is clear Virginia & George take their business seriously but also that they enjoy what they do. Rooms are very good and well designed (storage, cooking facilities etc). The pool is small BUT it's clean, warm and more than adequate if the beach is not your thing. The local beach, bakery, restaurant, cafes & supermarket are all less than a 10 min walk from the apt. Bus stop a few mins away - €2 and 15 mins into the centre of Chania. 1st class apartment stay.

As others have mentioned, the local area is a bit run down but in no way dangerous - it is just poor local council issues - which is the same all over Crete. But this is a very minor point - the people are very friendly and the area is not overrun with tourists - if you like crowds and competing for sun beds on a beach, whilst being overcharged for food and drink then this place is not for you!

Nothing not to like

We enjoyed our stay at the apartment. Room was spacious and clean. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Pool was a great place to relax. Great atmosphere and music playing was nice and relaxing. Only 20min walk to the old port of Chania. The New Chora beach was clean and we enjoyed our swims. The apartment offers beach umbrellas and use of towels.

The apartment was great, nothing we did not like about it. Unfortunately the area of Nea Chora is not the best. A lot of uneven footpaths walking towards the old port. You need to watch where you walk.
